CDPR really screwed this one up. The complete versions of Witcher 2 and Witcher 3 always had the updates and DLC on the disk. They're supposed to be the game preservationist company where they sell DRM-free games. What a joke

PLEASE do an unboxing as soon as the Xbox version releases. There are some peculiarities that make it unique. 1) I want to see how they package 3 discs. 2) Apparently this is the first Xbox disc that will have a “Ultra HD” label, like PS5 discs. I wonder if the discs are now 66GB instead of 50GB.

And so is for this version as well.
They could've, but CDPR was too lazy to do it. They would have had to create a new SKU, which would mean having the game go through Sony's verification again which takes some time. It's not really an issue, CDPR did this with the Witcher 3, but somehow couldn't pull it out their ass to do it again.

I'm keeping my PS4 version, which I can play on both PS4 and PS5. What use is the PS5 version to me, where I have to load the expansions first, just like the original PS4 version, but without backwards compatibility with the PS4.
Except DLC is just reskinned Fallout NV DLC's that's way less hours. It's overpriced for just 15h in the game (11 if you run through speedrunning) unlike BaW and HotS together that's like over 50h and filled with contents. This one is just on Far Cry 3-4 level with enemy NPC's having Oblivion pea brains.
I dont have it myself but I can confirm that it comes with update 2.0 by default, it's basically the update that finally shows the game that CDPR promised 3 years ago
I am thinking of getting this for xbox series x, i rather have the disc then a code. I own the ps4 and had the xbox version i should sell the ps4 version maybe just the disc and keep the box. I might pick this up on the 5th, i did buy the steam version which i am glad but might get ti for xbox because it good deal.
Without connecting to the internet at least once a day the series x/s becomes a paper weight which I don’t like . Ps5 for me it is for being able to fully function offline . This is a VERY disappointing release I was waiting for an ultimate/complete edition to have EVERYTHING on disc like the Witcher 3.
The Ultimate Edition only comes with a sticker, which is disappointing. At least the OG versions have a map and postcards. Also if the PC and PS5 versions of the DLC are a voucher, then the Xbox version should have to be the same.
Why downgrade the Xbox version just because, yeesh? It would be better if CDPR went through certification again and made it a bundle so it could be complete on disc on PS5 as well.

It seems to be rare at this point. It’s not listed at Target, Walmart, or even Best Buy anymore. eBay sellers selling for about $100 now as well. I tried to order a PlayAsia US version only for it to be canceled claiming they are now out of stock. What I’m having to do is order it online for store pick up at a GameStop two hours away from home. But it’s worth the drive for me cuz I’ll be in the area anyways. I suggest try getting one asap from a trusted retailer before you have no luck finding it. I don’t believe it’s getting a restock based on all evidence I found.

It’s a shame, but I guess I understand it. Most of their pre-launch promotion material showcased Male V, which of course has associations with the piss poor launch the game had. They’re probably trying to escape that. They could’ve had a reversible cover at least though, with Male V on the other side…the same way the base game cover had Female V on the other side aswell

I dont understand this channel, its been around for years and nowadays its like why even do unboxings? You are taking away value just peeling the plastic wrapping off the games, but its all just to show us absolutely nothing as games dont include jack in physical colpies anymore. So wtf is the point lmao? I just watched a few switch ones and they were all a waste of time. 5 minutes of blabbing leading to a 3 second zoom in of a game cartridge no one cares about. And often, youll open 7 copies of the exact same game with the exact same contents and act like it was different, let alone worth it. I cant be alone with how I feel here lmao

Some people wants to see what's inside of the game case and they can decide if they want that particular game or not. That's the point of these unboxing videos. I don't see any problems with that.

It’s a shame, but I guess I understand it. Most of their pre-launch promotion material showcased Male V, which of course has associations with the piss poor launch the game had.
They’re probably trying to escape that. They could’ve had a reversible cover at least though, with Male V on the other side…the same way the base game cover had Female V on the other side aswell
