Maybe in the future, if MARTA does an additional train order, it would be cool if a limited number of the flashy flare ribbon designs make it to the tracks (but still have the majority this soon to be classic non-flare color) in my opinion
6:55 Wasn‘t the original Idea behind Atlantas Metro, to have less Stations, to allow for higher speeds? Building new Stations along the existing lines might be cheaper, but what about the travel times?
That's exactly right. But, the ridership is down and the trains are running under capacity. Quick trains that aren't being utilized are less desirable than better utilized trains that are slower. In the end, Quick Trains depend on ridership, while slower trains that stop everywhere increase ridership. So it's a fine balance. In Atlanta's case, they need more Stations and more Riders. That's my limited understanding. Hopefully a traffic engineer or planner for MARTA can answer. (Gwinnett County really could use an extension of the Gold Line to Norcross, Duluth & Lawrenceville)
I like Marta

7:23 Why does the picture of Murphy Crossing have a Chicago El train?
That's a render from the internet. Maybe the people who behind it are fans of the El train? 😅

The infill stations will also connect into future light rail
they need more in-fill stations to attract more people to use MARTA. MARTA system doesn't actually cover Atlanta wholy.
Wireless PTC? Im really curious to see how reliable that is.
What's going on with the sale of Murphy Crossing (to MARTA ?). If they can't put a Rail Station there, then it's a great area to run the Streetcar
legality issue: borrowing costs, delays in pre-development activities and legal agreements required for land use
BART, WMATA, CTA, NYCMTA, MBTA, SEPTA, Baltimore MTA, and Miami Metrorail got nothing on MARTA with their CQ400s!!
Fr
TTC did it better. However, I prefer MTA's R-211's and WMATA's #7000s and future #8000s.
One easy way to increase ridership EXPANSION!!!!!!!! Serve more places and DO NOT BUILD STREETCARS NO MORE OBSOLETE STREETCARS
First step CQ400 then Five Points and maybe expansion is next 🤔
