The narrative that Western philanthropy in Africa is sometimes used to exploit and keep the continent down highlights a critical issue in the global power dynamics surrounding aid and development. While philanthropy can bring positive change and provide much-needed resources, there are instances where it has been used to reinforce existing inequalities, shape policies that serve donor interests, and create dependency rather than empowering African communities. Instead of fostering sustainable solutions and local leadership, some philanthropic efforts may perpetuate paternalistic relationships, making it harder for Africa to assert its independence and achieve long-term development goals. For true progress, philanthropy must be aligned with African voices, needs, and priorities, promoting self-sufficiency, equity, and transformative change rather than maintaining a cycle of dependency.
@simbarashenjenge3589 we just cannot keep talking, we have to stay in silence and build the continent ourselves, kick out every NGO, and stop being beggars, and do not take any more aid. We have more agriculture land than any other continent , why do we need food from anybody that's killing us. We have the brains, why do we still continue to talk to the enemy hoping they are going to change, if we need power, put it, pay people to do it, then train our people to manage and run it well, one currency, one military, we don't want anyone putting factories we don't own, we have to own all factories ourselves, we need water, build it ourselves, why do africans go to engineering schools if they cannot build their own roads, hospitals and other projects, we are so brainwashed, we accept old clothe people wear, they dump every garbage on the continent, we have to stop talking in the public on their you tube we don't own, we should build our own network by now. It's like milima-just talk, it's time to use the brains quietly and build the continent ourselves, all curroption can stop if we do what China do to thieves. When are we going to wake up and take control, Brian should own several companies in mining and agriculture, all we do is talk

During slavery when l was in chains l lost my North African territory to tunis, ulgeria, loobia, mauritania, maroko ; Baring in mind the fact that the slave traders and colonisers ENABLED the arabs to grab those lands . I Know that the lack of armament exacerbated my predicament , also not withstanding the fact that THE PEACE I LOST IN THE CONTINENT NEEDED a physical , mental and above it all a spiritual fortitude. This was necessary to protect the WEAK IN MIND ; THOSE WHO WERE BOUGHT OR SOLD TO INFLICT SELF DAMAGE.🤔🤔🤔

You leave your soul and radicalism outside the door to sit with the master and say blessed am i 😢❤
It is perhaps not deliberately done for this reason, but helplessness may be well one of the bad effects of the charity.
Then how is it stopped?
