    Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This TH-cam channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!
    I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.
    I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
    I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!
    On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

      That's a great idea. I had some thoughts like that, making videos of my buddies using my blades vs their current clubs since they range from absolute beginner to high and mid and lower handicap golfers. I would love to pick up some select irons form current market sets like these ones Rick is featuring, to have my buddies and myself test vs the blades as well.

    Great video as always Rick! I'm sure they're probably fantastic & they look great...but they're also $1400 for a 5-PW set. I wouldn't even try these because of that price point when there's so many other offerings like the Tour Edge E/C723s, PXG 0211s, Takomo 101/101t, and other direct to consumer brands. That goes the same for the game improvement irons from brands like Taylor Made & Callaway. The vast majority of players that these irons are geared towards are not serious enough about the game to pay that kind of cash for irons. I'll keep plugging along with my Tour Edge C522s that I paid $1000 less for (and got an extra club) until I'm a good enough ball-striker to fork out some more serious cash for "player's" iron set.

But you and I both know by now that if we like the JPX 923 HM / HMP we aren't real golfers. Real golfers will be deciding between the equivalent latest Srixon model and the new Titleist series. For guys like us that got caught up in the marketing hype of the Mizunos (even though I love them - guessing maybe you do too) we have to ask (hope) to please include the 923s. I would love to see a side by side comparison of the 350s and 100s and have you show us why the 350s are not "workable" by pros (the supposed reason they don't use them) and what advantage that workability of the 100s imparts. It seems to me that if it is a pro swinging, then the same path and face angle would produce the same spin and similar ball flight (I know CG will impact it some).

    • @ieatcaribou7852
      @ieatcaribou7852 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question, I've always wondered that. I suppose the T100s are thinner and therefore easier to work, but I'm sure a pro could easily work any club.

    • @adidharma6117
      @adidharma6117 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      because of the forgiveness the club will 'correct' pro's intended swing to be straight. pros need to get the ball flight curved as well as their intention. because there are wind, humidity, trees, poles, etc

    • @DanWessonSpecialist
      @DanWessonSpecialist 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hit all the clubs straight and there is no need to work balls. I only shape the driver for dogleg holes.

    • @hvi1981

      @@TreyZerSxS nope kept them all standard apart from length and lie angle. Currently gaming my old irons, a set of Mizuno JPX 919 Hot Metal 5-PW, as the golfing season is basically over where I live. I have one course with winter greens, but as all the tees are now with mats, I hate scratching those shiny Titleist irons off a rough and sandy mat, so they're out of the bag until spring time. I hit them slightly longer than the Titleist irons, but with less accuracy and feel. Can't wait for spring to come :)

    Love all the reviews so far, looking forward to the driver reviews. Hope you test all the version like you've done here so the higher handicap player can get a sense of what might be good for them. I'm a Cobra guy so looking forward to that. Another item that I need some help with is a rangefinder. I've had 2 Bushnell's with slope functions that didn't keep working. Seems to be a common problem for Bushnell and I'm wondering which brand has a slope function that will keep working beyond the warranty time frame.

    Had the pleasure of hitting these today. 100s are scary but look and feel amazing. 150s very similar to the first series 200s but the 200s and the 350 just easy to hit and the 350 goes a country mile. Would very much consider 200s as the yardage is the same but prob have 350s 4&5. Torn between the 150s & 200s though. But if better scores are the name of the game then choosing the easier club to hit will be the go.

    My only issue would be that being game improvement, it means they are more geared towards high handicappers, and im not sure golfers in that bracket want to spend £1069 on irons alone. That said, they are def the best-looking game improvement irons I've ever seen.
