Agreed about those particular wheels... They're more suited to a FOMOCO product, they're repro Thunderbird wheels.
I wonder why the previous owner didn't opt for the more correct (and better looking, imo) reproduction Skylark wire wheels? The same company makes them.

The wire wheels would go if I had it. They were available at extra cost (about $600 a set in 1956) and relatively few were ordered.

Now, THAT is a beautiful car ! A little pricey, but quality restorations like this one ain`t cheap. If I win the Powerball, I`m gonna pull up in front of 15100 Keel St. with a new-car carrier (I shit you not !)
