Night shift here too! Medsurg din ako pre.. i know the feeling.. pero alam ko makakaraos din tyu :) im almost done too with my buddy shift.. mag sosolo na rin.. 🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼 prayers nalang lage bago mag start work na sana matapos ang shift ng maayos.. 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
Hi Sir wla p po ko s US pero I think, but in any work nmn. po, one factor n mkkt tulong po s inyo since blessed nmn kyo s work mates nyo like sbi nyo po ay enough rest and sleep. kulng k po s tulog + stressful/toxic /night shift pa yung work nyo. kulng k p ng tulog mhirap po tlg yn. I hope u can find ways n mkgwa ng tulog kht 6 hrs pra mkpgiisp k ng maayus s work at mkpg focus k, u knw better :) dim lights, relaxing music, scented airfreshner, melatonin etc.. eat healthy, vitamins, exercise . I believe n mkktulong po yn syo physically and mentally for your safety and your patients, lalo n s kind of work that you have. goodluck po :) u can do it!😊❤
i came across ur channel, i feel you bro, im a nurse here in Stanford University Palo Alto California, i suggest you move to Days, night shift is not healthy and remember you have to take care of urself. After gaining enough experience in the floor, go to specialize units like ICU, PACU, Heme/Onc, BMT etc where the stress level is not as much like in the MedSurg. California Bay Area has strict Law regarding safe RN patient ratio and the pay is high too. Cost of living is high but you still can save depending on ur lifestyle, God Bless and good luck further on ur chosen career.
I feel you! Just recently working as an RN here in 🇨🇦 as well. Same experience😢 super anxious din ako bago magwork. Inofferan ako sa Pre Surgical Screening clinic and it works well for me. M-F 8-4, no direct patient care. The same salary😊 so try to apply sa ibang area.
@@RNajpacris kaya yan! Nag ER ako dati dito pero 3 months lang ako tapos nag casual na lang ako and then full time sa Pre Surgical. Di ko na feel mag 12 hours shift and night shift. Lalo na dito puro snow pag winter. Good to see videos like this kasi nalalaman kong I am not alone sa RN journey ko putside PH☺️

11 years akong nawala sa nursing. Pagkagraduate, napunta ako sa ibang landas. Ngayon, nagbabalak ako bumalik sa nursing. Di ko sigurado kung posible pa or kung kakakayanin. Nku po Lalo aku kinakabahan ... subscriber nyo po aku' new nurse din and still in preceptorship phase... ang hirap nga Lalo na first day' hirap basahin Lahat ng notes ... same struggle po, pre shift anxiety, Lalo pakikipagusap ng doctors' any advice po sa prioritization mo ng patients and talking to the doctor. Wahhhh tlga po??? Kala ko ako lng po nkakaramdam ng ganun… kung kaya nyo po maaga po kayong pumasok pra maging familiar po kayo sa patients at mga cases nila.. usually nmn po ABC ung pg prioritized ng pts.. tas sa pakikipgusap sa doctor SBAR format po.. nakakatuwa nmn we have the same sentiments..
Ibang adjustment nga tlga pag nasa US kna at nagsisimula plang. But when it comes to katoxican sa pasyente at sa doctor sanay na tayo jan sa pinas plang.

@@RNajpacristhat’s a heavy unit, no wonder you keep saying it’s toxic. I used to work the neuro unit of our city children’s hospital 35 years ago. When I get a post surgical brain surgery kid that will be it for my shift and the most I get is 2. I understand nursing care or healthcare had changed, it had been a pleasure working with nurses that you can rely when the tough gets going. I call our resident doctors their first name and they’ve a joy to work with. Our consultant neurosurgeons are the most professional I’ve ever worked with. The word toxic is a stranger to me that time. The inconvenience of the long drive made me quit that job and pursue in consulting. Always remember when things goes out of lane always refer it to your charge nurse. Once you get the hang of the daily routine you will be having a cake walk. Good luck, be hungry for a career, take pride of what you do, and say a little prayer when things don’t go your way.
