    I have used Scum Frog lures for years and they are every bit as good or better than the ones that cost twice as much and have more realistic graphics.
    The recent trend of super premium lures, especially Japanese ones, that cost $20, $50 or $75 or more is absolutely ridiculous. The misplaced egos and vanities of fools who spend that much on lures will drive up the prices of more reasonably priced lures to the detriment of all anglers.

    • @toddwilkinson621
      @toddwilkinson621 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No kidding. Anything with "Musky" written on the package requires mortgaging the house these days too, and yet I've caught as many of those when just out throwing top water for bass over the years. Crazy prices nowadays, even plastics are rediculously priced.

I'm going to try them out next trip out...I like the idea & would hold up against pike much better....a profile the fish haven't seen...That "cotton" makes fishing with braid damn near impossible...u can pull it off easier with mono

    What kinda knot do you use for frogs?

      I just tie a Trilene knot most of the time. I’ve used it since I was a kid so I can tie it without even looking.

    That explains why I only heard about squeezing hollow frog lures recently; I've only ever used scum frogs!

    I can empathize with the CWFF (cotton wood fuzzy float) experienced in this video. I have a favorite lake in Michigan that I travel to a few times each year where this is a real issue. If there is a healthy breeze, it helps push this stuff to one end of the lake, but it is miserable if not impossible to fish with a buzz bait or a whopper plopper when this fuzzy stuff is on top of the surface!

    You have a good catch average on frogs. Good job. You provide some exciting fishing trips for several different species. Thank you.

    Cottonwood was bad up until last week. Even worse for spinning reels. 2022 Cottonwood was worse ever seen. Couldn't even fish from bank it was so bad. Northeastern Mn lakes anyway.

    How are you able to cast a light lure so far on a bait caster ?

    • @ndyakangler
      @ndyakangler  15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thin diameter braid and the Daiwa SV reels will get light lures out there farther than I can cast them with a spinning rod.
