Well... she studied Metaphysics and philosophy in college and she always says she's a poet first and then a singer... that's probably why you found it so poetic. She released a beautiful poetry book a couple of years ago
Ride basically very much inspired a tumblr aesthetic. So many screenshots from this vid were all over tumblr. I think when she says “she believes in the place america use to be” she means the concept and thought of america as a place to make it. A place where anyone can have the American dream or their own version of it. Before the smoke and mirrors lost their power. This was the beginning of the sad girl era and that outlook on life and the world.
The head piece was given to Lana by a Native friend. She also did apologize for wearing it after she was told it was wrong. She wanted to embrace its beauty cause it was a gift.
My first thought was being it appears to have a 70's esthetic ... it was more accepted back then ... Thinking of the village people ... But thanks for the insight ... was curious
Coming back for every lana reaction because it’s nice to see an open minded and receptive reaction to L. and this makes me excited for you to get to hear her later albums too!
I can tell you I've been a wanderess, nomad for a long time. Due to trauma, PTSD and abandonment issues, I never let anyone too close. I leave before they can. It is an extremely mind expanding, free, incredible experience to live that way. I would highly recommend experiencing it for a short time. I've lived all over the world and I have only one regret. My one regret, is when you live that way for too long. Because by doing so, you realize everyone you used to know, friends, exe's they grew up. They got great jobs, married and had kids. You end up left behind if you do it too long. When you come back, you are alone. Travel, be wild and free, fully immerse yourself in the experiences life has to offer. Even if they don't end so well; it's fully worth it. BE YOU!!!!
Curious do you have borderline personality disorder? Constantly pushing people away and cutting them off is a form of splitting and it really sucks but we do it because we're trying to protect ourselves. I have ptsd, cptsd, depression and borderline so many diagnosis can mimic each other especially bipolar. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. 💜
I feel like it’s universal amongst her fans that unless you personally know her, you will never truly know who she is. I think that’s part of her allure and what makes her story telling so good. Lizzy/Lana did have a hard life growing up because the way she perceived the world and herself were so complex (you can hear that in her earlier works as well as old interviews). The video doesn’t accurately portray her past, but it does convey some truth; such as wanting to go wherever life takes her, believing in the kindness of strangers, long and lonely nights (I’m assuming).
I really enjoy your lana's reactions, you need to listen to some of her unresealsed material like fine china or yes to heaven, btw, I would also like to recommend Marina, she is another pop singer who started her career around the time of Lana and they were like the queens of tumblr around 2012
this probaly one of my fav songs from her (other fav is probly Body Electric, no vid for that but still a whole vibe), this music vid is a journey.. and yes tumblr ate this up for years, she's a great storyteller
When i'm at war with myself I fuck (ride) Hahaha, i have never seen it like that, it was so funny but it makes sense There are a lot of things that you can do to get out of your brain, drink, do drugs and also have sex because of the emotion that it gaves you
I found this video when I was 13, became obsessed, and what do you know? I'm 22 now and I've been selling myself for a few years now so that I can pay rent :) fuck
i love watching people listen to lana’s music for the first time because i get so passionate i’m screaming at the screen how she’s an amazing writer it’s unbelievable
Please react to Tropico!!! Its a short film (30 minutes) with 3 songs in it (you've already reacted to one, Gods and Monsters) and some poems. It is so so good
One could see it as ' Ride ' as a double entendre , yea but other meanings too ... ' Ride ' literal as the motorcycle visual // But the main meaning to me is ' Ride ' as going through life enjoying .. carefree To me I see this video as a fictional character story / not literal Yea , some insight from personal experience here and there But not Lana's life story ... And I prefer how the video is realistic ... not hyper handsome models as ' boyfriends ' . ~ Just about any other popular musician would have shot the video with models .
no she’s not native american. i love lana and am a huge huge fan of her, but she definitely shouldn’t have worn that head dress. i love this video and the feeling it portrays, even to this day, but a couple things in it definitely didn’t age well lol
No she’s not native lol that shot of her is deeply offensive and disrespectful and is one of the many questionable things she’s done. But the song eats
She is one of the most influential artists in the history of pop music
So says Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, Adele, Grimes, Olivia Rodrigo
Except she's in her own genre, not pop.
@@susang1107 yes she isn't pop but she has influenced pop music cause a lot of them use her sounds

Only dumb wokists have those stupid ideas. I nothing wrong to dress like people in other cultures.

I really enjoy your lana's reactions, you need to listen to some of her unresealsed material like fine china or yes to heaven, btw, I would also like to recommend Marina, she is another pop singer who started her career around the time of Lana and they were like the queens of tumblr around 2012

There are a lot of things that you can do to get out of your brain, drink, do drugs and also have sex because of the emotion that it gaves you

This is so Jack Kerouac, it’s Lana’s On the Road…
I found this video when I was 13, became obsessed, and what do you know? I'm 22 now and I've been selling myself for a few years now so that I can pay rent :) fuck

Bro you missed great shots to read the lyrics...? The chick spoke in the clearest English!
About the double-entendre: yup. :D
If she likes also older guys is not your problem, it is her choice.😂😂😂
Please react to her song American, Never Let Me Go and The Blackest Day
Are you ever going to react to a whole album in one video? Or are you just going to keep reacting to one song at a time? :)

All her music is definitely at least semi-biographical

Disrespectful to who? Are you native?

I dont think lana was a literal prostitute, just sayin
You gone to fast, and lost the message.
