Everyone is acting as if Asta and Noelle are eager to see each other again. Like they already are a couple but this could not be further from the truth. Noelle couldn't confront Asta for 15 months. Now she has even more reason to avoid him because she doesn't know what's the deal with this nun and I doubt Asta will tell her about it. He took a private moment with Lily because he obviously didn't want people to know.
Let me make one thing clear. I am really confused why people compare mimosa to noelle. Mimosa's love rowards asta is pretty much a simple crush. I guarantee asta did not have a single significant interaction with her that could make their relationship promising. On the other hand, Noelles love for asta has a lot more to do besides romantic feelings. I know asta has no interest for anybody except lily but his bond with noelle is deep, there are many subtle moments and parallels between them. I do not need to call out every single thing because its very much known by the ones who have read the manga or watched the series carefully
it will be interesting to see how Noelle is going to cope. But the fact remains that Asta confessed to someone who is the complete opposite of Noelle. Someone who - is of lower birth - has low magic power - is older than Asta - knows him longer - Asta only knows caring and kindness from How in the world is Noelle supposed to keep up with that. Asta said he still wants sister in his life to see him become wizard king. Yes, Asta is a man of his word and won't pursue Lily anymore. Plus Noelle didn't say "Asta loves you, so why?" She said "you're Asta's....so why?" This means she doesn't really understand what's their relationship and can't just pry into his business. Asta is eager to defeat Lucius so that Lily and Damnatio wake up again.

When the situation on the roof escalated Asta didn't even notice the 3 girls who came to his rescue. All his mind was "sister I swear I'm gonna save you". Asta is a very straightforward person. For him it's always one thing after another. So he will not rest until Lily is back save and sound in the church again and for that he needs to take down the antagonist. Noelle would not kiss him as she would overwhelm him. She didn't know how to confront him for the last 15 months and now she has even more reason to avoid him.
The Story is fictional and its been hinted multiple times so its prolly gonna be Noelle But if this was a real life situation Asta should chose Mimosa. More compatible, less Drama

He will not rest until sister is back save and sound in the church again. Noelle couldn't comfort Asta for 15 months and now has even more reason to avoid him because she doesn't know what's the deal with this nun and Asta will not tell her unless she admits to have been spying on him. This is why Asta took a private moment with Lily. Granted, I wasn't originally a fan of turning Lily into a damsel in distress just to be saved by Asta but you can't blame him. The black bulls can at least defend themselves but the people of his church. They cannot defend themselves. So I think it's better for Noelle to learn a lesson here. It was never mimosa, Rebecca, Sally or Lily in the way of her happiness.
