True. Your first review of Suzuki V-Strom 250 (based on your riding experience to Ladakh) was so good that it changed my view about the bike. I am a highly skilled biker, and I can say V-Strom 250 would be the best option for those looking for all the important tick marks - Style, Looks, Mileage, Speed, Budget, Reliability, Tubeless, Adv., Weight, etc. It can be used on a daily basis for office commutes and weekend rides.Even, I am going to buy this very soon.

I recently purchased my vstrom last month on 3rd and have allready clocked 8+k kms nearing my 3rd service.. and its my best purchase ever. Its quite underrated.. but once you own this peice of art. Living with it would be fun. A perfect do it all for one garage motorcycle.

I would go with V strom any day , My Review after 10k kms -
I own v strom and in terms of mileage, I usually get
38-40 in cities and in heavy traffic it can go down at
35-36 depending on each riding style. On highways i usually get 43-45 on 70-80 kmph, you can even get 50 kmpl on lower speeds, riding beyond on 100 kmph, the mileage drops as expected. In terms of durability and quality, all the components in v strom are top notch and service costs don't go beyond
800-1000 rupees. The best part is even on 110-120 kmph i never felt any vibrations or buzz unlike RE bikes, in-fact v strom engine gets smoother on higher speed and control is beautiful, i feel even more confident. You can ride on
100-110 all day long, no tiredness, after every
100-150 kms usually i take a small break which is of course important to relax muscles
Coming to suspension, i guess its important to be little stiff, maybe this is how it is engineered to have better control on higher speeds, and with the looks of v strom, it nails it in this segment, it has amazing road presence, infact i fall in love every day with my v strom 250 whenever i see it, I can bet on Suzuki v strom anyday, it can never fail on you , Suzuki bikes are called the toyota of motorcycles for a reason, on the other end we all know the quality, reliability, durability issues etc of RE bikes 😢 all the best 🙌👍

Your description gives me a lot of confidence. I am just 55 plus😀 and have been travelling on long routes for more than 3 decades (covered more than 200000 kms till now on bikes). Starting from Yezdi 250 (2 stroke) to Suzuki Shogun, RE Bullet, to Himalayan 411. Pissed off by RE overall, I was searching for a lighter but capable bike with excellent ergonomics, decent service network and standards, dependability, fair maintenance cost, and cruising comfort at the speeds of 100-110 kmph at the most (beyond those speeds, Indian roads turn unmanageably dangerous) and most importantly how the bike performs (or) lags while riding with pillion and luggage (total expected weight on the bike may be around 170 kg max). Can you give proper, informed, and tested feedback on this particular issue (performance with pillion and luggage), please! I will be thankful to you because it will solve a great deal of confusing issues for me : Triumph Scrambler 400x or Suzuki SX 250?? Himalayan 450 is out of contention already. Triumph Scrambler 400x is well finished and well performing but on the little heavier side for me. While testing Suzuki SX 250, I felt so well posture-wise and otherwise, but the testing time and distance wasn't enough to get the performance level with pillion and luggage. If this bike had at least 300 cc engine and 32-33 Bhp, I would take this, blindfolded. But the Bhp getting restricted to 26 levels raise my doubts though it's also equally true that the bikes from Suzuki, Honda or Yamaha always punch above their weights!!
Can you help me out, please? I have been requesting this channel to give me this feedback, but I could not have any, till now.

@@vilaskulkarni3147 Hello, i had the privilege of keeping the vstrorm 250 (test ride bike) for about a week. In my opinion if you will be touring more on highways with pillion and luggage then i would suggest the vstorm over scrambler 400x. And it doest feel like a 26bhp bike to be honest. Scrambler is more of a city oriented bike.

  • @Dpac34
    @Dpac34 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

To be very honest. I had a V storm, clocked it for 8k. I absolutely loved everything about the bike. Looks, pillion comfort and every else. But there is a huge problem and that is suspension. It is a perfect city commuter. I owned RE Himalayan before V Storm, sold that and took Vstorm because of Tubeless tyres and lot of people claiming that the suspension on paper may be less but it works magical. I thought may be lets give it a try.
    The conclusion from personal experience:-
It is the best handling bike I have ever purchased but with bad front suspension and worse rear suspension. Suspension in my RTR Apache 200 was far better than this. Especially with 835 seat height, they could have done better with the suspension. It had all the potential to be the best in the industry with the trust of Suzuki but they messed up with suspension

I own a vstrom and have rode it for 4k kms. Just set the rear suspension softer by 1 level from the factory settings. You will really like the bike for handling while riding solo. Had back pain earlier and I did this change to suspension setting on my bike and have not got back pain since then 😊

I have been riding a 350 bullet standard for traveling 500km per day during my trips. I always thought of upgrading to Himalayan 450. But now I'm thinking of testing the Suzuki V strom 250. It checks my cruising speed requirements (15% of riding) and ease of maneuvering in city (85% of riding). I just hope there are no vibrations at 110 and 120kmph cruising speeds.

V Storm is a Breeze to ride ... Just commutes at 80 kmph even in city as if we are riding in 40s. The biggest blunder the engineers did is with rear suspension. Back pain guaranteed, till it settles down.Gear shifting and clutch play is another pain points, till u do first service. Suzuki has to learn from Honda on these issues. New Honda is like knife in butter. V storm is knife in butter after 1st service, till then, it's needle on ur back. Driveability, road presence, seat position are amazing. Handle bar riser is a must. Overall great reliable machine. Just fine tuning with suspension and pre first service issues will make it a dream bike.

Top speed is last feature that shall concern a tourer. Most important thing is comfortable cruising speed which can be maintained easily and easy to ride with all luggage you carry.
Second most important thing should be range.
Third most important thing is braking
Fourth most important thing is average if you ride on budget 😜
Electronic features are secondary things to consider if it fits your budget you can go for best tourer.

These two motorcycles can't be compared directly. If money is not a concern and you want more power, go for the Himalayan. If budget is a restriction and you have a height of 5'8" or more, the V-Strom is a good choice under 2.4 lakhs. The V-Strom is a capable and reliable bike. However, if money is the deciding factor, one might choose a better option and go beyond the Himalayan as well.

Dear, thanx for this video! But I have been asking you since last few months : how can Suzuki SX 250 perform with luggage and pillion but I wasn't provided any clue about it. You may have your contrains about it but you have good luggage set up and a good pillion at home (you have travelled with your wife earlier😀). I want my next bike to serving all purposes (priority would be long touring, semi off road capabilities because Indian roads give huge surprises). Test ride of Suzuki 250 didn't give enough clue about its sufficiency of performance with pillion and luggage. Please let me know of this combination and bike's performance in that situation.
RE Humalayan 450 is no no for me. Reasons are : I am just on the wrong side of 55 (but want to continue my 35 years' hobby of long touring) and the bike must be lighter or must feel lighter. Himalayan 450 doesn't suit the criteria. I had last touring adv Himalayan 411 of 2018 make, got pissed off due to sheer undependibility and poor ways of RE service network, overall. Looks of Himalayan 450 too aren't apealing to me. So, Himalayan 450 is out of contention. I took the test ride of Triumph Scrambler 400 and found to be pretty good, quality wise, weight distribution, etc. I want it to be untiring for long hauls. I'm still not sure about it (ergonomics wise). Suzuki scores better on this but i want to be sure that the bike must be capable enough to cruise around 100 kmph with pilliin and luggage and it should have some juice left for occasional overtaking in such situations.
I was also waiting for TVS 310 RTX (the name is registered for their adv last year) but it's still in waiting forever kind🥴. So my hopes lie with Suzuki SX 250 vs Triumph Scrambler 400x.
By the way, can you make a comparative video on Triumph Scrambler 400x and Suzuki SX 250??? Doubts would clear! Thanx!
