Hi 👋 Greetings from New Zealand. I like Average White Band. And the soul / funk band War. I was in my teens in the 1970s. Cut the Cake from 1975 by AWB is my favorite song of theirs. And Low Rider by War also from 1975 is my favorite song by them. My favorite Beach Boys song is I can hear Music from 1969.

Last two days driving from AZ to TX - listened to XM Radio a lot in a used car we just bought. Phish, Jazz, 70’s, 60’s, French Pop music.
I think those are some good scores - 15 CDs for $18.00 is nothing to sneeze at.
The last stuff I “scored” was at a Half-Price Books place - mostly jazz box set mixes that were cheap on a CD by CD basis (for instance - a 6 CD box for $9.00)
Most of the thrifts near me have been scoured clean because people are buying CDs instead of LPs.

Cds are the way to beat the vinyl records ridiculous prices, in most cases they sound better with a good player and a good dac, easy to store, records take a lot of space to store, also records collect lots of dust because of static, cds are so much easier to take care of, records need a lot cleaning and maintenance, to me is 1. Cds 2. Streaming 3. Vinyl records, get your cds now because they're gonna get expensive like vinyl records, thank you for your videos.
Things are so laughable and cockeyed now. I know one dealer with a small store…CONSTANTLY has his phone ringing with young people begging and asking if “any cool rock vinyl” has come in. He also has CD’s. And you can guess exactly what he has in the stacks. Rock. Jazz. R&B. More. Buck apiece. But he cannot move them. No takers. Don’t even bring up the cassettes. Or the 45’s. Nope….his clients all begging for vinyl albums. It’s all cockeyed. But hey…let the feast commence for us and the silver discs!
