Kento Miyaura (宮浦 健人, born 22 February 1999) is a Japanese male volleyball player from Kumamoto City, on the island of Kyushu. Currently, he plays in PlusLiga for PSG Stal Nysa. He used to be the captain of Japan U-19 team and Waseda University's club.

I've been rooting for him ever since he came on board couple of years ago. He was out
shining Nishida at times but lack of International experience kept him on the bench.
But then he went to play in Poland which was a great move on his part and look what
happened. He came back better and stronger than ever.
Go Miyaura go. Now Japan has another OP who is as great as Nishida and see it already
helped Japan win this game while Nishida is on IL.
BTW I applaud commentators for pronouncing his name correctly.

Nishida has no injury, he play strong as before.... Since he's a little well known from last year, coaches and players study him so that is why he been blocked by almost every team this year... That also why Japan coach sat him out more and let Kento play, other players don't know how Kento play yet, that's why you see him hit pass all the tall players...
Kento Miyaura's placements are second to none. He hits with power and precision. I havent seen such accuracy in a long while. Keep rockin it steady team Japan.
I will always support Argentina (my country) and Brazil, but Japan is my favorite team. I love their style of play, and they are a super balanced selection

As a haikyuu fan , I think Miyaura is more like lefty Sakusa 😂 I’ve been rooting for him since 2017. He is really more technical than Nishida’s pure power.

He is on the same level with Nishida already.
I wouldn't say as powerful or fast as Nishida but definitely more technical, better defense, and thinks more when it matters which unlike Nishida who has a more "blast em all" kind of play style which has so far during this league blown up in his face unfortunately
Miyaura is one year older than Nishida. When they were high school students, Miyaura was the starting lineup and Nishida was the sub in the under age category. After that, Nishida chose to play in the senior league and Miyaura continued on to university. And now they are really good rivals who work hard together in the Japan national team.

It was u19. They are from different high schools. Miyaura was the captain when they won the Asian Youth in 2017.

i dont know, he is at his prime but recently many serve errors and inefficient attacks made him sit on the bench. proprably in 2,3 years he will be completely replaced by miyaura
