😨😳Crikey that first battle.. they got a cheeky shot in there just saying.. ouch.. But 2nd Well done Captain.. love the ship and the phasers.. always sounds like lightning bolts.. again engineering got hit but still kept going.. nice. I have found that the Romulans and Klingons have the same name ships.. that is funny... love the video Captain. maybe in other battles could refit with those darn plasma torpedos.. that would be great.. !!😊🖖
Star Trek: Starfleet Command's lore had these as "Old Series" vessels that were pre-warp in their original design, fine against the cruisers of its heyday but no more capable than modern frigates. Still, they had that damned plasma torpedo launcher. Luckily, cloaking forces them almost to a crawl, and the torpedo loses power over distance, so fighting them does really feel like Balance of Terror.
Hmm...not sure if I like this particular design. I mean it looks interesting but yeah...not sure. That was hilarious when you were talking about getting hit by a second one then bam. Yup those plasma torpedoes are big time devastating. That's good you survived the second attempt. Yup that one that barely nicked you still did damage.
I've always said the Romulan plasma torpedo was the answer to why Starfleet doesn't have cloaking devices per the Treaty of Algeron: the trade was that Starfleet doesn't get to use cloaking devices and the Romulans don't get to use these torpedoes anymore. So the Romulans get to sneak around and Starfleet doesn't, but that's okay so long as the Romulans' asteroid-destroying weapons no longer pose a threat.
Makes sense to me. The first time we see them, they're already capable of pursuing a ship at warp. Were that technology pushed, the Romulans could have had the potential to snipe at targets on Earth. From Romulus.
Even though a lot was cutted out from the fight i CAN tell this fight was truely about skills and that makes the win so MUCH more deserved. Well done. ☺👍
The Romulans follow the strategy of sneak in, hit first and hit hard. Since they don't use that plasma weapon anymore I'd say it would do very little against the 24th century or beyond shields.
Enterprise D hit by a Romulan deathball thingy would make redshirts jump over the chairs and deploy rocks. I feel like it should take more than 2 to kill a Galaxy but not a lot more and I expect a TNG era ship could dodge the ball or outrun it.
That design is actually quite under powered. Those big phasers on the pylons at the top are "mega phasers." They fire at a rate of 10 pulses a minute. But every pulse is a photon torpedo worth of punch. They are powerhogs tho, your fuel supply can go down fast firing those in a sustained fight. That's how the reliant was able to actually break the enterprise's hull with her first salvo. The regular type 7 turrets both ships were equipped couldn't do that much damage.
Got that from trek wars' video about said 'wunderwaffe', yeah? Nice to see someone who watched that video, the numbers on the power transfer is nuts. In my headcanon, SF would've fixed the issues stated on that video by the time the sovereign class became a norm, the warp cores on those ships can provide enough power for a much more sustained engagement. I mean the protostar literally had two warp cores just not the same type as those used by the sovereign or the defiant.
Hey buddy I recently bought BC from GOG, I have the remastered pack installed. Can you point me in the direction of the star wars star destroyers and rebel fleet mods I’ve seen in some of your other vids?
The whole next gen. Vs romulan bird of pray idea gives me an idea that u should do an episode called the great torpedo experiment i recommend using a galaxy class
"If we get whacked by one of those, we're in big.......GOSH!!!!!" Your timing on comedy-bits is perfect 😝
Haha it is

I like how it's a TOS Enterprise bridge crewed by Klingons.
would love to see how the galaxy and sovereign class would take the plasma torpedos
2:50 it would be disastrous! They couldn't shake the cameras hard enough!

Heard the first plasma torpedo shot at least 4 seconds before impact.

Daddy like this class of ship.
Plasma torpedo mayhem! Nice battle.
that looks so janky. lov that they don't even bother with the the complete rollbar.
Oh, you have to see some of the other...interesting designs that are in BC...😅
@@MSR-1701 The USS Yeager needs to be on this show!
this ship looks so damn cool I would be proud to command a vessel of that class
Me watching at 1:40 "....uh oh....has he seen that coming?..."
Even though a lot was cutted out from the fight i CAN tell this fight was truely about skills and that makes the win so MUCH more deserved. Well done. ☺👍
The rollbar may come from the Miranda but the rest of this design comes from NCC-1751 USS Kirov and NCC 1755 USS New Jersey.
Nice!!! Never walk into a plasma torpedo! I wonder how a 24th or 25th century ship shields fair from that!

Hey Retro, has anyone created the Ares vessel from Axanar? That's a beauty from the TOS era.
Not that I have seen as-yet
Boom awesome
I really like the USS Aries it's a really cool looking Starship I wonder how many of these ships it would take 2 destroy a Romulan D'Deridex Warbird
Why weren't those crazy plasma torpedoes developed even more. I want to see the effectiveness of those torps against later century ships.
Those torpedoes seem too fast for TMP 😅 This is what the Currie class SHOULD have been.

Nice
looks better then the new enterprise from picard seasons 3
😍😍😍
Great Showcase!
Have you tried the Romulan Stormking?

@Ether Caster yes i did get it from there lol.
Do you think you could do the Proxima class in the future?
Hey buddy I recently bought BC from GOG, I have the remastered pack installed. Can you point me in the direction of the star wars star destroyers and rebel fleet mods I’ve seen in some of your other vids?
Kitbash class!
This ship dont crash the game when take damge or fire the torpedos or fire the super phasers?
The whole next gen. Vs romulan bird of pray idea gives me an idea that u should do an episode called the great torpedo experiment i recommend using a galaxy class
It's not a Miranda 1.5, it"s an updated refit of a Kirov battlecruiser.
What they have done to my poor Miranda?
😅 you haven't seen some of the more...interesting designs...
if you just spin in circles can you get a near perpetual amout of phaser fire
I prefer the phasor sounds from the tos era.
Try tactical warping as a plasma torpedo dodge.
So the neck goes through the shuttle bay?
That is not the Ares.
Correct, it is the Aries
Chuck this against fraisers ship
Kinda looks like a Connie and a Miranda had a malformed baby.
I'm giving up, I can't even get a response to the question of whether you're going to respond to my request for help or not.
What a weird design
That's one ugly ship. The original Miranda is a lovely ship, one of my favourites.
I think it looks horrible. A good thing Walter Jefferies isn't here to see this abomination.
Matilda was better
