Bladerunner 2049 is the single most visually stunning movie ever made in my opinion. The fact that it asks such profound and important questions about what it truly means to be human makes it one the most important films in modern times
The first one has been one of my favourite movies for decades, and sitting in the cinema I was absolutely shocked to discover that the sequel was not only almost as good as it, but one of the best movies I'd seen in years.
3:06 - brilliant movie making. Pure, raw emotion. Gosling is quite gifted. Complete and utter defeat in those eyes and facial expressions. Pure cinematic gold.
I had grave misgivings about the sequel and replacing Ford as the main character in such a classic film. By the end of the movie I felt that Gosling was the iconic blade runner (no disrespect to Ford).

@Snake_whisperer not at all, believe it or not, I'm very content but we can't rest on our laurels or we'll lose everything as a society. However, I'm very aware of the truth which most are not aware of, I guess you could be lonely to a point in that regard.
This song and character, this movie, shows exactly what so many of us feel these days. Many can disagree, although, it's clearer day after day how society is crumbling, the lack of life's true meaning, the lack of human real connections, the insane growth of loneliness, the culture degeneracy and the materialist hedonistic narcissistic propaganda, our generation is already living the dystopia. Going through some shit, made mistakes in the pass with a person I liked and it was better for her if I stayed away. This shit completely broke me as a human. I never cried so much as a cried today, it sounds silly but thank you bro. Thank you.
Don't say it sounds silly, we all suffer at some point in our lives. We all make mistakes and we should learn from it. If you think the best decision was to walk away from her, then there is no turning back. Try to take care of yourself, focus on new projects and don't think you can't do it alone. I know it is difficult to do everything I suggest at this moment, but take your time. I know you will make it. I will tell you something, I also suffered when I made this video, it only took me one night full of tears and memories. I didn't do it because I wanted views, I did it because I identified with the character, but I must admit that this movie changed my life. From that moment I stopped suffering for someone or for the mistakes I made, this movie inspired me too much, believe me I didn't know about editing. Days went by and I realized that my video had almost a hundred thousand views, then it increased until it reached a million. I received many comments and suggestions, I read each one of them, almost all the comments were good, after that I felt happy with myself because I had learned how to edit in HDR and Dolby Vision, with different professional programs. At the moment I can't deliver the highest quality of the original file because my graphic card can't edit Remux files, although very soon I will achieve it. What I'm trying to tell you is that you should bring out the best in yourself when you are devastated or down, that's when we become stronger. I hope you can feel good about yourself again, remember family is the most important thing in this life. People we know come and go, but family is forever. Greetings from Peru.
When this movie came out, we simply couldn’t fathom the futuristic reality of it. Now, almost a decade later, we begin to join the puzzle of what a masterpiece this movie turn out to be!
The aesthetic of the cyberpunk type future is so hypnotic. It gives a vibe of the absence of religion, of belief, and just the ultimate goal of survival. And yet, these people have memories of a simpler time. Probably the era we are in right now. Things aren't great, but despite many technological advances, it hasn't boosted the morale of the people. We have the technology to bring us closer together, yet it's drawn us apart.
Blade Runner has a special destiny. Remember how the first film from Ridley Scott was received by the public and critics and what it became decades later. Blade Runner 2049, which did not meet with initial success in the same way, I am sure the same will happen - many years later it will become a cult film. In my opinion, this is our future. And it's scary.
I've seen this song applied to several videos like Lost in Translation. It's a beautifully haunting song that makes me so sad inside. It literally rips the soul out me as it always seems to be symbolic of some kind of love that can never be quite acheived. Ever have one of those dreams where it was total bliss and you were happy and than you wake up to this shitty world? I can't watch these videos enough, it makes my mind sad in a very happy way.
This's one of the best fan-made video mashups I've seen for BR 2049. Some nice use of inter-cut sound from the film, and appropriate cuts. (The zoom cut at 1:26 is very effective). Nice work.
So cool to see they made a movie about me but told through the perspective of a man living in a futuristic dystopian society made to reflect the everyday struggles of being human, finding purpose, and loving someone while also being the man you know everyone expects you to be.
Blade Runner is One of the Eeriest things to me, probably for many others as well. To think that Harrison Ford, and thus Rick Deckard, was 40 years old by 2019 - the time of the OG Blade Runner. My dad always reminded me of Harrison Ford. He was 38 in 2019.. pretty close. Then here we have 2049, then I realise that I'm gonna be 42 by then, both 2 years off Deckard's age in the OG. It's haunting, it chills me to the core, especially seeing where the world could go. Not only that, but coming to terms with the fact that I'm eventually gonna be as old as my parents, and their parents. It makes me feel... Outdated, even when I have yet to reach my prime.
If you want to come back to this one special moment 2049 and 2077 gave you in this one special moment in your life, you know, you will never experience again....
@@CassiusOvO It was the best decision you could have made. This video was the reason I got into editing. th-cam.com/users/shorts6rY0eRvWXA0?si=z_Ba8SVVPur8iQD6
Beautiful merging of music and film. Blade Runner 2049 makes me feel like ive left this planet almost like no other film can do,escaping my worries. Its brilliant visuals and Ryan Gosling blew my lights out. Many, many times i'll revisit it along with this edit thanks
The loss of Joi made me want to cry. Her last words were that she loved him. Was she just a machine? Was that all that was expected of her. What does a sentient machine say knowing that it will cease to be in a few milliseconds? Was it in her programming to spend that time looking to please her master one last time as she was made. Or did she actually experience that emotion?
The real question is what is the difference between Joi and a real human female from K's perspective. Joi was just as real as any human female. She even stalled enough to buy K some time. You see K later on staring at the Joi advertisement towards the end. Many take it as him accepting that Joi wasn't real. Though I ask again, if she was a real human female would it have changed anything? I don't think so at all. She still would have died when she did. He still would have been broken and alone afterwards. It's all just feelings towards physical objects. I ask you, what is love then? Without any religious backing to add importance to our time post expiration, I believe it is all just feelings towards physical objects. The loneliness everyone posts about is them not fully understanding that all of their feelings are just towards physical objects from a physical object in which none of it may matter post expiration depending on religious beliefs.
Your question is probably answered with the scene where she tells him to erase her from the house device and carry her solely on the emanator, and even after his warning of her possible destruction, she tells him that it would make her like a real girl. With that, you can clearly see that she was going against LOGIC unlike a simple program, and something like emotions were guiding her choices. She knew how important she was to him and was decided to sacrifice herself to be at his side as long as she could, since she was the only one at his side always, and that's what happened, she even hurried to confess what she felt for him, knowing that it would be her last chance to show she was really different and give him the feeling of really being loved, and you can see the only tears he drops on the movie after losing her.
A top tier movie, giving me more vibes about Tron Legacy, Interstellar, Equilibrium, Inception and these kinds of movies. Really shows how humans can evolve beyond imagination.
I hope there's a sequel and K is still alive, Ryan Gosling knocked the role out of the park. He made the movie so realistic along with the gritty Harrison Ford. I would love to see them pair up once more with Denis Villeneuve at the helm. The original Bladerunner, I had the privilege to go watch, also the original and reboot of Dune too. Denis's interpretation of both is just pure visionary genius.
This movie told it's story too well to need a sequel. You could argue the original did not need one but they did it so well with modern cinematography and increased budget that it justified itself. Anything after this would be just fan service. We don't need a sequel to a story that concluded in such a beautiful manner. Where would it even go without devolving into a senseless action movie or retreading old ground?
@@LightTrack-I doubt there will be a sequel because it didn't do well in the box office which is such a shame. I don't think a sequel would be solely fan service. I think they could explore the outer colonies and the difficulties surviving out there and the need for replicants there. We need more sci fi of this quality rather than big explosions, cgi and dialogue for dummies.
@@zyme4569 Maybe but it's a delicate universe. In both movies, it tackled the same subject from a different angle and managed to pull it off without devolving into a mindless futuristic action movie. There won't be a sequel most likely because it wasn't a massive success due to the nuance of the movie. But i think that's a good thing. Nothing can taint what these movies are.
Perfect cast in my opinion. Luv a beautifull and deadly enemy, Joy (no words for Ana de Armas). Joy making her nails while shooting missiles was awesome. Ana de Armas love scene with MAckinzie Davies was a surreal impossible scene. Different from the first Blade Runner but also awesome love scene. First movie had Vangellis soundtrack and the steel balls of an Android mandating intimacy from another female droid.
Ryan Gosling's diversity of character is underrated. First time I saw him was in Remember The Titans. He played a cheerful carefree cowboy. Then I saw him in a movie where he played the role of a Jewish kid who was also a skinhead. Crazy movie.

why this song and blade runner compilations makes me so fckin emotional, my eyes watering everytime listening to this man... 🥲
in an old house looking out the window while it’s raining. good chill vibe.
God, it`s so hard to be alone! Nobody talk with me, nobody hug me, nobody smile me! I am so sad.
At least you still got your family.
A shortcut to perfection misses out one important detail in life; living it.
One of our favourite movies, such a great song!! Congrats and best wishes from DiViNiUM 🌟
шедевр кинематографа ,снятый гением!
this is the first movie to make me cry in years, actually the first movie to make me ever feel actually sad and cry
When she said I LOVE yo... I felt it man deep shi*t through my soul

Beautifully expressed..hope you see this then n will be able to make some sense out of life u lived ..Peace Out Man !!
@@TijarsView , Will do.
Revel in your time. And cherish the time with your parents, while they are still young enough too to.
If you want to come back to this one special moment 2049 and 2077 gave you in this one special moment in your life, you know, you will never experience again....
I am so grateful I saw this movie at the cinema with my Dad and brother in law.
Holy shit, this is easily the best 2049 edit I've ever seen... great stuff!.
This song and video is the reason i watched this movie earlier today. I enjoyed it
@@CassiusOvO It was the best decision you could have made.
This video was the reason I got into editing.

I could feel the loneliness in his face through the entire movie.

Beautiful merging of music and film. Blade Runner 2049 makes me feel like ive left this planet almost like no other film can do,escaping my worries. Its brilliant visuals and Ryan Gosling blew my lights out.
Many, many times i'll revisit it along with this edit thanks
Totally agree!!!

I didn't know I needed this. Well done
Но ведь она только добавила ему страданий. Она поступила именно эмоционально.
I didn't really want to finish the movie after she got destroyed and ended up hating every part that came after it
The real question is what is the difference between Joi and a real human female from K's perspective.
I think Joi actually loved him.
This movie is a Cyberpunk Masterpiece. A respectful sequel to the first ICONIC movie, Blade Runner. Well done.
A top tier movie, giving me more vibes about Tron Legacy, Interstellar, Equilibrium, Inception and these kinds of movies. Really shows how humans can evolve beyond imagination.
no way i find another Tron Legacy fan... 😁
@@NostalgiaPS1 always a Tron fan. Was my ever first movie I started with after adapting the cultures of evolutionary changes.🤠
@@vickramaugustine9030it had such an ethereal vibe to it. Always loved it, kinda got on the hate bandwagon for a bit tho 😅😂
Bro just casually starts naming my favorite movies lol! Go ahead and toss Inception in there as well 💯
@@trippytrey3024 Okay then. Inception
What a brilliant cinematography of this movie!
I enjoyed every second of it, thank you
Uffff I’m in 🖤with this song
@@LightTrack- well apparently they are gonna do a TV series which could work if done properly
@@LightTrack- fully agree 100%
Perfect cast in my opinion. Luv a beautifull and deadly enemy, Joy (no words for Ana de Armas).
Joy making her nails while shooting missiles was awesome.
Ana de Armas love scene with MAckinzie Davies was a surreal impossible scene. Different from the first Blade Runner but also awesome love scene. First movie had Vangellis soundtrack and the steel balls of an Android mandating intimacy from another female droid.
Amo tanto la película como la canción!
Omg i havnt seen the movie but this is exactly what i wanted. Modern and classic in one song.
It's worth seeing, especially if you loved the first one, which is highly recommended!
The future of humanity is shine, building a word amazing. It makes me very excited to imagine the future
Very, very good. I don't know if it can replace Jennifer Connelly but this is so well made. Well done.
Connelly has a *UNI-BROW.*
Ryan Gosling's diversity of character is underrated. First time I saw him was in Remember The Titans. He played a cheerful carefree cowboy. Then I saw him in a movie where he played the role of a Jewish kid who was also a skinhead. Crazy movie.
After Dark and Blade Runner 2049 🖤
This video perfectly captures the gritty, neon-lit atmosphere of cyberpunk 💜
The best song I've ever heard.
