Is Sakura really for real? After holding him hostage she expects Ryuya not to hate her. The fact that she cried and used a generic boring excuse for her actions and thought her actions were for the better. And I’m not surprised Ryuya liked her. He developed Stockholm Syndrome and the fact that he just let it go like it was nothing was not ok. Also can someone explain to me why these deres are mostly associated with females. I’m not trying to say I want to see male dere archetypes but I want to know why
I am not sure why the deres are mostly used for females. I know they can be used for males, but stereotypically are used for females. The first time I heard of a dere was tsundere in like 2012 from a game called disgaea 4 a promise unforgotten for the ps3. It was used by a female to describe a male who was not honest in that case. I even remember what chapter it was in. Chapter 8 the one where they go to the human world.
Imagine if their roles are reversed, most of us viewers will think that Ryuya became an antagonist instead and as story goes that he'll ended up in jail. Welcome to double standards 🤦♂️

Also, to be honest, she would have some very valid information on the boy, including his long list of truancy, so she could argue that she was trying to care about his education, and if she also threw in the fact that his parents lost someone that they had cared about because they were tricked by that classmate, and that she didn't want to lose him the same way, so, if he tried to play that card, then she could probably play those cards and easily beat his claim on just that alone. She could also point out the fact that he was being harassed by other students, and that she was also protecting him from them by keeping her close to him as well.
