If this game launched with perfect performance, there is no doubt it would have made a nomination for game of the year. BG3 would still easily win. But it would have been nominated at least.
If that was the case Elden Ring wouldnt have won the year it did. Elden Ring isn't as bad performance wise but it was hardly great in that department. Performance is a factor in GoTY for awards but a minor one.
The game of the year titles are completely stupid, a lot of people vastly prefer first person shooters over RPG or strategy, so BG3 can never be GOTY for them, gaming is extremely subjective just like art. What is the best wall hanging picture of 2023? :P
@@Battleneter Absolutely this. I'd consider myself more of an action gamer. I did 4 100% Spider-man 2 playthroughs, beat it on the ultimate difficulty which was tough and loved every minute of it. I tried Baldur's Gate 3 on my ps5, but it just lacked the action which I love. This year was great too. Spider-man 2 is my goty, but there was also Dead Space Remake, Final Fantasy 16, Horizon Forbidden West Burning Shores dlc, Resident Evil 4 Remake, Hogwarts Legacy, Ghost Runner 2, Remnant 2, Lies of P and Lords of the Fallen. I had way too much fun in 2023. 😁😁😁
What a monkeys paw wish. We wanted them to go back to making good single player games again, but now the single player games have horrible performance issues
If you're buying this game on steam, the first thing you see is an orange text saying it has "varied" reviews. If you care about your money at all, you know those are bad news, and I suppose your average buyer will at least read what the negative fuss is all about. There's no way the sales aren't negatively impacted by that. It's no longer just some obscure negative review in the darker corners of the internet.
I played Fallen Order on PC. Yea, it had stutter but it wasn’t nearly as bad as Survivor, primarily because of that large open world map. Speaking of open world, I’m tired of seeing all games go towards some iteration of an open world sandbox mode. Survivor absolutely did not need it.
This is why I don't pay full price for newly released games. I'd be so angry if I had shelled out €60 for this and it _still_ performed so poorly on my PC.
It wouldn't even matter if you paid $1 for this. It's not worth the drive space for it to run this poorly and to be squandering this much effort put in by the artists and gameplay designers. This goes beyond voting with your wallet. These people are basically saying "buy it,don't buy it, we got money regardless." Voting with your wallet no longer works and in this case class action law suits are probably the only way forward. Fuck this racket. The best games of this year didn't even come from AAA publishers.
@@vugolol never bought it. cuz these horrible performance everyones talking about..and yes it still have it on game pass. absolut bad performance even with a 4090
@@karisto6935 Don't ever bother playing it, I finished the game, the story is worse than the first (as if it couldn't get worse after that ending) and they made Darth Vader look weaker than he is (literal opposite of what happened in the first game) and the ending is incredibly rushed with a twist that makes no sense whatsoever.
I _loved_ the first one, Fallen Order, and was prepared to pick this one up asap, but held off because when it comes to any game, especially a PC one these days, the odds of a game being a technical disaster or disappointment are exceedingly high (in terms of being remotely acceptable with how often it occurs). I guess I should be happy I didn't waste the money, even though the game itself seems just as good as it should be.
The only PC game I bought this year on release was Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and was pleasantly surprised as to how well it ran right out of the box. I did run across a bugged quest about 4-5 hours in but I just started over again and the second time it worked without issue ..... and then 2 days later they released a patch that fixed it which for Ubisoft is also unusual because usually they have the Day One patch and you don't see another for 5-6 weeks
Still holding off, meanwhile Lords of the Fallen, released like crap, now running at 164FPS average on uktra, CERO stutters, CERO crashes. If a small polish company can patch their shit, how the F cannot Jedi Survivor?
do you think in a 55% sale worth it? I think like you about not waste money... but with a promo like that, i am wondering if maybe this could be worth it
@@jonmv Probably, since it doesn't look like they're gonna put more R&D into fixing the game's issues after this much time has passed, The Steam Community page and pcgamingwiki will probably have you covered for any remaining issues. I do feel bad that I love the gameplay and story so much I bought it anyway. Yes, it stutters and has major frame rate problems on Koboh but I still enjoy it. However, it does make me feel like I'm in an abusive relationship though.
It's still a mess on PS5 as well. From the inside of the cantina sometimes not loading in, to characters T-posing when traveling to other planets, the hyper space traveling animation doesn't always work and in the tombs when turning the camera there's white boxes that pops up around the edges of the screen before the environment loads in properly. I've learned my lesson after Jedi Survivor and Immortals of Aveum, not to preorder games by EA anymore. I will wait to see if there is issues first. At least the Dead Space remake turned out fantastic this year though.
@@mindrover777I can't even joke. It's fucking borderline fraudulent. "Buy our cool new Star wars game, we promise it'll be in the best shape possible on PC." Imagine being "bottlenecked" in a singleplayer game with like 5 enemies at once on the screen. That is insane. I have never seen a worse triple a game perfomance, besides 2077. But Cyberpunk got fixed and looks three times better. Mind boggling.
Can we Sue game Devs for not releasing finished products? How would you feel if you bought an half done iPhone or half done prebuilt PC etc? There has to be Consumer laws on this kind of thing.
@@mindrover777 most modern terms and conditions make you sign an arbitration agreement, which limits your ability to sue in a normal court. Terms and conditions aren’t a bad idea in concept but in practice they’ve just been a way for companies to sneak stuff past the consumer that prevents the company for getting in trouble when it deserves it. For example when I was in college I had an arbitration clause written at the top of my ACT, as well as an NDA for sharing test answers The agreements do not stop people from forming a class action lawsuit but class actions require cooperation among many people and are quite costly, so they usually end with a settlement from the company.
We really really need to stop expecting developers to fix their game post launch. They have 0 obligations to. Its a gesture of good will. If we continue to purchase this way then gaming companies will continue to take advantange of the fact people are willing to buy now to hope for a complete/fixed product later.
YES finally someone said it im so sick of this hivemind behaviour of people buying unfinished games and being dissapointed knowing that they're apart of the problem
@rahulgomes6488 Lmao people aren't trying to buy unfinished games they just want a good game and get this bs. How you can blame the player base is beyond me.
Just drink a load of beer before playing, that will smooth out performance problems in any game....and make it more fun, in fact being wasted makes everything more fun and bearable
This is reason why i stopped buying games on day 1. Because its release first and fix it later mentality... I'll wait a year or 2 until I make the purchase.
I held off on buying it, because of the stutters I was getting in the first game. I'm kinda glad that I didn't buy it when all the complaints came rolling in. I'm also kinda sad because story/gameplay, it's probably decent like the first game. I'd buy it now if all the stutters where fixed, however I now doubt that will ever happen. Maybe it'll eventually try it out, if it's ever free on Epic or Amazon Prime or in a sale for under £7, otherwise I'll just pass.
Forget smoothness, worst part of the game for me is how it doesn't render at 100%. I play on a 21:9 widescreen so Jedi Survivor always looks blurry or watery.
@@wizardd Can you point me in the direction to fix this (link or site name is fine)....I am quite close to uninstalling the game and coming back to it if it is ever fixed
This was the exact same problem Jedi: Fallen Order had. When I first played the game, I was running on HDDs, so I could attribute the stuttering to that. But last year I tried running it on rigs with well above the recommended specs, and it still stutters. Not as badly as my first playthrough, but it's always there.
I recently played jedi fallen order as well it definitely had issued and I was playing it on literally the best Gaming PC money can buy. It wasn't great but it wasn't anywhere near as bad at Survivor which half the time freezes during launch and crashes constantly. I thought it was my overclock at first but after turning off PBO, XMP, and MSI Afterburner it still had massive issues, and the Crashes are especially annoying in a game where you can only save your progress at specific locations. I Tried every setting in Nvidia Control Panel and in game, Fresh driver installs, fresh windows installs, everything I could think of and this game still ran like dogshit.
Yep, still a disaster. Just bought it on Epic with the 33% discount, but it's a total mess. I downloaded a 100% save game and went on Koboh to test it, my specs are: i5-12400 32gb RAM 3070ti 1TB SSD G-sync monitor I have tried with some of the Stutter "fix" mod on nexus, but they barely reduced the problem. The only way I got to play it """"Decently""""" was to install the FSR3 mod while I had G-sync and V-sync forced on in the control panel. With FSR3 mod I was able to reduce the number of 1% lows, but it was still very unstable and had bad FG artifacts... This game has another big problem: due to the bad TAA implementation there are ghosting artifacts around the character when you move the camera. If you have a rtx card you can remove them by swapping DLSS.dll file with the newer 3.5.10 version and turn on dlss, but it shouldn't be on our end to fix their broken aa.. After all the test I did I decided to refund it, not worth a penny It's crazy that these games are allowed to launch and sold to us. In my opinion EA/Respawn should be reported as fraud and the game should be removed from the stores till it's fixed, like it happened with arkham knight
All valid points...but i just came to a different conclusion, because the game itself is a borderline masterpiece. Right until the end credits, I was blown away. I powered through it at launch using puredark's DLSS 3 mod
Just started the game with gamepass, I have 16:10 monitor, ui in save menu and some others are not fitting the screen, but pause menu is normal. This issue was known since release but it's still there.
I intended to play this on PC but held off due to your and other reviews. I ended up getting it on PS5, and even though they've fixed a lot of the performance, there are other issues. I hit a game breaking bug where a particular cut scene wouldn't trigger, and I couldn't progress the game. I stepped away out of frustration, and tried again after a couple of days and it worked, but I wasted hours trying to google for solutions. Great game. Many problems.
lies of p runs at 140 fps on my 3070 with ultra settings 1440p and it looks incredible, the game is COMPLETELY GOOD on 30 fps because the game is stable and smooth enough, The finals also has destruction physics and 120 fps Its not the engine, its the devs
Did patch 8 released on January 11th improve anything? Patch notes say "This patch also incorporates some fixes for performance and stability across all platforms."

The game also doesn’t function properly on 16:10 displays, despite having the options in the settings. If you select any 16:10 resolution the game looks fine, but menus and UI elements stretch off the screen. So if you try to fix it by choosing a 16:9 resolution, the game stays in 16:10 but is squeezed. So without external fixes like Special K, players with 16:10 screens are just SOL. This was actually brought up on the EA forums, and the “Accepted Solution” is no solution at all, just the community manager saying “huh, guess it isn’t supported lol” then saying (nearly a year ago) that feedback will be passed on to the team. After further criticism at the nothing response, they try to redefine the word “solution”, classic EA. This still isn’t fixed.

YES. Thank you for staying on them. They still haven't fixed a game I bought at full price. It's theft. Imagine selling a scratched bluray that skips every 10 seconds. Shameful.
Meanwhile, Baldur's Gate 3 runs at less than half the target frame rate for the largest & final act of the game (in PERFORMANCE MODE) on consoles... "Will It Ever Be Fixed?" - Probably not possible, yet we're cool with it because it's BG3.
I play in fidelity mode (I dont see the point of 60fps on a turn based rpg) on PS5 and had no frame drops. I might be lucky. Texture streaming is atrocious though
The thing is BG3 is not an action game, so, while performance issues are unacceptable and annoying, the player's control isn't affected as much as it would in an action game.
I would really like to know what's the reason behind this. Very experienced team with massive budget and one the latest versions of UE4 and yet it's like this...
What's annoying is that Jedi Survivor is actually a very good game! It's such a shame that it still runs like crap on PC. I have RTX 3080 and regardless of the settings, the game stutters almost constantly, especially on Koboh.
The screen tearing in this game is horrible, I haven't seen screen tearing this bad or in general since the PS3/Xbox 360 generation. EA dropped the ball both Jedi Survivor and Dead Space Remake performance on all platforms. Thankfully I got Jedi Survivors cheap at $35 and Dead Space Remake dirt cheap at $15.

I got the game a few weeks ago during a 50 percent off sale for $35. I have a 3080 RTX graphics card and I'm NOT impressed with the way the game handles with an average framerate of 30-60 fps. Disappointed.
In my 1st playthrough I haven't faced a single issue, the stuttering happened on my ng+ playthrough (my 2nd), in the beginning there was no problem, but when zee got captured and I decided to go to the lucrehalk my fps started dropping to 5-15 fps and my gpu usage dropped to 20% and then went up to 100% then dropped to 5% . I'm really upset since I'm a really big fan of the game, though the poor optimization had me stop playing it. One thing to mention is that this issue happened after I updated my gpu driver, but I downgraded my driver yet the issue remained. I've tried the ReSize bar fix, turning off XMP, downloading the performance mod, setting my framelimit to 60 (though it won't make a difference since my monitor is 60 fps), and attempting to lower my settings (but the stuttering remained). I will say this again, I really loved this game and had it in my Top 5 list, but EA is always an expert in ruining what you love.
I am trying to play Survivor on Steam for the first time (11/7/24) . It is crashing and freezing and keeps going to color bling mode. I have tried every single fix and retried the opening walk to the Senator so many times that my two hour return window has past. If you didn't like Skyrim's slow opening, try doing this one over and over and over hoping the next fix will do it.
I’ve wanted to buy this game on PS5 for the past year, but I just can’t bring myself to do it knowing all the technical issues it has. I’m sure I’ll finally pull the trigger once it’s dirt cheap.
I thought Unreal Engine 4 was the problem but the fact that Lies of P looks that good and runs extremely well even on a N64 proves that these devs are just lazy AF...
I didn't notice any issues when I first launched this game back in September but since I returned to it last week I've had so many crashes - especially in that town on Koboh that you show footage from, and get that weird stuttering when turning the corner, which seemed to overflow at some point to just make the game crash 10+ times over the span of 3 hours, losing me 30-45 mins of progress at one point (because I was doing things with plenty of stims available and item collection chores). It's annoying that EA/Respawn don't take more pride in their product, since it's also a pretty good game otherwise.
You still had all of the issues. The lads at DF have top tier computers and they presented the major and insane stuttering/frame time spike issues the game had, well has. Yours is another case of simply being uncapable of noticing them, which just baffles me. Even without a framerate counter, the crazy hitching can still be notice easily.
@@snchez2106 you presume that everybody has the same issues at all times. Could also be because I hadnt gotten very far into the game when I took a break to play another game and didnt roam around Koboh at that point.
I'm enjoying the game, but I installed mods to fix all the potential issues and avoid a blurry image because of the bad AA (it was a very popular mod, so I just added it using a manager) and I'm using Frame Generation, on top of that, with a 120 fps cap to have a smooth frametime. No stutters, no crashes, no nothing. I was like "nice, it looks like they fixed the game. This is perfect". No, I was wrong. I "turned off" some mods to test how bad the game was, and then I met the intro for the first time (I was using a mod to skip it), experienced the stutters, instantly realised the image was extremely blurry (I maxed out all the settings, with RT on, because I'm using a 4080 to play at 1080p), and the game crashed after around 15 minutes. Keep in mind the GPU and CPU load wasn't that high because of the cap I was using. I can't believe mods are still a must after waiting for so many months to try the game. I got it when it came out, and I forgot to ask for a refund after watching your video about the port, and I can't tell if I was lucky or unlucky. I didn't lose money, because altho I got it full priced, I'm from Argentina, and they started using USD instead of pesos after I got the game, so the current 50% discount price is higher than what the full price was back when I got the game. I still feel bad for supporting a port that was, and still is, this bad. No game should require mods to run well.
April 26, 2024. The game is now on gamepass, after almost an year after release. I just downloaded the game which I wanted to play so bad, and guess what, isn't fixed. Even playing on a ryzen 9 5900x, 32gb ram and a rtx 3070, doesn't matter what preset I choose, the game stutterers like hell. There's no way to enjoy the game like that.

Huge lesson and example to stop throwing money at devs like idiots and buying games day 1 only due to hype and ignoring the fact that PC gaming is always prone to major technical issues. But this will keep happening because people don't care or never learn, which is very sad.
i played the original jedi game after getting it on sale for i think it was 8.99$, and after that experience i was so hyped for survivor. luckily i learned my lesson with cyberpunk. maybe ill get survivor for 8 bucks one day.
Survivor is an infinitely worse port than Cyberpunk which barely had performance issue on launch on PC. It was plagued by bugs for some people becase even those weren't universal, but performance was pretty stable just very demanding. This runs like garbage on every PC there is, and they abandoned the game much sooner than CDPR did, there's no comparing them.
I've literally been waiting so long for the pc version to get drastically fixed, but here we are with steam users still saying the game runs bad. Not even the sales for this game makes me want to get it like this and it is frustrating since I know it's a good game
try it now, with the 24h2 or the 23h2 backport , two ue4 games now have no stutter, jedi and callisto so far, dont have many ue4 games , on a 5600g and arc a750. didnt gain any fps , but my system is manually tuned.
So I personally had a lot of issues with constant crashing. I would get a message saying: “Out of video memory trying to allocate a rendering resource… try lowering your resolution…” blah blah. I have a 7900 XT 20Gb with a 7800x3d and 32Gb of DDR5 Ram, and I’m only running 1440 p on my monitor. The fact that even despite all that I was pretty much locked from progressing past coruscant because of the constant crashing. I would be able to get 5-10 minutes of playtime max.
I know people will just say "Vote with your wallet" but these companies are fine becAuse they own such recognizable IPs. I get it optimizing is hard. But maybe of they didnt downsize their QA actually listened to them maybe this couldve been caught before going live. This goes beyond optimization, theyre not eve doing playtesting and it shows. So fine we vote with our wallets and then what, "buy the game maybe we fix it maybe we dont" thats a complete experience people who toiled away to create will go ignored because now the devs have to play catchup to get the game to an ideal state rather than making sure their game scales well appropriately for the hardware. At this point AAA needs to crash. All the extra money grubbing with none of the quality control to back up their prices. This is why people are saying gaming sucked in 2023.
Its so frustrating that these are 2 great Star Wars games and should be getting praised, but instead they will be remembered as games plauged by issues which never get fully resolved

@just_a_gamer3420 It's not our hardware. The PC port for this game is just atrocious. It's horribly optimized. The only thing that worked for me was downgrading the quality. Instead of running it on Epic, I set everything to High instead, and it seemed to do the trick. You're still going to have some issues on Koboh with dropping frames here and there no matter what IMO.
It sucks cuz I was able to find a sweet middleground for playing Survivor, but I cant find ANY settings besides setting everything below medium to play the ubisoft Avatar game with performance that doesnt make it awful to just move around. 3080TI and 5900x I should be able to play on high/medium at 1440p with DLSS on. Thankfully that has a really good console port.
So this is a Unreal Engine game if i heard correctly? I also tried Hell let Loose and its also UE and it runs terrible. Maybe its the engine that isn‘t good? Or are there examples of good UE games and if they needed tricks to run smoothly? Maybe UE is bad out of the box?
My number one issue on PC was honestly image quality. The FSR implementation just RUINED the image to an absurd degree. And with the performance issues turning it off wasn't much of an option if you wanted ray tracing. Turning RT and FSR off improved the game MASSIVELY for me and I ended up really liking it. But the technical issues were still not okay.
I was playing right now but had to give up cuz the stutter and the fps drops were horrendous, my Cal also got stuck in a level without the elevator and I just uninstalled it.
I've yet to try to manually turn off the Ray Tracing in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor since the Steam updates somehow failed to mention it to make it past Koboh after the first mission on Coruscant. If that stops endlessly constant freezes from preventing the entire progress of the game it would be utterly priceless compared to overall slower than normal gaming movements as a whole. What pissed me off the most about the stuttering was when the overall gaming movements stopped for a few seconds as I remember clearly happening occasionally to me in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
there really should be a class action lawsuit against EA for both Dead Space Remake and Jedi: Survivor. they dont run well whatsoever and were abandoned while being effectively a defective product being billed as a polished release on both counts

I recently finished Jedi Survivor on PC, but even without the garbage coding it has, it is not that great of a game imo...
Spiderman 2 is also broken with a lot of glitches and was also nominated and didn't win. This game's story is good but not GOTY material.
Respawn entertainment is a good example of just because they make good games doesn’t mean they’re good devs
Unreal Engine for ya!
titanfall 2 was incredibly well optimized. It was using a heavily modified source2 engine. They are competent devs, it's just ue4 kind of sucks.
Well they didn't fix Fallen Order either and they were rewarded with huge sales for the sequel, so why should they change now
What a monkeys paw wish.
What?
I just finished Fallen Order on ps5 and it ran great . I never spotted one problem ,
@@Crashed131963 they mean on pc
Now on gamepass and still not fixed lmao

It's MUCH better than Fallen Order, and the performance of the game is great as long as you disable Ray Tracing. It's an awesome game.
do you think in a 55% sale worth it?
I think like you about not waste money... but with a promo like that, i am wondering if maybe this could be worth it
@@jonmv Probably, since it doesn't look like they're gonna put more R&D into fixing the game's issues after this much time has passed, The Steam Community page and pcgamingwiki will probably have you covered for any remaining issues. They got the money already, so no.
They should if they want to keep selling games in the future. But yeah, its just depressing.
@@Valshiirs Nah, a couple of trailers and the by now AAA-standard post launch apology is usually good enough. Now that's depressing.
Everyone should stop buying EA games and just let EA slowly fade away.
Ea has a lot of good games I'm not a fun but I really enjoyed some of their titles
Wrong year to do this. EA games have been good. Besides they're the publisher. Respawn developed the game.

I'm glad you guys are ripping this guano that if fixed would actually be a great game. Hopefully, EA allows Respawn to fix this.
This is definitely a good and needed series.
That's ridiculous. What are these devs doing
EA teach that lesson years ago, tho

Can we Sue game Devs for not releasing finished products? How would you feel if you bought an half done iPhone or half done prebuilt PC etc? There has to be Consumer laws on this kind of thing.
If only many major new games didn’t require you to agree to a terms and conditions agreement before being able to play the game
@@KizaruB 😮💨
@@KizaruBreally? What does it say exactly? Any idea
For example when I was in college I had an arbitration clause written at the top of my ACT, as well as an NDA for sharing test answers
The agreements do not stop people from forming a class action lawsuit but class actions require cooperation among many people and are quite costly, so they usually end with a settlement from the company.
We really really need to stop expecting developers to fix their game post launch. They have 0 obligations to. Its a gesture of good will. If we continue to purchase this way then gaming companies will continue to take advantange of the fact people are willing to buy now to hope for a complete/fixed product later.

Playing now on PS5. The only bug so far has been where things turn black and you can look through everything, it happened once. Played about 15 hrs.

I have tried with some of the Stutter "fix" mod on nexus, but they barely reduced the problem.

Hi there. I was wondering if you're going to make an optimization guide for this game for the latest version
Stutter Wars: Judder Survivor

2024-06-23: Still a complete stuttering mess
Betteridge's law of headlines: Any headline that ends in a question mark can be answered by the word no.
I just downloaded the game which I wanted to play so bad, and guess what, isn't fixed. i played the original jedi game after getting it on sale for i think it was 8.99$, and after that experience i was so hyped for survivor.
luckily i learned my lesson with cyberpunk. maybe ill get survivor for 8 bucks one day.
I grabbed it for $23 on Epic. Close enough lol.
Just got it on GamePass for PC in W11. HDR is broken (or the settings don't seem to do anything) and it is still choppy. 5800x with a 3080 :/
I've literally been waiting so long for the pc version to get drastically fixed, but here we are with steam users still saying the game runs bad. Not even the sales for this game makes me want to get it like this and it is frustrating since I know it's a good game
Its so sad to see this. Its a great game but they have dropped the ball for so long fixing the performance issues.
07/24/2024: here is me tryna find a fix for the game issues 💀
Mine shuts off my whole PC in the first mission idk what to do
try it now, with the 24h2 or the 23h2 backport , two ue4 games now have no stutter, jedi and callisto so far, dont have many ue4 games , on a 5600g and arc a750. didnt gain any fps , but my system is manually tuned.
It's such a shame that the PC port is so bad, because it is an excellent game. Devs will not fix it, they no longer care.
I cant even play it crashes everytime man freezes n shit not responding.
Its so frustrating that these are 2 great Star Wars games and should be getting praised, but instead they will be remembered as games plauged by issues which never get fully resolved
rtx 4080 super
32gb ddr5 ram
7700x
still getting some annoying microstutters and sometimes dlss wont even increse my fps
I thought they fixed the performance issues for the perf. mode on consoles?
Works great on console here is proof th-cam.com/video/LH_HbgzUKBU/w-d-xo.html at 60fps (Skip to 9 min) Ray tracing is off but it's hard to tell the difference anyways .
I finished the game but did play couple boss fights in story mode, it was just too painful between camera, stutter
Have you guys tested patch 8 yet? I wonder if anything has improved....
I played just a few days ago and the game is still crap. Textures aren't loaded and the frame rate is inconsistent
No. This game will never truly be fixed.
I had 2060 at the time and literally 0 issues with Fallen Order. But this game... it even recompiles shaders on every launch. Changing visual settings does not affect the graphics themselves and it runs on 30-40 fps... (3070, 32gb ram, Ryzen5600)
Fallen Order has shader comp stutter. Congrats on not seeing it.
@@Phil_529 This game even crashed my pc in a scene on the desert planet with the "boss". It caused significant power consumption spike (i guess) which instantly turned off my pc. Had to cap fps to 24 (30 fps still caused crashes) since i could not even change graphics settings since the game just ignored my settings. My experience with Fallen Order was WAY better Dx
The weird thing for me and my personal rig, the problems don't start until after it has ran for several hours. Even when on the planet Kobah/Koboh. After it starts though, ooof, bad stutters. Flickering screen, etc. When I go back the next day to play, same thing. It's actually mind blowing why it only starts messing up after playing for a while for me. i914900k and 4080 Super
Same thing happens to me on a 4090 I play for a while then it starts to stutter
Anyone know how to fix crashes? I crash every 30 minutes on my 7809xt
Only rason it's still in my library is that it was free for me, part of a promotion when I bought the CPU for my new rig.
How is the console versions?
I got it on a high-end PC and it plays horrible. So, I downloaded on the XBSX and plays smooth with no stuttering
link to the full video broken?
So this is a Unreal Engine game if i heard correctly? I also tried Hell let Loose and its also UE and it runs terrible. Maybe its the engine that isn‘t good? Or are there examples of good UE games and if they needed tricks to run smoothly? Maybe UE is bad out of the box?
Add the new Lords to the fallen to that list, absolute clusterfuck bad performance
I was playing right now but had to give up cuz the stutter and the fps drops were horrendous, my Cal also got stuck in a level without the elevator and I just uninstalled it.
good decision
07-17-2024 it shut off my pc and it now wont turn on its done this every time i try to play it. No other game does this.
did you look at bluescreen report and see what caused it to shut down
Yea and it's no excuse why they couldn't have made the image quality better on console. It was a lazy effort.
The game feels bad half the time it boots if it stutters i just restart it but my stutters have been fixed using 16gbs of my ram as a cache for my ssd and fsr 3
Yeah its still a mess. Honestly broke my faith in respawn.
