Josh Brecheen is embarrassing himself and being disrespectful to service members. My father was a Canadian WW2 Veteran and fought Nazis in the European Campaign. We had a photo where my father and some of his buddies did a variety show for the men after peace was declared, I don’t remember which country they were in, and some of the show was done in drag. That Congressman Brecheen is so illiterate about the military, is mind-boggling.
If you don't like drag shows don't go. Stop trying to control everything.
They try to control everyone 'cause they think it's sexual which is very telling about them. Very disturbing.

No one batted an eye when Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon dressed up as women in Some Like it Hot. It was hilarious not obscene or frightening.

So I lived in Portland for 13 years and did drag there and hosted shows where we did comedy, live singing, acting bits, and celebrity impersonations and every year during fleet week we had sailors from all over the world dock in the city for a rest week and we had so many of them come to our shows. We never did anything sexual, or pornographic in any way and they had fun laughing with us and enjoying the show. We also made it a point that week that active duty service members also got drink and food at 1/4 normal cost as a way to thank them for their service so they could annoy a fun, cheap time with us in the bars. Also not to mention one of the biggest queens in Portland (Bolivia CarMichaels) is a retired air force member. We never did anything bad and we supported them the same way they supported us. Even had on guy come up to me one night after the show with total alpha bro energy and hug me and thank me for a great show and for the drinks I bought for all active duty members in the audience because being trapped on a boat with no other form of entertainment was getting to him and he openly thanked me for a fun night of laughs and live music

I don't know where these people are from, but I have pictures of my dad in drag in a comedy show in the 70s with a lot of his friends and other pics of my uncles in drag, male cousins in women's bathing suits, you name it. Why do US politicians, (GOP) feel the need to micromanage the US military.
Considering the US military hosted drag shows for the military members throughout WW2 it seems in line with military tradition. And more over Eisenhower would have probably watched them along side other service members. Republicans are culture war against military tradition is despicable.

Drag has been a source of comedy for decades . Look at Bob Hope , Milton Berle , Tony Curtis , Red Skelton , Jerry Lewis , Jack Lemon , Harvey Corman , the cast of "Robinhood Men in Tights" . These men used it as a source of comedy for everyone to enjoy , including our armed forces in tiimes of war . The Repubes have to just stop the hate that they are spreading .

Remember, Drag has been around for centuries! In the early days of theatre (Shakespeare’s time) women weren’t ALOWED on the stage, and for what reason? Why, you may ask? It was considered as immoral, by some, as drag is now. In military concert parties, again, you have a distinct lack of actual females. But the theatrical tradition of the Drag show continues! Even in films like Tootsie (Dustin Hoffman) and Mrs Doubtfire , (Robin Williams). And the reverse version, where boys are played by girls, such as the stage versions of Peter Pan where Peter is usually played by a girl (ok its because the leads voice won't break mid-run) Making everything about SEX says more about the minds of the republicans than it does about most, (and I will admit not all), Drag Queens. The few cases where it is about sex DON'T WORK WITH OR AROUND KIDS, and take steps to state that its NOT a family show.
GOP have no problem voting against any bills that would help our veterans out so its not surprising they would use the military for their political agenda.
Just look at our tax dollars, hard at work. This is what they waste their time on. How does this help any of us?!?

If they want to meet recruitment goals so bad then the GOP should start supporting the U.S. Military and U.S. military veterans through better facilities, better pay, better bonuses and better benefits & doing the same with the V.A.

I'm a mil vet. Our extended family is filled with retired and non retired vets. He was Destined to exact revenge for 9-11. He spent years in karate, firearms trained, football, two years ROTC. His junior year he dropped football and ROTC. I didn't fight hard to even get him to go back into the ROTC at least. I haven't considered much of it all since because of the moral Cesspool, racist DEI, drag queen recruiters, "social engineering" playground, gays openly prancing around, ugly dudes in dresses, abortion travel agency, that our Military has become...

A lot of military cultures that produced some the fiercest fighters and devastating armies routinely engaged in same sex relationships with other members of their forces, even if they were married.
