- Kristin Chenoweth at Bernstein On The Town singing parts of "Glitter" and "Lonely Town," and a little clip of "Easy Street" from Annie. This was on the old version of her Sony Classical Site. This was the first time I saw or heard her do this song, and I was pretty much floored! Enjoy!
No words can describe the talent Kristin Chenoweth has.
she does everything!! what a talented, beautiful, and perky person! I love her
She is beautiful - i would have to say this is the most gorgeous i have seen her.
Ahhh just another reminder why I love Kristin Chenoweth =P She's amazing... A brilliant and versatile voice + superb acting skills + charisma and personality + a 4 foot 11 inch frame = An entity that doesn't even come close to being as awesome as Kristin Chenoweth!
*obsessed...obsessed..*
it's fantastic how she belts that out!!
Wow! I love it when I find videos of Cheno I haven't seen yet. Thanks for adding this!!
She's amazing.
i love you kristin. and i love your high notes, well done. brava.
She blows my mind.
at 2:34, I don't even see her take a breath before singing the next section, but she did breath, she's just so amazing that she makes it look easy!
She rocks!!
It's nothing compared to seeing her do it live and 5 feet away from you in an informal dress rehearsal. She's truly amazing and proof that REAL singers don't need digital effects to make themselves sound good.
Well, I'm certainly an opera fan, but I've never gotten too tangled in the specifics of it. You're correct, but when I say "belt", I use it as slang.
Either way, Kristin Chenoweth colours my world fantastic :P
awesum i love that part.
Her high E at the end always blows me away! She's also versatile, kinda like Cheno. I have this CD of her (Only Love) singing showtunes and stuff like that. Have you heard anything from it?
i haven't been able to find it online...i know pbs runs it every so often and it is also on dvd...
oh man why is it shortened? -_- I'm so disapointed I couldn't watch the whole thing...when the lightenings stroke on the backgroung it was cooooool!! XD
I love Sumi, too! Have you heard her Bell Song?
k, I'll PM you the link in a bit ;D!
(Sorry that took so long, btw. I was reading the HP book ♥ )
yes that's true, and she can do this, but i prefer something else!
but i love her, and she did sing this song wonderfull!
yeah
Haha, thank you for prooving my point.
yay Cheno! Was this when she met Joshua Bell? I've heard they dated...
yes
Excuse me for not paying the utmost attention at the beginning to notice that it was outdoors.
Does anyone know if u can get the whole of this concert on DVD?? or at the very least CD?
Did anyone see that flash of lightning at 0:09??? I would have been scared if I had to sing outside when it was lightning!
haha, I don't know about that....probably a few, but she was trained for opera....
i mean..where can you watch that? any specific site?
If you want, I can upload it for you?
where??
where?????
I love chenoweth as well. But im not sure I would go that far. She has a wonderful voice for broadway, but when it comes to music like this, there are opera singers who would completely overpower her without even a microphone.
Who's conducting?
The first Cunegonde was NOT an operatic soprano (Barbara Cook) -- Chenoweth is actually closer to the originator of the role, vocally at least, than any opera singer who sings it (aka Jo, Dessay, Anderson).
She's doing it with a microphone :/
if you want to see an even better glitter and be gay...check out the great performances version of candide...it's still kristin chenoweth but it is even better
hey come on the hair is cool.
it's from PBS Great Performances...it has kristin chenoweth and patti lupone...very funny...but kristin brings the house down with glitter and be gay
During "Glitter and Be Gay"? Can YOU do that? :P
I don't mean to be rude, but all I'm saying is that she's one teeny thing singing with great vigour.
Kristen's Glitter and Be Gay is the funniest one I've ever seen, but opera singers like Sumi Jo and Natalie Dessay sing it better.
