Also! I really related to the feeling of „not doing more”. But it’s really good to be reminded that we all really make the most of this experience when we’re in it, even in hindsight it might not feel like it.
I finished at UEA back in 2018 when we still had in person exams and all that and had it not been for the fact that I went to see my boyfriend right after my final exam it would’ve felt very underwhelming too. There was no big get together or anything after our last lecture or after exams, dissertations were submitted only online so there was no sense of finality there either. For me it only hit at graduation (especially since I stayed in Norwich between end of studies and the ceremony) but I can really relate to what you’re saying about expecting something more when finishing a degree. I think a part of it is that UEA doesn’t have any specific post-exam or post-diss traditions like some other unis, so it all ends quietly.
Moving to UEA this year all the way from Manchester so on a little binge of UEA videos so absolutely love your channel!! Do you have any advice for someone who’s only been to Norwich a few times?! I am really excited :))
Hey, that’s so lovely to hear, thank you 😊 I’d say make sure to explore the lanes, elm hill & go beyond the city as Norwich is so close to the Norfolk Broads and the Coast!

Yes absolutely! It’s a bit of a shame really, but I’m hoping that the graduation ceremony will help :)
