Zo-oh Zabimaru stocks are rising to the sky with the reveal of new habilities: 1.- The tail can join with the snake head to work as a whip like his former Bankai, so all his training and work isnt lost. 2.- The blade in the snake head is retractil so he can hold on anything. 3.- The fur in the monkey arm has an ability similar to that of Sunwukon, allowing it to replicate in a smaller scale since it need more that just one hair. 4.- (This is more of a Renji feat) It can be summoned parcially (we still dont know if only the monkey arm or the snake too) maybe to preservate energy or, as in the fight, when he has low energy he can choose to just summon one of the "Two Kings" 5.- HE CAN STILL USE HIKOTSU TAIHOU (unpopular opinion best hability, is a fucking cero but from the head of a snake, and the hand now too) Buy Renji and Zabimaru stocks, now!!!
He also seems to be able to generate massive amounts of heat energy from his Bankai with a flame coming out of the fur shoulder as well as when he heated up his blade to melt buildings when trying to stab uryu with the extended snake head with the heat being seen glowing from the bone joints of the snake, and not to mention higa zekko
Ichigo and Renji don't count since they were not trying to kill him, which Uryu said himself. Although it's obvious Ichigo didn't go all out as he didn't use his bankai, what else could Renji have done if he tried to kill him lol.
@@dreamcaster143no idea why Uryu is getting hate and people don't want to give him credit. Antithesis is one of the most broken abilities in Bleach and he didn't use them against Ichigo and Renji. I know true bankai Ichigo is stronger but to act like Uryu has not been putting in work is crazy.
Man this episode was a 10/10 for me, everything from the start when Yhwach called out their names, to when Pernida's eye turned into the Quincy Cross, to the banter between Mayuri and Kenpachi and of course Renji vs Uryu, the animation was insane, also Renjis new Bankai abilities are wild!! Sadly he has become a member of the donut club...
Fr amazing. But idk is it just me or does the animation at the beginning ep looked weird or isi just lighting. Like when they r running or talking or even just standing still. Looks weird especially with the way the background is. I think I'm bugging but yh

My best guess for hañataro's role is going to be the one to save Renji and the others we saw go down. Unless Kubo wants to drop his bankai on someone like Gerard as a joke.
This was absolutely spectacular. The clash between Renji and Uryu definitely stole the show and perfectly showed their combat prowess. That final attack Uryu used was beautifully animated, all of it was.
The fact that this wasn't a "priority" episode and still went this insane only further excites me for the remaining episodes and cour 4. The art and animation continues to be impressive and all the exclusive content really helps show that Kubo still has plenty of creative ideas to push and that we're not getting just a true 1:1 manga to anime adapation.
I used to hate Soo Zabimaru for how all over the place it is in terms of its design and it lack of versatility but after this episode i take it back its awesome af ! I love how he can detach parts of his bankai like the Skull and spinal cored and use it in a similar way to his old bankai and even light it on fire or detach the fur on the arm to grow new arms. Kubo and the Studio cooked with this fight even though Renji lost .
This new Renji fight reminds me of a bloodborne trick weapons where you can switch it to different attack modes mid combo. The original fight with Mask just did not convey the versatility of Zabimaru quite as well.
The directing and animation seem to get better and better with each passing episode. That and even more anime additions. This time with Renji vs Uryuu. Kubo really doing as much as he can to give these two needed justice after they were completely sidelined for nearly the entire TYBW arc.
Not only them but Jugram should get just as much attention if not even more and it seems they're heading towards that direction as well, at least I hope they do.
6:57- I think the multiple arms is possibly one of the best additions Renji got because it removes one of his weaknesses as fighter- relying on an extending weapon that leaves him open if someone finds an opening now he can pin someone down without lifting a finger potentially. And since Bankai evolve with the user, the arms might eventually evolve into full monkey warriors to fight alongside him. The fight really shows how much Renji was holding back against Mask
he always can pin/bind oppents using his basic Shikai and even his fake bankai by having zabimaru be wrapped around his oppenents. Like how he binded As Nodt so Byakuya can attack As nodt on the face. The only difference now though is that his zanpakuto won't necessarily be broken if his oppenent was able to break free.
This one had the perfect mix of action and comedy, especially the Askin stuff 🤣 then Zaraki surprising Mayuri with them two going back and forth. Also Renji desperately needed that fight as well as Uryu it was epic seeing more of So-Oh Zabimaru's abilities plus Lille sniping off peeps like it's modern warfare damn not to mention Orihime running though 😮
It's a tiny moment, but we just gonna gloss over the fact that Grimmjow can just locally and partially access his ressurecione on a whim (when he turned his hands and just his hands into claws to bat away attacks)? Also, Uryu put in a lot of work proving that his Volstandig isn't just Senbonzakura: Blue Version.
Even if the lost, Renji as character comes out of improved from this part, a lot of new techniques and applications of his new bankai (I especially love how he used "the old version" for the final attack), he needed some extra scene. Needless to say that Uryu still was boosted more, crazy defensive's level with Blut Vene, some new broken techniques again, plus confirming what I said some weeks ago, that even against Ichigo that form was Vollstandig+Sklaverei (the only thing I don't understand is how he can subdue the reishis without the Heiligenschein, unless forget to put the halo is just an error of the studio). Lille sniping some fodders, Hanataro is finally here to save us, Ichigo vs Askin probably will be on screen, but I'm more surprised to get Baby Hold Your Hand before FRIEND, but since Mayuri-sama is one my favorites, that's good anyway.
Uryu's wings does the halo's job. This is because Uryu already unlocked Letz stil before gaining Voltstandig. And on Uryu's Letz stil form his "wings" is the conduit for Sklaverei. So his Volstandig inherited that making Uryu not needing a halo to do the sklaverie. It is also a good distinction on how Uryu is different from other sternritters.
I really do appreaciate how you go out of your way to find the names of people who works on individual episodes to give proper credit. As anime fans we always gush about incredible aniamtion when we see it, and rightly so. But it´s always nice when people with a bit of reach on their platform makes the extra effort to credit animators by name.
This confirms that we'll see more techniques from all the fights. For examples, Kisuke/ Yoruichi vs Askin, Kyoraku vs Lille Barro, even Ichigo vs Yhwach
How things can change. Prologue Renji cutting down Uryu mercilessly Hueco mundo Renji and Uryu fighting together to survive. TYBW Uryu shooting down Renji mercilessly.
The battle between Uryuu and Renji reminds me of the battle between Byakuya and Renji. In both instance, Renji had to fight against countless trajectories (feathers vs petals) with his newfound power (Hihio vs So-Oh) but is defeated once get trapped (Feder Zwinger vs Rikujou-Koro). It was exciting yet so nostalgic and I loved every second of it !

lille is the most dangerous of all the royal guards (yes gerard is dangerous but he is stupid in attitude) meanwhile lille barro is both intelligent and powerful. Respect to kubo for introducing another powerful black character after tosen and oetsu.
This episode was amazing.Uryu and Renjis fight was crazy they didn’t hold anything back ,Uryu’s Skalvei Rai on that ost was fire. Zaraki Mayuri and Askin were all hilarious this episode as well.
It was SOO AWESOME to see the Abilities of both Uryu Sklave Rai and Renji So-oh Zabimaru during their fight. Uryu looks really scary and so cold hearted 🥹
Crazy how Uryu went from being relatively around ichigos level when he was first introduced, defeating Myuri to become fodder essentially to now fighting and defeating Senjumaru, *Ichigo (didn't go all out) and *Renji (didn't go for the kill) . I really womder how he is going to flip back to ichigos side after almost killing all of them and not holding back.
I feel like people don't understand Uryu's plan at least in the manga. His plan really is supoosed to not even let him rejoin Ichigo's group. Since he is basically trying to die trying to kill Ywach by basically suicide bombing wahrwelt. Uryu's plan was to basically let Ichigo and the gang escape once he set up every devices to collapse warwehlt along with Ywach and the schutztaffel including Uryu himself.

Like, how did Uryu of all people (referencing him being level headed), believe that explosions would be enough to kill people who can each bend reality to their will? To say this was a good episode would be an understatement they did a great job with renji, renji looks cool in this episode they did a phenomenal job showing renji new abilities.
Only thing I disagree with is claiming Uryu was wrong about Renji not holding back. Not only is he smart but i feel like that line wouldnt of been said if it wasnt Kubo and the staffs intent. Plus Despite all of Renjis bluster he has always been noted to be similar to ichigo and I dont see him going all in to kill someone he did see as a friend even if it was subconsciously. This plays into to Uryus later comment in his fight with Jugram where he straight up mentions pride i calling Ichigo, Chad, orihime, rukia and Renji people he loves to be compared to and cherishes. Neither were going all out but they definitly both had more heart in tnis fight than Ichigo did
Yeah it's kind of How Goku has changed Vegeta in a sense Ichigo has changed Renji sure Renji and Vegeta are more savage and don't mind dealing more damage but both aren't the ruthless killer they once were even to traitors.
They're saving Uryu's true power vs Jugram just to show how strong Jugram truly is by low to mid diffing Uryu. Who knows, maybe Jugram would get even more roles to play as well. Kubo make völlstanding Jugram a reality 🙏
We might even see Uryu help Ichigo in the final fight. It was hinted at in the manga, but the manga Enron was so rushed they just had Uryu just pop in and fire the arrow. I am just glad that Uryu is now living up to his title of Ichigo’s rival. He is definitely up there in strength now.

Now tho I hope they'd fix Jugram's powerscaling by lining it with his narrative statements since according to the narrative he should be the 2nd strongest in the quincies and we already saw glimpes of that power both in the manga but also in the anime by demonstrating how unaffected Jugram is by Yhwach's reiatsu. Not to mention, Jugram is also a special quincy like Yhwach himself.

@@PrashasyaGautam It's actually a theory the commuinity were wondering for a long time now since we don't truly know in what sense Jugram is Yhwach's first born son as Lille was the first to ever receive a letter, so that makes the situation even more bizzare because if Jugram was recuited first and is the grandmaster of the sternritter then he should've been the one to recieve it first. But then again, Jugram can also use the all mighty when it's night which defines who is a "true quincy" as well. It's very likely that Jugram could be Yhwach's son.

Uryu nreally is getting the love in this version of the 1000 year blood war arc and i love it!!! Even Renji (despite losing) got quite abit of time to show off his new bankai powers!
I love the new Renji scenes. At least, if he had to lose, they made it worthwhile against the new and vastly improved Uryu with it being good to know Sōō Zabimaru retains enhanced versions of Hihio Zabimaru's techniques plus a few new techniques and Uryu needed his Vollstandig, his Schrift and a couple new techniques as well to win while Renji subconsciously held back to boot. Feder Zwinger (the new Uryu technique that extracts reiatsu from a victim) is German for Feather Kennel and it does fit thematically considering Renji is from the Hanging Dog district and has compared himself to a stray dog barking at the moon in the past ("I am really a tramp down to my bones. I hate myself. I bark at the moon, but I don't have the courage to jump and grab it." - Renji Abarai in "A STAR AND A STRAY DOG"). If I'm right on the translation then Uryu is an a**hole for putting Renji in a kennel.
Fedder Zwinger is kinda the like the one he used in the Hellverse movie against the reishii absorbing dude, Only that instead of the volstandig feathers he used seele schneider.
He used on cour2 when he swapped Ywach place and his fight against Senjumaru. Other than that, I doubt he's subtlety used his schrift. Moreover, if Uryu could hold his ground against true shikai Ichigo who I believe is very much stronger than bankai Renji, then I think there's no reason to use " schrift " on a slightly weaker opponent in Renji compared to the top tiers he's fought so far since genesis of TYBW arc.

Just to make something clear, the episode clearly stated, by Uryu, that Renji was holding back. He was not fighting with intent not kill. I think it’s important to point this out, and doesn’t weaken Renji’s growth. Renji has even more potential as a fighter to get stronger

The ending is played reversed in this episode maybe implyng that Uryu used his schrift to revert renji's wounds. W episode, i hope they dont rush the nemu mayuri fight to only 1 episode
I'm truly suprised by how much more impressive this fight is in terms of animation and camerawork compared to Uryu Vs Ichigo, which I'm sure we all thought would be THE priority episode 😂 Hopefully we'll get another Uryu Vs Ichigo fight and that it will be better than the first one!
I literally read the volume they adapted for this episode, I lowkey, but I was really expecting them to include Bazz-B and Haschwalth’s backstory and their fight, but now that the episode has come out, I’m honestly glad they decided to hold back on showing it just yet. I really like how they gave Renji and Ishida their own fight and time to shine. Personally, I think this is the best episode of cour 3 so far
I love how the Uryu vs Renji fight completely mirrored their team up fight against Szayelapporo and referenced their first encounter fight in the first arc of Bleach.
This episode cooked so hard for no reason. Lille trying to become everyone's favorite Quincy with that visceral sniping scene. Pernida making a Quincy cross with its eyes? Renji and Uryu with those new techniques and refined transformations. Renji's So-oh Zabimaru is powerful and even can use some of his Hihio techniques as well. I always loved seeing that giant snake flatten people, but now it actually works!
Not on some lvl lol and uryu too was holding back even more. The thing is renji can't even wound base uryu with all those powerful attacks, which just shows me how far uryu was to his lvl.
So is Uryu. Uryu did not even use all of his abilities while Renji went all out here. Even if Renji went for a killing blow, anti-thesis would defeat him. Obviously Ichigo would win in an all out fight, but like cmon. Uryu killed a squad 0 member, he is above Renji.

Renji only touched him because uryu stepped on those hairs. You can see renji struggling against those arrows. Overall i'd say low diff ( not mid ) because of some obvious reasons. Anyways, uryu's Vollständig is still not complete. No name or halo means uryu still lacks many things. Kubo will keep it for his fight against jugram and sk yhwach

Okay 3 things: 1. I ADORE Grimmjow’s new outfit. It makes him look SO kewl and fits his personality oh so very well. 2. Renji’s new Bankai was the HYPE of the episode for me! It’s animations were so clean and it looked so powerful and the number of techniques it has made it quite versatile. And finally The fight between Renji and Uryu was just awesome! Uryu’s new technique was a surprise and it’s also pretty powerful in it’s own right. I wonder just how many new techniques that we are gonna see? I can’t wait to find out!
Dbzimran I'll tell you what just happened mind blown into million pieces of shock exitement ,amazing quality and one heck of a fight the techniques of renji's bankai, uryu sklaverai form although we've seen it before so nothing changes but the technique implemented was amazing sucking renji's spiritual pressure and don't get me started on lille barro nearly killing the lieutenants it was basically 10 out of 10 just when you think it doesn't get better it just keeps getting better and I cannot wait for next week's episode ❤ it
I may have missed these both (a lot happened), but the two intro scenes of Uryu's eyes and Renji struggling in some red smoke-like substance were not seen; unless, of course, Uryu's eyes were the first instance of his holy form vs. Ichigo. ORRR, maybe the fight isn't completely over. The chain of fate fact may be played with, who knows. Loved the build-up of mayuri and kenpachi teasing especially because of what happens to zaraki.
Idk if y'all noticed, but Uryu only pierced Renji's Chain, and not his Hakusui/Soul Sleep which is the source of spirit energy. I just finished reading the Soul Society arc, and its made clear that to permanently depower a Shinigami, you need to pierce both. Anyone knows what happens if you only pierce the chain?
This episode was amazing. We got to see Ishida and Renji glow up and it felt like Renji Bankai was excellent Quincy counter Bankai. Loved the BANTER too. The shot of Haschwalth watching their fight was absolute perfection and loved seeing Lili doing actual sniping
My only complaint is I wish it was renji and rukia because rukia doesn't really do anything for the rest of the series and plus she knows uryu. It would've been cool to see both team up against a former friend.

My question is what happens with Renji now? In the manga he fights with Rukia and Byakuya against Gerard right? What now? He has a hole in him. Who is gonna heal him? Isane got shot by Lile Barro and she is the best healer left, other than ofc Orihime. Maybe Hanataro will get something to do and find Renji.

The snake head had a tail attached on it by default. The bones on Renji's hip is a separate thing.
This episode ended the controversy of his new Bankai being called"worst" by a lot of people just because it couldn't extend like the previous one.
That shows that So-OH Zabimaru is stronger than HihiO Zabimaru in every way.

My best guess for hañataro's role is going to be the one to save Renji and the others we saw go down. Unless Kubo wants to drop his bankai on someone like Gerard as a joke.
This was absolutely spectacular. The clash between Renji and Uryu definitely stole the show and perfectly showed their combat prowess. That final attack Uryu used was beautifully animated, all of it was.

The fact that this wasn't a "priority" episode and still went this insane only further excites me for the remaining episodes and cour 4. The art and animation continues to be impressive and all the exclusive content really helps show that Kubo still has plenty of creative ideas to push and that we're not getting just a true 1:1 manga to anime adapation.
My man Renji got the upgrade he deserved. Wish Chad could have had a level up and atleast taken a Sterneitter or two.

I used to hate Soo Zabimaru for how all over the place it is in terms of its design and it lack of versatility but after this episode i take it back its awesome af ! I love how he can detach parts of his bankai like the Skull and spinal cored and use it in a similar way to his old bankai and even light it on fire or detach the fur on the arm to grow new arms. Kubo and the Studio cooked with this fight even though Renji lost .

This new Renji fight reminds me of a bloodborne trick weapons where you can switch it to different attack modes mid combo. The original fight with Mask just did not convey the versatility of Zabimaru quite as well.
The directing and animation seem to get better and better with each passing episode. That and even more anime additions. This time with Renji vs Uryuu. Kubo really doing as much as he can to give these two needed justice after they were completely sidelined for nearly the entire TYBW arc.
Not only them but Jugram should get just as much attention if not even more and it seems they're heading towards that direction as well, at least I hope they do.
Crazy how the anime adaptation is surpassing the Manga
6:57- I think the multiple arms is possibly one of the best additions Renji got because it removes one of his weaknesses as fighter- relying on an extending weapon that leaves him open if someone finds an opening now he can pin someone down without lifting a finger potentially.
And since Bankai evolve with the user, the arms might eventually evolve into full monkey warriors to fight alongside him.
The fight really shows how much Renji was holding back against Mask
he always can pin/bind oppents using his basic Shikai and even his fake bankai by having zabimaru be wrapped around his oppenents. Like how he binded As Nodt so Byakuya can attack As nodt on the face.
The only difference now though is that his zanpakuto won't necessarily be broken if his oppenent was able to break free.
This one had the perfect mix of action and comedy, especially the Askin stuff 🤣 then Zaraki surprising Mayuri with them two going back and forth. Also Renji desperately needed that fight as well as Uryu it was epic seeing more of So-Oh Zabimaru's abilities plus Lille sniping off peeps like it's modern warfare damn not to mention Orihime running though 😮

It's a tiny moment, but we just gonna gloss over the fact that Grimmjow can just locally and partially access his ressurecione on a whim (when he turned his hands and just his hands into claws to bat away attacks)?

Even if the lost, Renji as character comes out of improved from this part, a lot of new techniques and applications of his new bankai (I especially love how he used "the old version" for the final attack), he needed some extra scene. Needless to say that Uryu still was boosted more, crazy defensive's level with Blut Vene, some new broken techniques again, plus confirming what I said some weeks ago, that even against Ichigo that form was Vollstandig+Sklaverei (the only thing I don't understand is how he can subdue the reishis without the Heiligenschein, unless forget to put the halo is just an error of the studio).
Lille sniping some fodders, Hanataro is finally here to save us, Ichigo vs Askin probably will be on screen, but I'm more surprised to get Baby Hold Your Hand before FRIEND, but since Mayuri-sama is one my favorites, that's good anyway.
Uryu's wings does the halo's job. This is because Uryu already unlocked Letz stil before gaining Voltstandig. And on Uryu's Letz stil form his "wings" is the conduit for Sklaverei. So his Volstandig inherited that making Uryu not needing a halo to do the sklaverie.
It is also a good distinction on how Uryu is different from other sternritters.

I really do appreaciate how you go out of your way to find the names of people who works on individual episodes to give proper credit. As anime fans we always gush about incredible aniamtion when we see it, and rightly so. But it´s always nice when people with a bit of reach on their platform makes the extra effort to credit animators by name.
This confirms that we'll see more techniques from all the fights. For examples, Kisuke/ Yoruichi vs Askin, Kyoraku vs Lille Barro, even Ichigo vs Yhwach

The battle between Uryuu and Renji reminds me of the battle between Byakuya and Renji. In both instance, Renji had to fight against countless trajectories (feathers vs petals) with his newfound power (Hihio vs So-Oh) but is defeated once get trapped (Feder Zwinger vs Rikujou-Koro). It was exciting yet so nostalgic and I loved every second of it !

Crazy how Uryu went from being relatively around ichigos level when he was first introduced, defeating Myuri to become fodder essentially to now fighting and defeating Senjumaru, *Ichigo (didn't go all out) and *Renji (didn't go for the kill) . I really womder how he is going to flip back to ichigos side after almost killing all of them and not holding back.
I feel like people don't understand Uryu's plan at least in the manga. His plan really is supoosed to not even let him rejoin Ichigo's group. Since he is basically trying to die trying to kill Ywach by basically suicide bombing wahrwelt. Uryu's plan was to basically let Ichigo and the gang escape once he set up every devices to collapse warwehlt along with Ywach and the schutztaffel including Uryu himself.

To say this was a good episode would be an understatement they did a great job with renji, renji looks cool in this episode they did a phenomenal job showing renji new abilities.
Only thing I disagree with is claiming Uryu was wrong about Renji not holding back. Not only is he smart but i feel like that line wouldnt of been said if it wasnt Kubo and the staffs intent. Plus Despite all of Renjis bluster he has always been noted to be similar to ichigo and I dont see him going all in to kill someone he did see as a friend even if it was subconsciously.
This plays into to Uryus later comment in his fight with Jugram where he straight up mentions pride i calling Ichigo, Chad, orihime, rukia and Renji people he loves to be compared to and cherishes. Neither were going all out but they definitly both had more heart in tnis fight than Ichigo did
Yeah it's kind of How Goku has changed Vegeta in a sense Ichigo has changed Renji sure Renji and Vegeta are more savage and don't mind dealing more damage but both aren't the ruthless killer they once were even to traitors.

They're saving Uryu's true power vs Jugram just to show how strong Jugram truly is by low to mid diffing Uryu. Who knows, maybe Jugram would get even more roles to play as well. Kubo make völlstanding Jugram a reality 🙏
We might even see Uryu help Ichigo in the final fight. It was hinted at in the manga, but the manga Enron was so rushed they just had Uryu just pop in and fire the arrow.
I am just glad that Uryu is now living up to his title of Ichigo’s rival. He is definitely up there in strength now.

Now tho I hope they'd fix Jugram's powerscaling by lining it with his narrative statements since according to the narrative he should be the 2nd strongest in the quincies and we already saw glimpes of that power both in the manga but also in the anime by demonstrating how unaffected Jugram is by Yhwach's reiatsu. Not to mention, Jugram is also a special quincy like Yhwach himself.

But then again, Jugram can also use the all mighty when it's night which defines who is a "true quincy" as well. It's very likely that Jugram could be Yhwach's son.

Uryu nreally is getting the love in this version of the 1000 year blood war arc and i love it!!! Even Renji (despite losing) got quite abit of time to show off his new bankai powers!
Renji hype finally carried an episode, yeah he lost because of home field advantage but he finally popped off for real
I love the new Renji scenes. At least, if he had to lose, they made it worthwhile against the new and vastly improved Uryu with it being good to know Sōō Zabimaru retains enhanced versions of Hihio Zabimaru's techniques plus a few new techniques and Uryu needed his Vollstandig, his Schrift and a couple new techniques as well to win while Renji subconsciously held back to boot.
Feder Zwinger (the new Uryu technique that extracts reiatsu from a victim) is German for Feather Kennel and it does fit thematically considering Renji is from the Hanging Dog district and has compared himself to a stray dog barking at the moon in the past ("I am really a tramp down to my bones. I hate myself. I bark at the moon, but I don't have the courage to jump and grab it." - Renji Abarai in "A STAR AND A STRAY DOG"). If I'm right on the translation then Uryu is an a**hole for putting Renji in a kennel.
Fedder Zwinger is kinda the like the one he used in the Hellverse movie against the reishii absorbing dude, Only that instead of the volstandig feathers he used seele schneider.
Uryu is yet to use his schrift. Basically, he's on shikai mode till Antithesis is activated.

He used on cour2 when he swapped Ywach place and his fight against Senjumaru. Other than that, I doubt he's subtlety used his schrift.
Moreover, if Uryu could hold his ground against true shikai Ichigo who I believe is very much stronger than bankai Renji, then I think there's no reason to use " schrift " on a slightly weaker opponent in Renji compared to the top tiers he's fought so far since genesis of TYBW arc.

Just to make something clear, the episode clearly stated, by Uryu, that Renji was holding back. He was not fighting with intent not kill. I think it’s important to point this out, and doesn’t weaken Renji’s growth.

If you look at end credits, Ufotable was mentioned, albeit some of their men assisted on animating Bleach i believe & yes all 3 of these are from aniplex.
The ending is played reversed in this episode maybe implyng that Uryu used his schrift to revert renji's wounds.

I literally read the volume they adapted for this episode, I lowkey, but I was really expecting them to include Bazz-B and Haschwalth’s backstory and their fight, but now that the episode has come out, I’m honestly glad they decided to hold back on showing it just yet. I really like how they gave Renji and Ishida their own fight and time to shine. Personally, I think this is the best episode of cour 3 so far

Renji's "" Two Kings" Bankai was superb! Glad they showcased the full abilities and gave him the spotlight.
This episode cooked so hard for no reason. Lille trying to become everyone's favorite Quincy with that visceral sniping scene. Pernida making a Quincy cross with its eyes? Renji and Uryu with those new techniques and refined transformations. Renji's So-oh Zabimaru is powerful and even can use some of his Hihio techniques as well. I always loved seeing that giant snake flatten people, but now it actually works!

The thing is renji can't even wound base uryu with all those powerful attacks, which just shows me how far uryu was to his lvl.
So is Uryu. Uryu did not even use all of his abilities while Renji went all out here.
Even if Renji went for a killing blow, anti-thesis would defeat him.
Obviously Ichigo would win in an all out fight, but like cmon. Uryu killed a squad 0 member, he is above Renji.

Once uryu used Vollständig it was over.
Renji only touched him because uryu stepped on those hairs.
You can see renji struggling against those arrows.
Overall i'd say low diff ( not mid ) because of some obvious reasons.
Anyways, uryu's Vollständig is still not complete.
No name or halo means uryu still lacks many things.

Okay 3 things:
1. I ADORE Grimmjow’s new outfit. It makes him look SO kewl and fits his personality oh so very well.
2. Renji’s new Bankai was the HYPE of the episode for me! It’s animations were so clean and it looked so powerful and the number of techniques it has made it quite versatile.
And finally The fight between Renji and Uryu was just awesome! Uryu’s new technique was a surprise and it’s also pretty powerful in it’s own right.
I wonder just how many new techniques that we are gonna see?
I can’t wait to find out!

Dbzimran I'll tell you what just happened mind blown into million pieces of shock exitement ,amazing quality and one heck of a fight the techniques of renji's bankai, uryu sklaverai form although we've seen it before so nothing changes but the technique implemented was amazing sucking renji's spiritual pressure and don't get me started on lille barro nearly killing the lieutenants it was basically 10 out of 10 just when you think it doesn't get better it just keeps getting better and I cannot wait for next week's episode ❤ it

I may have missed these both (a lot happened), but the two intro scenes of Uryu's eyes and Renji struggling in some red smoke-like substance were not seen; unless, of course, Uryu's eyes were the first instance of his holy form vs. Ichigo. ORRR, maybe the fight isn't completely over. The chain of fate fact may be played with, who knows.
Loved the build-up of mayuri and kenpachi teasing especially because of what happens to zaraki.
Idk if y'all noticed, but Uryu only pierced Renji's Chain, and not his Hakusui/Soul Sleep which is the source of spirit energy. I just finished reading the Soul Society arc, and its made clear that to permanently depower a Shinigami, you need to pierce both. Anyone knows what happens if you only pierce the chain?

This episode was amazing. We got to see Ishida and Renji glow up and it felt like Renji Bankai was excellent Quincy counter Bankai.
Loved the BANTER too. The shot of Haschwalth watching their fight was absolute perfection and loved seeing Lili doing actual sniping
My only complaint is I wish it was renji and rukia because rukia doesn't really do anything for the rest of the series and plus she knows uryu. It would've been cool to see both team up against a former friend.
