Thank you for putting this info out. I have HY vfd 110v 2.2kw 3hp connected to Masso Touch. Set it up just as diagram shows, and my vfd /spindle works. My question is about speed of spindle. Masso Touch gives me ability to manually test spindle from MDI command, which is nice, but the problem is that when I tried to warm-up my spindle(I usually run it for 15min @10000rpms before I use it for cuts) by typing s10000 m3, my spindle revved up to 35000rpm(that's what my vfd was showing)! I've quickly stopped it with m5 command. So i tested with s3000, and it runs @9500rpm. S4000 gives me close to 16000 rpm. I know its the VFD settings, but I'm so new to this world of electronics, that looking into manual for answers is making me even more confused. I know its parameters that I need to look at, but which? Any help and pointing into right direction for answers would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your support, and kind words. I'm glad the video helped you. Masso should be directing you on how to get the PWM voltage corrected as this is what controls the speed. Please contact Masso as you purchased the controller from them, and they should be supporting what they sell. Thank you, Vince
Thank you for your support. I'm not employed by Masso, and unless I'm paid, or supported in some way by them I don't plan on doing another video. Its interesting though they didn't make this video as its to support the unit they manufacture. Thank you, and have a great weekend! Vince
This is amazing. Thank you so much for taking the time to create this. I have that exact vfd and spindle have no idea which cables i need to buy. Can you help me? Which spec 4core shielded do i need as there's so many options. For vfd to masso is it 6 or 5 core and does it need to be shielded?
Thank you for your support. You'll require my 20awg 5 lead DS Flexion ultra flex double shielded cable here.www.ebay.com/itm/133891673190 Just let me know the length you require, and I can custom cut it if this length is to long. 5 lead is required with a GX-16 6 pin connector as the 6th terminal is allocated to the shield drain of the cable for proper EMI dissipation. Thank you, Vince
I don’t normally comment but there drawing is an eletrical drawing. You wouldn’t add a busbar in that type of drawing. But I appreciate your helpful video as it’s been useful for me
Thank you for your support. Actually controller wiring diagrams is exactly where you would install a ground bus diagram as it lets end users understand its required to properly allocate shield drains to from their required double shielded cables. Thank you, Vince
I have an important question. My house was wired 50+ years ago and does not have ground. All it has is +/- from the box. How would I wire a ground on this VFD? In this case, does it require a ground back to the box? Could I run a wire outside to a ground rod if needed?
Hey Joel, Thank you for your support. What you're discussing is actually more common with the sales of older homes. If the breaker box isn't up to code which it wouldn't be if a ground buss isn't present then it would have to be brought up to code. This is a major safety issue, even before running any robot. Thank you, Vince
Thank you for your support. Yes, I offer third party consultations for this. Please contact me through the video's description to schedule one. Thank you, Vince
Thank you for your support. I've never seen a need to in real world testing. Some manufacturers claim the VFD should have higher output, but when asked for real world examples showing the actual difference it makes I've never seen any actual verifiable proof. All oversea VFD/spindle combinations work fine when matched with the same VFD output as the spindle they'll be matched with. Thank you, Vince
Mr. The frequency in the USA is 60 HZ AND THE FREQUENCY OF MY MOTOR IS 50 HZ. THE PARAMETERS P0.03 60HZ, PO.O4 60HZ, P0.06 60HZ, AND FOR THE MOTOR P2.02 50HZ Is this correct? my gt vfd is 5kw 7.5hp thanks
Thank you for your support. Did you contact your vendor who sold the unit to you for support? Page 18 of the HY users manual covers it depending on your preference. Thank you, Vince
Thank you so much. Got the Masso Touch and the wiring diagrams are not always clear.
Thank you for your support. Glad to help. Thank you, Vince

Think you could do Genmitsu's VFD spindle kit to their controller? They have absolutely no way to control it except via the VFD knob.
Thank you for your support.

can you share that document for this setup?
The document is in the video, if you would like a copy you can email me.

Is it possible to reach out to you via phone for some information concerning the VFD?

Hi. With single phase connection live and neutral can be connected indifferently to R S T terminals or there is a specific way ?
R connection is for Live, and T connection is for Neutral. This is the correct way to wire it. Thank you,
Vince
@@corvetteguy50 Thanks for the clarification Vince 😉
You bet...:)
Thank you,

Do you get any requests for centroid acorn six boards
Thank you for your support. I don't as I'm not a vendor for Centroid. Thank you,
Vince
Do you have to oversize the vfd compared to the spindle wattage.
