Back then when we had to wait for weekly release there's a group of people on Facebook finding hidden massages in the artworks. For example number 13 in "i am ghoul" panel, hidden below kaneki's neck. Some people associated it with tarot card no 13. And flowers meaning over the story, from spider lily in rize arc, to white lilies in haise arc. There are lots more that i dont remember how it was, but its add extra layer to Sui Ishida's art. And if you think about it his pen name also means something else. Im aware it's just shallow attempt to make things more meaningful, but still cant deny how genius he is.
My man, If every video on youtube about my favorite manga were this good, I'd be convincing all of my friends on watching anime and reading manga. Keep the good work, your editing and ease at dealing the details about what you're talking about is remarkable.
I was never able to connect with Tokyo Ghoul. Tokyo Ghoul's art while technically great still left a lot to be desired for some reason. I think it's just proof that being "detailed" or technically flawless doesn't make art.
Some of the first volume didn’t had good artwork compared to the art in the end(not saying it was bad). The art became insanely good after 7th volume and became good and good and good
The whole appeal about TG's art is it being raw & not technically perfect. Art in the sequel re: is better imo. Although art is subjective so it's completely fine to dislike some of it.
@@just1narcissist some panels in first part are god like but some panel My favorite volume is 7 because art was incredible as well as kaneki new character design
So basically he doesn't hate his art because it was bad, he hates it because it could've been even fucking better
WHY IS THE QUALITY SO GOOD??????

I don’t think he’s shitting on his work. He’s just got high standards for himself. If he didn’t, then Tokyo Ghoul wouldn’t be as good as it is
Thank you for this analysis. Sui Ishida’s artwork is breathtaking and the way he captures emotions is so amazing, he is truly inspiring
