I love how much the room skews toward classical Disney imagery instead of just making the whole room pink. It gives me Mickey's PhilharMagic vibes, in the best way. Any Disney fan can appreciate this room, even if they're not really into princesses.
Literally squealed when I saw Magic Carpet! Also love the enchanted ottoman and Genie’s lamp faucet! So much cuter than the Contemp.
We stayed in one of those rooms 6 years ago. It was one of the best rooms we've stayed in from GF to Pop. The price was alot less than now but we love PORS as the best cost vs amenities on property. And if you can catch a deal on one of these rooms, totally worth the money. We will probably book it again in March 2022 now that it's open.
Now THIS is theming done right - not the IKEA rooms that are now the Poly/Contemporary/every other resort on property. I wish they'd have a clue and actually put effort into the rooms like they did this one.
This is what a Walt Disney World resort room should be! This room has a lot more theming than the white hospital rooms at the Contemporary, Polynesian, Pop Century, Art of Animation, All Star Music, All Star Sports, All Star Movies, standard wood view rooms at Port Orleans Riverside, etc.
I have stayed in these rooms and they are by far the prettiest princess rooms on property. Little mermaid can’t compare at AOA. The Riverside resort overall is one of the last bastions old true Disney Magic. Looking forward to staying there in December.
This beats the contemporary rooms by a huge margin!! Just the fireworks light is so very cool!!! That's the kind of theming that gets you in the mood for Disney. The contemporary room is pathetic.
We stayed in a Royal Guest Room. In 9/2019. Loved this room!!
I lived inside one of these during my 2019 trip. The accessible room had an Armoire for your clothes. Loved it all!

I was so worried he was going to skip the ottoman lol. I literally squealed when I saw that! The dog ottoman from Beauty and the Beast.

We stayed in this room, and loved it! This is the Disney feel we want in their rooms. Not the IKEA feel you get in the newest updates.
That is what I want in a Disney room. It looks fabulous.

We stayed in these rooms on our WDW trip a fewyears back, its so nice! The area around there is really nice too, with the boat trip to the stores too
That room by far is way better than the new contemporary room! Ive stayed at the contemporary , GF, BW, Riverside,polynesian all stars, shades of green, other boardwalk resorts but not
Yacht club...liked them all for the money but the new contemporary is not worth the money for what you get! That N.O. room looks great!

Who else thinks Tom is correct about the difference between the moderate themed room at Port Orleans Resort and the Deluxe room at the Contemporary Resort is absolutely stunning?
This is my favorite room …. Favorite resort we have ever stayed !
My parents just got to port orleans for their 20th anniversary and the cast members upgraded them to a royal guest room because they oversold king bed rooms. They said it’s gorgeous they never have stayed in a room so elegant!
Love these rooms. So pretty. Can't wait to stay in these on day.

I love the tile in the bathroom floor as well with the small blue accent tiles. What size are the beds? A huge downside is the Pirate rooms was that they were Doubles instead of Queens.

Thank you for the tour! The Riverside is my favorite resort. I haven’t seen the Princess rooms though. This is so much better than the Contemporary Resort rooms!! I love the theming and back story. This is Disney! We need more of this please!!!

I wasn't sure if I wanted to book here for our next trip but you did an amazing job showing the room and I have heard such great things about this resort that I am convinced. I am planning on booking here for March 2022. My princess is a little older but I think she is going to love staying in this room. Princess Tiana is one of her favorites! I stayed in a royal room several years ago and will always remember how nice and enchanting the room is. Easily one of my favorites. I would like to stay in the pirate themed room at Caribbean Beach for a comparison. This is how a Disney themed room should be.
Going down for my wife’s birthday with our 3 year old daughter in a couple weeks. They think we are staying at All Star Music…. boy will they be surprised! Can’t wait to surprise them.

Those rooms have the worst beds though
I remember dying of pain while sleeping the few I stayed there a couple years ago.
I just stayed at Jambo House @Animal Kingdom Lodge and the bed was super stiff like a hard mattress not fluffy and cozy. I like a squishy mattress like some memory foam. I have never stayed at The Floridian I wonder how their mattresses are? Or what are the best mattresses in all of Walt Disney World?
I always loved staying at Dixie Landings. We stayed at a princess room back in 2017, and really my only complaint (other than distance to the bus stop) was the outlets. I think they were the original, from 1992. Nothing I plugged in wanted to stay in the sockets. I guess the modern bricks that USBs plug into were too heavy for them.
My only quibble would be I wish this and all the resorts offered family suites or even 2-room suites (no pull out sofa please!). As I have said in another video comment, we loved staying at Port Orleans French Quarter several years ago, but even with just 3 of us (my wife’s and then 7-yr old daughter) the room was tight. All these resorts need larger suites!
Another quibble if I recall was that the beds are smaller doubles rather than queens - at least we we went.

Stayed in this last week. I’m a huge Disney fan but I thought it was a little much. The tiana portrait is 3D and the eyes follow u like the Mona Lisa haha
We’re staying in one of those for our honeymoon next week (the second half of the stay actually)

And I hope the price of it reflects that it's like good quality and everything for what you want in a hotel room hotel. Accessibility to the parks not bad. I hope with the influx of price since you recorded this. It's good still but otherwise not bad, I'd stay here.
Just wonder what it is 2 years on from that. Sure. It might be more updated by now. But it's exactly what you need and close vicinity and price, renovations. That they keep the charm Just wonder what it is 2 years on from that

I do agree it’s gorgeous, and in the right price range. I think they are showing there age though. I’d like to see an updated version of the Princess 👑 room

The beds used to have gorgeous bedspreads and pillows. But not anymore. Just plain white.
do you know if at wdw complex they have a tangeled them hotel?
Disappointed that there are no Tiana themed rooms. This is nice but when you walk in the room it's everyone else and then in the far right corner a pic of Tiana that the lighting does not catch. The modern rooms really have no sense of the the Princess and the Frog theme. Finally Tiana at the 11:55 mark in the snow white frame with the Snow White initials on it. "I don't need the Tiana piece". The princesses should be in the spot they have Tiana. IJS
HELP a new Wig. Im thrilled to have a couple nights in a Princess room this year. I won't have a car. is there any help getting my luggage to and from the lobby?
Idk if you’ve already stayed because this comment is a few months old. But go to luggage assistance when you get to the hotel and they will help you bring your luggage to the room!
…but not all the princesses are represented. Until this year Mulan, Pocahontas and Merida were largely ignored. It shows in this room too

The resort just reopen after being closed since March 2020 but the rooms are old. I’d love to stay here but the beds may be too small for four adults. Also hate that Disney started charging per adult if you have more than two.
Those rooms are so worn and outdated. For a premium room, please get rid of the popcorn ceiling. Yes they are cute but let’s upgrade then a bitZ
