John you are spotin...we have wr1, 2, and 3 filled reasonably well though Dotson has some questions. If we didn't spend the draft capital to move up and get a LT we certainly shouldn't spend it to upgrade WR. Save what it'll take to trade for BA and use it to upgrade the OL.
Aiyuk is hedging for a new deal. Asking for a trade is a common strategy. At best, Aiyuk plays (begrudgingly) this year, San Fran doesnt tag him, and then he becomes a free agent. But it still feels more likely he is signed in August or September. I think only the need to sign Purdy could hinder signing Aiyuk.
I just dont see his fit here, i get his chemistry with JD but terry is legit #1 and i think a more well rounded weapon (on top of being the ultimate captain) and its too early to give up on Jahan dotson for a guy who will cost 3xs as much. Im also very high on luke mccaffery and want to see what he will bring. When u add ekler/Brob out of the backfield and Sennott/Ertz and TE i dont feel that pass catcher is a roster weekness. Especially if we had to give up assets and deal out a top $$ contract to improve it
AP is known for 1and 2 yr FA contracts. He'd rather build through the draft. Also Harris has that lawsuit bill to take care of. And still wants to better the fan experience.
