*What did you think of the first 2 episodes of DARK MATTER? Good Series? Bad Series? Too predictable?* I'll be covering this weekly, so SUBSCRIBE and join the conversation.
Definitely invested in the mystery of why Jason 2 has swapped lives, I'm guessing "success" has cost too much. Dark Matter hasn't grabbed me quite the same as Constellation has. They are a bit too many similarities, though I do appreciate seeing content with high production value.
Sure hope you cover Outer Range as well! I don’t see S1 on your playlist, but you may have covered it under another channel. I loved your Constellation recaps and now I’m gonna enjoy Dark Matter, too!
I'm going to try! I watched season 1 but only covered it in "shorts form "on my other channel. Thanks for the kind words and enjoying the breakdowns!... the only negative is all of Outer Range season 2 is dropping at once :(
Oh, man, I didn’t know that. I figured they’d maybe drop 2 episodes at a time. I refuse to binge it all bc I want to relish in how good the show is. I’ll probably watch 1 or 2 episodes per week. I’ve been rewatching S1 as a refresher and there’s so much I totally forgot about.
Of what significance is the switch sound? At first I thought it was for when the reality switched, but that’s not it. Could there be timeline jumps too?
Time dilation might actually be a thing on the show, but I think the 14 months Jason 2 was missing could be explained by time he spent finding the ideal world with the right Jason to steal his life, as well as the time he spent stalking the right Jason, understanding his life and waiting for the right opportunity. They show Jason 2 lived in some kind of storage unit....so it could have been a while
I enjoyed your video and found it quite accurate. Blake Crouch is like sci fi for teenagers, I have read the book and so far it is very loyal to the material. Just a wee comment... although Constellation LOOKED more... alternative, complex, whatever, it was much more complex to figure out the same things you just figured out (red/green etc). So far so good, much easier to catch and fun to watch.
I think it’s not realistic that Jason 1 ends up in Jason 2’s version of his reality. We’ve learned in order to arrive at a point in time is to think of that time. Jason 1 has no reference to think of Jason 2’s space in time. The probability that he ends up there from the get go is minuscule, but essential to the story line. Maybe this will be addressed in the future…what exactly did he think of to get there.
there are hypothetically unlimited realities where Jason and Daniella end up together - every choice made creates another "what If" universe, so its not hard to assume that there are millions of universes that are basically the same with small minute details changed by each choice). He happened to find one and for all we know he could have scouted out a few others that werent to his liking first before settlting on this one.
@@kylebertholf5597 That’s true, I think if we look at the ampoules that were used that would shed a lot of light on that:) I haven’t counted them but there are lots of random screen shots of the amounts, that’s definitely a possibility!

Yes, read the book. It’s very faithful to the original material and Blake Crouch himself is writing the episodes.
Even after knowing the outcome from reading the book, I’m still mad Daniela2 was killed 😂
I’m VERY intrigued on where all of this is going
That's the Connelly effect :-)

Appreciate it, because that’s what I was initially thinking, but then some of they dates were screwy, so maybe I’ve digging too deep into things
