Such a unique song, haunting tone and delivery. You know you've got a timeless hit when 20+ years later nobody dares to cover it. The bass line on this tune is a masterpiece. My old room mate turned me on to this band, Drew, thank you very much!

Gotta get my Wire Train fix at least a couple of times a week. There's something otherworldly about this track that I dig. Perhaps it's the mellotron and crickets.
Yeeewaaah I know what you mean this song is something special and I gotta love those crickets ! This is my favourite by them.but this whole album is awesome
Have heard this in years Song just pop in my head & i dont even have no relationship drama Man Its Crazy cause b4 youtube I had a lot of cds now I got a lot of vids of the songs I love
Me too - i have the cd and fell in love with it the first time i heard it even tho i had never heard of them and dont know anyone else who has so i love introducing this band to them - best song ever!
I was in St Louis one time. And wandered into a bar and the album cover for no soul no strain was enlarged to like 10 by 10 it behind the stage. I found the manager of the bar and ask them about it and they just said a design had picked it. I must admit I was a little disappointed
Esta tola suena maravillosa por la noche y es justo cuando recuerdo Rock 101 imaginando sirenas etéreas e inalcanzables. By the way, some one knows who might be the model in this video?
Saludos.
@@1994MX-6True, but I ment the 80's look. Duran Duran, Rod Stewart, The Cure, The Cult, Roxy Music, and on and on. They all went through that fase, like we had The Glam Rock before that. LOL Meanwhile, this was a clip, and they went for that look. Just like Queen went for that girlie look in "I Want to Break Free" Or Eminem iconic outfits. ;-) It was just a one time thing. 😉
funny, I thought I was the lone thinker who thought he looked like Tom Cruise......who I loathe......luv this band, luv the song......Tom Cruise is just an overpaid freak of whatever church....
I'll show you terrible videos... watch any video made recently featuring any college age crap band that dress like it's the '70s even though the members were all born in the 80s. Or even more insufferable, when the band dress like the Beatles (40 years ago) and either screech like a drowning cat or mumble like an idiot. Wire Train was the real deal and this video looks as good if not better than 99% of the other treadmill/ webcam videos being cranked out today.
One of my favorite songs of ALL time and not even available on Spotify?!!!!!!😡
Right?!🤬
I confirm 😢

In a way You move In the things You do In a way I`m always Crashing back to you In a way You are Pushing me So hard Like light Reflecting of your shining star
It would be a lie you know To say I kept my head I was so Aching To belong
Watsed and flying free She blew across the field Then she come With her sirens on
In a way You move In the things You do When you break me down And say I belong to you In a way You are Pushing me So hard Like light Reflecting of your shining star Only in my head Only in my head Believe in impossible That don`t make it possible Don`t make it right
So I sit here mesmerized Staring at your face I Wonder Where the exit was And you have seen The weak and strong You have guided me along And left me Prisoner of love
In a way You move The things You do In a way I`m always Crashing back to you In a way You are Pushing me So hard Like light Reflecting of your shining star Like light Reflecting of your shining star Like light Reflecting of your shining sta
Is that a nod to The Replacements in the lyrics?
This album was exceptional for its time…
👽 cuando tenía 9 años conocí este temazo
this band has been terribly undiscovered since the 80's... unique music, love them...
Love this song! It’s got that U2 sound with the guitar 🎸
You could hear the argentinian band @sodastereo. It worth it!
They sound cool too! Thanks for sharing!
@@Snolan2U22 my pleasure!
Why they were understated and not a huge success as they deserved?
This one could have been easily a number one everywhere 🤔

Easily one of the best basslines in the history of sound.

Love the song ... don't care for the 1984 Style Council look.
Oh, well, they all went for that Talking Heads look. It was cool back then. 😁
