In case you missed it , in the scene where Peter screams “No!” We can see Zoe Saldana (Gamora) actually break character and cry and the camera quickly cuts
For a "themepark" movie, I must say there are moments in each MCU movie that has that peak acting moment. Chris Pratt in this scene steals the spotlight

It's mind boggling to me how many reactors on their final edited video completely leave out the biggest implication of Lyla's words to Rocket. In the MCU, a world where ancient gods of Norse or Greek mythology are shown to be real, living, beings of advanced worlds mistaken as gods and a story with a specific antagonist who outright declares there is no God so he stepped in to play the role, Lyla tells Rocket that although the High Evolutionary's cruelty made them, there was a higher power guiding thing specifically so Rocket could exist. The High Evolutionary didn't actually make Rocket what he is. He couldn't understand how Rocket can do what he is capable of, how his mind is able to understand, analyze, and solve puzzles. Rocket is special and the result of a higher power at play. She's essentially implying The One Above All, or God, exists in the MCU. Hopefully Marvel Studios doesn't forget about this line and follow through in Secret War with Rocket being an essential and central figure of importance to setting things right.
Honestly with the MCU they have completely done away with the idea of there being no gods just scientifically advanced aliens and have instead just fully embraced the gods aspect and making the gods real. We know that eternity is in the MCU so it would make sense that the one above all would also exist.
Honestly they should’ve had rocket die in this movie. They cheapened the whole race against time for ultimately no emotional twist. Until you’re 90, rocket.
I agree, but Gunn’s theme for the whole film was “we’re better together”. That’s why every character has a moment where they COULD have died, but ultimately get saved by someone in their party. Is it the theme people wanted? Probably not, but it was consistent and Gunn is a very consistent writer.
By your logic, this movie wouldn't exist because all the prior movies didn't have an emotional twist where the entire plot was in vain and the protagonists lose after everything they went through to position themselves for victory. Makes no sense.
“I got you killed” absolutely wrecks me
And after that: "I got everybody killed..."
When he says “can I come?” The tears start rolling every time
Chris Pratt did a fantastic job in this part. I was on the verge of tears watching this scene.
Yeah, he did. His character has lost so much, he was determined not to lose Rocket, too.
U almost cried? Check your estrogen levels 🧚 🌈 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
He's a good actor
13:14 “The space otter is so wise” 😂
Chris was so incredible in this Scene...😍
It was the raw emotion from Chris Pratt that had me bawling. 😭😭
Rocket’s guilt gets me every time, I can’t watch him saying “I got you killed, I got everybody killed” without falling to pieces

Chris's in this scene is amazing, pure talent

Gets me in the feelz EVERY time.....
Grow a pair 🧚♀️
glad I brought tissues to the theater
I need a video like this for the scene where Peter goes back to Earth and sees his grandfather.
Chris Pratt really put everything into that scene.
I was bawling in the theaters, I had to get up and excuse myself
😭
This movie made me cry so many times.
This is the best scene to show to people who say Chris can’t act
He can’t. Especially playing a soldier in military
The "can I come?" Destroyed me
Am I the only that just thinks Chris Pratt's acting in this scene is fucking amazing
This is the first movie to make me ugly cry in the theaters. 🤣😂😅 Luckily I wasn't the only one. I've never heard so many sniffles.
😅😅😅😅😅. 🌈 🤡
"This is just emotional manipulation!" - Natalie Gold
HA, coming from someone who joked about divorces just to promote a fucking movie they made
What?

Man. I went to the movies hoping to laugh and have a good time… I spent 2 hours crying about a raccoon that’s not even real💀

@CursedImagesEveryday that's not the MCU though that's Sony's own cinematic series.
Rocket is not only a raccoon, but he’s an American as well
Nobody is perfect
Its even sadder when his girlfriend dies.
