  • This video is a demonstration of talking to a difficult patient (about COVID), a common role play scenario station which comes up in MMI interviews (and OSCEs in medical school!). I also go over a typical mark scheme for this station. I hope this video will be useful for you!
    Also, many thanks to my housemate Aniket for being an excellent actor for the last two videos :)
    Remember that I am also offering mock interviews for medicine applicants this year. Click this link to the google doc to find out more!

    Sorry I was confused. In the question they tell you his mother has cancer and is doing chemotherapy. Do we in this scenario need to to ask for that specifically? Or proceed knowing and acknowledging that his mother has cancer?

    • @RohanYesudian
      @RohanYesudian  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It doesn't really matter - you can either ask the patient like I did in this scenario, or you could directly acknowledge it because it's given to you in the question

    The only thing I would. have done is suggested that he took the covid test because if he has faith in the test's results or at least some awareness that it could be a valid result.. maybe he would be more open to the idea of a vaccine.
