Jonathan Simon man im bummed out. Just when the battle with vettel was turning to his side. Immediately no excitement on the front anymore. He and verstappen switched cars from last season or something. Redbull seems unreliable past seasons. Chassis is incredible though as this track showed. So atleast you get something. Renault should be slightly more reliable (allthough sainz lost power aswell). But their pace is severely lacking vs top 3 teams.

That's the mode Max starts in.
It was only in his 3rd stint on the ultras where he had a good few laps. The final 20 laps, only the first 10 where good with those ultras
Wilco Muurling He was the best together with Verstappen over all stints, what he did in the first put him in the position to overtake Ricciardo in the second and push Ricciardo so hard to limit that he retired in the third, due to engine problems

Kimi had 10 DNF's with McLaren in 2002 so Danny Ric isn't by far the only driver with a lot of bad luck in his career. Heck Raikkonen lost two possible WC (2003 & 2005) due to unreliability and bad luck. DR only lost one or two races.
Like many people, I feel awful for Danny Ric, but saying that RBR is sabotaging him is downright stupid. There's absolutely no reason for them to spend a lot of money breaking and fixing his car while losing loads of points. I know it's frustrating, not only for him but also to his fans, but even considering that RBR could have deliberately thrown away a 1-2 in order to make Danny suffer (or whatever petty reason people are saying for RBR's supposed sabotaging of his car) shows an astounding lack of brain cells

He had to pass Hamilton as well. Vettel lost out a lot because he was boxed in at the start, and braking too early before turn 1.

I'm a Danny Ric fan, and as good as he is (top 5 maybe 4 on the grid), Verstappen more often than not finds an edge over him, for example the start today (despite not being entirely ricciardo's fault) pretty much got him the win whether ricciardo finished or not, verstappen is one of the best and deserves credit today
You are totally right. Ricciardo is a fantastic driver and almost everyone likes him of course. It's sad what happend to him. But overall Max will beat Ricciardo. And yes I am also a ric fan but to be honest more because his caracter. :D
Dani can be good in some races, but also, he can have pretty bad pace comparing to other top drivers, very inconsistent, but this was the race where he could do good, I feel bad for him.

Red bull was surely the best car here, to the point verstappen was pulling away and ricciardo was holding him off perfectly till the car failed, I don't think he would've overtaken ricciardo at all.

@@Firemarioflower Not in mexico, in this race red bull was simply stronger, not sure you remember it well, verstappen was 15 seconds ahead or something, vettel had problems overtaking the slowest red bull driver, catching the fastest and overtaking is absolutely unrealistic.

I was at the crowd last sunday supporting for Ferrari (my first f1 race), the team did a great job, it was very exciting to see Seb and Kimi fight for the positions against Mercedes and Red Bull....great perfomance from Max and it was very emotive to see Lewis as a five time champion of the world, everything at Mexico City, i'll never forget this.
Kimi sucked. Vettel was boss again
