All of I-55 travels between Laplace, LA and Chicago, IL. It parallels 3 US routes. It paralles US 51 between Laplace, LA and Memphis, TN; US 61 between Memphis, TN and St. Louis, MO; and Historic US 66 between St. Louis, MO and Chicago, IL.

I-55 and US 51 follow the tracks of the City of New Orleans between Manchac and Jackson on CN (former Illinois Central). Between St. Louis and Chicago along the old Chicago & Alton line (now Union Pacific) are several corridor trains and the Texas Eagle to San Antonio.
Trying to catch up for all I've missed really enjoyed the i-55 series. I got close to going to Chicago once ended up making a right at Indianapolis going to Detroit wanted to see an automobile manufacturing plant
@504RoadTrips: I didn't know you caught film going beyond Chicago to Minneapolis. Good thing you've covered that considering the fact that there's a 28-mile three-route concurrency between I-39, I-90 and I-94, which lasts between Madison, WI and Portage, WI. This is the longest three-route concurrency in the Interstate Highway System. Of the three interstates that overlap each other, I-90 is the one to retain its mileage. Good way to slightly extend your I-94 series, which by the way, I've already seen what you've already covered of I-94. By the way, I was thinking at first that you would cover most of US-61 like you said in that livestream first as I sort of had the feeling that you would take a break from posting any video covering an interstate, and post videos covering a back road for a while, kind of like with that road trip you did last year. This upcoming series covering portions of I-90 and I-94 just surprised me. I was expecting the I-55 and US-61 series-es, but the upcoming one you mentioned at the end of this video, you kind of surprised me. 🎉🪅🥳 NOTE: This comment may be edited to make things a little more clear.
The US-61 series will be coming up in January. We're actually in the process of finishing filming of US-61. I didn't want to start working on it until I had all of it. When we made the trip back down, we ended up in Memphis the last night, but had to be in Baton Rouge the next afternoon. So we took the Interstate the rest of the way, intending to go back up to Memphis a couple of weekends later to get the rest of US-61. That didn't happen. So I took a few days off after Thanksgiving, and we made the trip up to Memphis last night. We're in Vicksburg right now, and we'll be filming the rest of US-61 tomorrow. There will be extra videos in December to get all of I-90/39/94 published before the end of the year, plus some other bonus material.

This upcoming series partially serves as an expansion to their I-94 series, which they filmed back in July 2019. They've already covered the part of I-94 between the western suburbs of Minneapolis, MN to the ND-MT state line, but for this series, they'll cover the part of I-94 between Madison, WI and Minneapolis, MN. According to the banner image on their channel, they'll hop on I-90 (eventually meeting with I-39 in Cherry Valley, WI, and reunite with I-94 in Madison, WI, forming the longest three-route concurrency in the Interstate Highway System), and eventually exit onto I-94 towards the Minneapolis-St. Paul, MI Metropolitan Area. I'm sure most roadgeeks know this, but in case some of you don't know, I-90 and I-94 intersect several times: at I-94's western terminus Billings, MT, in a concurrency from Tomah to Madison in WI; in a concurrency in Chicago, IL; and in Lake Station, IN.

We went to Chicago for the sole purpose of covering all of I-55. It was hundreds of miles out of the way, but we had an extra day to do it, so we did.
