Good times as a driver for Burlington Trailways having to make the stop in the middle of Illinois State University’s campus . My sister went to college there as well. Always a nice drive .
First time I was on this, it didn't exist: you used what's now Business I-55 (US 66, Veterans Memorial Parkway) around the east side of town on the way to Chicago. Had I-39 been completed, it also would have used this bypass and went south from the I-74/US 51 interchange toward Decatur, where a partially-built interchange remains.
Great ride on interstate 55 from Bloomington to normal. A very smooth ride with no traffic
Nice ride in Bloomington and normal along interstate 55 south
