    In fairness to the the fans Brian, they didn't wait for us to start winning, sold out season tickets shows they bought into the belief before a ball was kicked,

    Last time I was confident of coming back from 2 down, Freddie Goodwin was manager.

    First time I have been at a Blues match where at 2-0 down nobody appeared to be worried that we were going to lose.

      2-0 down off to town didn’t apply. We knew we’d be back in the game

    There are still some issues, the 1st goal there was a deeper issue beyond BPF mistake, Williamsom received the ball in space on the right didn't turn or pass forward, passed back, Klarer then passed back to the keeper. 2 chances to forward pass but invited pressure on the keeper instead.

    • @louisfinnerty4143
      @louisfinnerty4143 10 วันที่ผ่านมา +8

      Passing forward is not a deeper issue. We've never passed forward so much in my lifetime. The issue was purely BPF literally no need to concede like we did he didn't look like he even saw their player, it was so easily avoidable.

    • @dereksmalls6238
      @dereksmalls6238 10 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Thank you for this comment, Klarer put BPF under immense pressure with that pass. It wasn't an individual error and singling out the keeper isn't right.

    • @louisfinnerty4143
      @louisfinnerty4143 10 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      @@dereksmalls6238 re-watch it and explain to me how that pass doesn't set BPF up for a first time pass to Cochrane. He decides to take a (bad) touch whilst being closed down quickly instead of passing first time, the pass was fine. There's nothing wrong with calling players out for basic fuck ups, that was the easiest goal Peterborough will get all season. We all accept we'll concede playing like this but BPF could've done better there.

      @@dereksmalls6238 It was a good pass from Klarer albeit it put BPF under pressure but he should have been far more aware of the danger closing in and just got rid.

      @@louisfinnerty4143 It is a deeper issue as you invite the press, now there are time you can do that when you are on top or have tired out the opposition but at the start of the 1st half where we have been poor it invites the opposition press when they are fresh and full of energy!

  • @k-matsu
    @k-matsu 10 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

    The biggest danger when youre adopting that style of play (working the ball out from the back) comes in the first five or ten minutes of each half, when the opposing players are all sprinting full out on the press. You need to anticipate this problem, and be a bit less devoted to playing out from the back, in the opening minutes of each half.

    • @jamo98
      @jamo98 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      This is spot on. Teams will come full of energy, but they blow themselves out pretty quickly, which is what we're seeing. Blues have to anticipate this, and as you said, maybe try a different strategy until the game settles down 💙

    Are we worrying unnecessarily? Do we drop the keeper despite us winning 6 games in a row? Will bringing in Allsop disrupt us even more than persisting with Peacock Farrell?

    I don’t think you could say he recovered after the mistake, he was nervous as hell (made worse by the crowd I’m sure). But he even fluffed out for a needless corner after that due to his nerves. Big decision ahead do you change him and knock him even more, or stick with him for a home game where the crowd are going to react even more to a mistake off him. Tough one for CD, but in Chris we trust.

  • @slightlyconfused876

    Knowing that we start slowly and that Peacock Farrell has made a couple of, errors perhaps the defenders should try not to put him under pressure like they did on Saturday for the first goal.

    I don't think that Davies is going to set up his team to keep the fans happy over the goalkeeper! We have actually seen plenty of "mistakes" in many areas of the pitch as the players get used to playing to the Davies mantra. Unfortunately goalkeeping mistakes often lead to goals against. I think we need to give them time, and also get real about just how well they have responded to going goals down.

    I agree with this title, getting relegated was the best thing that did happen. Just imagine how this team will play better together when we gel. As long as we score more than the opposition we will win. Simple! It’s up to the manager to change the team if he sees fit; not us. BPF is being highlighted because goals come from mistakes or brilliance from the opposition. Still expecting us not to lose v Huddersfield!! KRO

    BPF may be a tall goalie but looks shy and not dominant as you would want him to be, but if we are going to make mistakes, do them early in games and early in the season. Further into the season they will be ironed out and we will all forget about them

    Some of these conversations are way too cocky at this stage.
    As long as we have BPF in goal, there’s a chance we don’t get top 2. I’d take second if you offered it right now. Promotion is promotion.

    Fed up of this Peacock F conversation. He's made lots of mistakes and passes the ball 15 yards either side. He doesn't dominate the 6 yard box and goes missing with crosses. As for shot stopping, who knows, he's not been tested and probably won't be with our defence and the quality in this League.

    Lots of great things but Birmingham Airport is a Disgrace and not suitable for fans from abroad coming to watch the club in the future. I was standing by the carousel for 5 hours yesterday.
    I then realised I only traveled with hand luggage.
    But the point is Tom Brady aKnighthead need to invest in the airport so we are serious.
