I always loved this song but never really took in the meaning. I was still an addict when this came out. Now I've been in recovery for 10+ years, and lately I've been struggling again. Hearing this today has given me the insight I needed. It brought me to tears, and I feel empowered. God bless you on your recovery.

What saved me in the first place was completely cutting such people out of my life. I figured after10 years clean I was strong enough to be around a couple of them... until it was in my face. I've kept my distance since my last slip, and though it hurts them and me, because they are people I truly love, I know that I can't remain friends. Even my now sober friends are a trigger, but those friends understand why I don't contact them. I feel strong in my sobriety and will continue to do whatever it takes to never return to the life that almost killed me. Thank you for your support. It's good to know I have a new friend now who has my back! 💜💜💜

This man when made it he went and got his younger brother out of Foster Care, he had his daughter Hailey and his x wife had a little girl by someone else and her sister was on drugs he adopted those 2 little girls plus his biological daughter Haley and his and raised all of them by himself Em is a good guy 💙👍🙏
I am primarily a metal head and old school rock person and I haven’t listened to a lot of rap in depth but I do love Eminem from the moment he hit the scene.
What really gets under my skin about Eminem, his fans, career, and his life, honestly began with this song. I remember the first time I heard this song, I had it on repeat for a week straight, showing everyone I knew this song. I was so hyped, and this song meant so much to so many people. His life turned around, he had his priorities in check.. Then, his fans. The Stans, if you will, harping on this dude about, "ahh, this music is shit, I miss Shady, bring back Shady, where's Shady?" Like, let the dude evolve, man. And after some time, in several of his songs, he mentions how "you wanted Shady, you got him!", and lines like that.. Don't get me wrong, I love his music, and his aggression. The surprise drop of Kamikaze was great and all, but I have to wonder if it gets to him on a personal level, you know? Trying to recreate himself (which is is succeeding at, to be fair), but people just won't let him be anything else but his Shady persona... from 20+ years ago. Anyways, keep at it Jojo, looking forward to the next one.

I have lost two sons and I honestly don't believe even *I* have touched the True Hardness of Life. I know way too many people who have had it so much Harder than most of us. I'm Grateful for that.
