My brother lives in Towson & I always enjoy my visits to Baltimore. The architecture of the old buildings is amazing, no one builds those kind of details into a building anymore. Thanks for exploring some of those old building for me.
I'm surprised some don't want to watch anymore dirty room... I think it's absolutely hilarious. Each to their own I guess. Love all of your stuff Dan. Quiet time is quite lovely.
I really like Baltimore too. I lived in the D.C. area for a while and folks down there thought I was crazy. As you said, it's full of history. Thanks for another great video.
I'm from Baltimore. Grew up in Baynesville/Parkville area. Moved downtown when I was 18. Lived there from the early 80's to 1996 when i moved to Richmond, VA. Lived in Fells Point, Mt Vernon, and Butchers Hill. All those areas are way more swanky now than when i lived there. West Baltimore hood hasnt changed much though. I made many a run through there in my 20's. It definitely is way better when you get up the nerve to get out of the car in some of those areas. Met some of the best people in the scariest parts of the city.
You are definitely a brave, brave man. Being from a small agricultural town in California we don't see much of this stuff (abandoned places) so I really enjoy watching your videos. your my "real tv" to the world that I don't get to see lol
I had to check out the Valve house (online) and found out there are plans to restore the building. I hope they follow through. It's a shame such a beautiful building is left to rot.
In Baltimore, many times a block of two story rowhomes had a three story building at one or both ends. They were usually designed for a mom & pop business on the first floor while still allowing for two floors of living space like the other homes have. As a native Baltimorean, I developed a love of the city's brick rowhouse architecture at an early age and was always saddened to see some of them neglected and demolished for newer homes that would never be as well built as the older homes they replaced. One word of caution - please don't try to explore buildings having the placard with red background and white X. They have been found to be no longer structurally sound and the placards are there to warn the fire dept. not to enter if the place catches fire.
I love these. It's like taking a walk with you, looking at places. I love how controlled your camera work is too. I have mentioned before, some of these other people make you dizzy with the camera going all over the place.
In about 2011, a child was thrown from a car and hit a tree--or the car hit the tree and the child was thrown from the car--directly in that area. She then passed away. There have been (gasp and clutch pearls here) a number of murders in that area but that's the only child one I remember.
i can relate to your sentiments about Baltimore. having never been, i can say that the place has a "personality" of its own that has come through to me after watching enough of your videos shot there. i live just outside Gary, and i feel the same way about that city. so much history, so much personality, and both fortunately and unfortunately, so much beautiful decay.
You like Baltimore now cause you've embraced the history of what was. Here in Pittsburgh it's the same but the city has had a facelift in the 50's so most of those older buildings are gone. The city doesn't even look like it used to lol. Love your videos Dan. I watch them all the time.
That Lake Clifton Pump House needs to be saved! Dan, you could do a series on "Historic Buildings to Save From The Wrecking Ball." You already make a difference and could really harness that into Community Action.
personally I love the dead mall series way more than dirty room but that's just my humble opinion which is worth basically nothing.. anyway I'll watch anything you put out Dan!
That's how I feel about my city Dan. I live in Oakland CA, there's a lot of poverty. Sometimes I hate it, other times I'm fascinated by the way people live and survive here. Just a while ago I passed through a rough street, and I thought to myself about how I really quite like it a lot. My city has character!
Dan, I always appreciate the historic images you capture on your adventures to unloved and forgotten places. I especially like the dead mall series, its reminds of what a spectacle it was in the mid 80's thru the 90's and in a strange way it helps one to focus on whats important in life by highlighting the temporal nature of consumerism. The subject of the dead mall series is kind of like the life story of a hooker. Starting out eager and pretty, looking to impress in the early years. Then a dated and dusty place who's still trying to impress but loosing customers and lastly left as a dark old hollow eye sore in old age waiting for the end.
Dan, I commend you on supporting and loving your city. I think that says a lot about your character and insight into what Baltimore really is (the past~) and so much more than what is on the surface. Love your work.
...using drugs most likely. Crackheads and alcoholics deliver flyers from local carryouts to houses in the area using those orange bags. They are paid just enough to buy their drugs. This explains why package theft es an issue.
Hi Dan, I'm excited to see that you'll be uploading videos to this channel again. I love your Another Dirty Room/ Checkout Time series and I can't tell you how many times I've watched your other scary/abandoned videos. The old children's asylum is so freakin cool! Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for putting so much time into your videos! Oh, and we have the teddy bear/balloon/candle/tee-shirt shrines scattered across Toledo, Ohio too.
Saw a PDF list of Baltimore building condemnations and closures and that Saveland Food Mart closed after a fire that happened listed on the date 11/11/2015.
I think you actually make Baltimore look interesting. I never thought about the place much before other than that it was where Edgar Allen Poe was from and it was really poor but you've actually shown quite a lot of interesting things there.
Thank you for continuing this series. I really enjoy them, and look forward to more in the future. Can't wait for the new Dead Mall episode tomorrow!!! Have a great weekend Dan. -Mark
the grocery store is on federal street. The pump station is no longer used because they filled the lake and built Lake Clifton High School on top of the area. The school is now sinking little by little.
I love ❤️ your channel but it just makes me so sad to see what has happened to our historic city. I worked at a large law firm back in the day. I am too scared to go there now. I feel I was lucky to see it and walk it in my teens and 20s and 30s.
According to Baltimore City inspection records the saveland market closed 11/11/2015 due to fire. The damage sure makes it look a lot like that Ames store though
Dan Bell / Film It on a side note I really wish the Dixie square mall in the south Chicago suburbs was still standing for you to explore. It was the OG of abandoned malls. No one ever gave it the video treatment it deserved.
Hi Dan. Just found your TH-cam channels! 🖐 Love them All, especially you and Rick 😁👍 I love your "Quiet Time" videos in this quiet time we're going through at the moment. Love from Geraldine. U.K. xxx
Spreepark, beelitz , Wünsdorf, teufelsberg , bogensee .... Jaaa da gibt es echt viel ... In österreich leider auch nicht so viel - but not so much in Austria :(
omg I love your work and you are the first youtuber that I had become a fan of and been watching TH-cam it can about. I love your voice and your adventures. You are a brave one.
The valve house looks like a church. I don't know how sound the walls are but it they're sturdy it would be great to see that building used in some way. It's already hollow and if the walls are strong maybe something could be done.---People do sometimes go from hating their town to loving it. The first time I seriously worked on a writing a short story---not knowing how it would end when I began writing---it turned out to be about the narrator unexpectedly coming to love the town where he grew up.
I'm not trying to be that guy...but the body armor drink was founded in 2011, so maybe it's been closed for a half a decade. Love these videos, and really love the dirty room series.
The abandoned supermarket is cool in the respect that it looks like a fairly modern building to be abandoned, I would guess it was built during the 1980's judging by the styling of the remaining ceiling panels.
Heh, I can relate and can't relate to your opinion of Baltimore. On one hand, I used to love Portland and grew to just hate it. I moved to Tulsa and I genuinely enjoy it, but a lot of people just can't see the beauty.
My brother lives in Towson & I always enjoy my visits to Baltimore. The architecture of the old buildings is amazing, no one builds those kind of details into a building anymore. Thanks for exploring some of those old building for me.
I totally agree with you, Dan. It is heartbreaking to see these historic places just left to rot.
Hi Ruty D, Im a big fan and follower of Adam and also Dan Bell, I couldn't help to recognize you, just sayin hi!
It so sad to see old buildings just fall apart, know one to love them
Just gonna take the newspaper down to the abandoned house on the corner, for his morning constitutional, and then he's ready to start the day!
October Rose And/or maybe he used it to wipe as well. Who knows.
That's what I thought when he walked out putting the paper under his arm.
October Rose
Heading off to work...
He was doing black guy stuff like shitting in the abandoned trap house!
Thanks Dan, I could just listen to your voice!! I like this little series as well, kind of a break from everything else! Take care!😀
Yes, please. More dead mall/abandoned building videos. I'm over the "bedbug motel" stuff.
moparedtn another dirty room is now my favorite series on youtube.
I'm surprised some don't want to watch anymore dirty room... I think it's absolutely hilarious. Each to their own I guess. Love all of your stuff Dan. Quiet time is quite lovely.
Scarlett Whisperer it reminds me a bit of Howard Stern show too when they all do the commentary.
ADR is awesome. I had a blast marathoning it, and was sad when I finished it. One of the best series on TH-cam. I hope he makes more.
I really like Baltimore too. I lived in the D.C. area for a while and folks down there thought I was crazy. As you said, it's full of history. Thanks for another great video.
"somebody was iced." that's how you know the man is from Baltimore lmao

Watched it in the bath after a long days work, it doesn't get better than that
The Wire is the greatest TV series ever made and these trips to the bad parts of town get me all sentimental about Detective McNulty and co.
You crack me up Mr. Bell when I need it! You are awesome!
Thanks for the film Dan!
Thank you for watching!
You are definitely a brave, brave man. Being from a small agricultural town in California we don't see much of this stuff (abandoned places) so I really enjoy watching your videos. your my "real tv" to the world that I don't get to see lol
Dan Bell / Film It hey looked at satlite and groc. store still appears open, my point being it prob hasnt been closed 10 yrs?
I will gladly watch this while I wait patiently for the next ADR video. I love Dans voice.
I would love to see some abandoned homes, hotels, Hospitals, apartments, etc...with things left behind.
Jennifer Herrington its very rare in bmore tht thier is anything left bc the junkies will take it
I miss the abandoned house/building films. I enjoyed this.

That guy seemed so high he didn't see you guys standing there! !
I really enjoy the quiet time videos Dan. Thanks for sharing! 😊
we appreciate all the work you put into your videos as you are one of my favorite youtubers

+Laura RomDeussen how horrible.
These videos are my Xanax, whenever I'm stressed out, have a bad day or just need to clear my head I watch Dans channels.
Quiet time in bed with Dan 🤗
I think I prefer these to ADR. The howling wind makes me feel all cozy and sleepy tucked up under the covers.
my old home town was full of history, and they tore it down. it is so sad when a community doesn't respect their own history.
Thug Life Dan, using a term like "iced". 🔫🔫🔫😆
porridgesilt I know, right? 😂
Baltimore has a lot of beautiful history . sad to see some of the building in the conditions that they are
These videos are my Xanax, whenever I'm stressed out, have a bad day or just need to clear my head I watch Dans channels
The valve house is beautiful, they don't build stuff that style, or structures that last that long anymore.

love the quite time videos. glad to hear more are on the way!

I LOVE IT WHEN U EXPLORE MY CITY!!!
personally I love the dead mall series way more than dirty room but that's just my humble opinion which is worth basically nothing.. anyway I'll watch anything you put out Dan!

I love that you can laugh at yourself!! Keep on with the awesome videos!!

Schedule of videos? Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait!!!!
Loving the Film It videos! These are probably the most enjoyable for me. Hope you keep doing them.
Your commentaries are so funny which makes it more fun to watch 😂 and that guy popping out made my heart skip a couple beats lol 😫
I am soooo ready for the Dead Mall stuff you have yet to edit. PLEASE Dan, more Dead Malls...!!!
Love your videos and your enchanting voice.
Dan, I commend you on supporting and loving your city. I think that says a lot about your character and insight into what Baltimore really is (the past~) and so much more than what is on the surface. Love your work.
4:44 dude was definitely in there taking a shit, he had the newspaper and all

He was doing something under the radar. You can tell with the 'avoiding the gaze' action, like he's not even surprised Dan is filming.
thanks so much Dan Bell love all your work great video s can't wait for more
This sounded so much like ASMR
Right?

Morning Mr Dan! thanks
SWEET..... Dan Bell is still alive !!
Wow, reminds me of Detroit. I go in abandoned buildings a lot. Thye are tearing them down to build the new stadiums and stuff. I like Baltimore too!
The valve house is beautiful, love your voice!
amazing Dan. Really hope you keep bringing out these lightly edited videos every now and then.
Love Baltimore too Dan!!
enjoy the Film It and Dead Mall series...dirty Rooms, not so much.
Me too !
I love Another Dirty Room. I hope he makes more.

You are the first person in 5 years I've heard use the infamous Dixie Square Mall name. Shit, chills went down my neck.
NorthAndre the Blues Brothers disaster
3:54 Someone was iced right here. XD
Really like both of your channels!
Hi Dan. Just found your TH-cam channels! 🖐 Love them All, especially you and Rick 😁👍
I love your "Quiet Time" videos in this quiet time we're going through at the moment.
Love from Geraldine. U.K. xxx
I don’t know what it is about Baltimore, but I love it!
4:51 Walking out like a boss.
You should come to Germany and do these films. Trust me, there are so many insane and creepy places you can check out.
Spreepark, beelitz , Wünsdorf, teufelsberg , bogensee .... Jaaa da gibt es echt viel ... In österreich leider auch nicht so viel - but not so much in Austria :(
I was there from 86-95, I went inside an abandoned WW2 bunker outside of Frankfurt.
omg I love your work and you are the first youtuber that I had become a fan of and been watching TH-cam it can about. I love your voice and your adventures. You are a brave one.

Yes!! Thanks @thisisdanbell this is awesome!
Thanks, Elise!
Thanks for interesting and entertaining video - just as always.
Cheers, Dan!
Thanks Dan! So relaxing with headphones :) Greetings from Germany!
It used to also be a beauty supply and convenience store I used to go here.
Really enjoyed this!
I'm not trying to be that guy...but the body armor drink was founded in 2011, so maybe it's been closed for a half a decade. Love these videos, and really love the dirty room series.
this is the kind of video I like
another great video!
I love it when you make yourself laugh 😂
Your voice gives me the chills
I really love his voice - and the cute laughs ;) ❤️
The abandoned supermarket is cool in the respect that it looks like a fairly modern building to be abandoned, I would guess it was built during the 1980's judging by the styling of the remaining ceiling panels.
The Lake Clifton valve house looks cool AFFFF.
I love that architecture. Like I wish my house looked like that 😄
Good to see new vids on 'Film It'!
Cool Video Dan Thanks. And While your in Baltimore, Stop by and Say Happy Birthday to Edgar Allan Poe for me....
Quiet Time is great to go to sleep to with headphones 👍🏻
Dan gives me serious ASMR. LOVE your voice 💞💗💞👍
Heh, I can relate and can't relate to your opinion of Baltimore. On one hand, I used to love Portland and grew to just hate it. I moved to Tulsa and I genuinely enjoy it, but a lot of people just can't see the beauty.
Fantastic video Dan the man!
Love your stuff thought. :)
He was lurking so he could make some new teddy bear spots.
It looks like a building in a lot of Van Gogh paintings.
body Armour is a new drink so this hasn't been abandoned for to long.
Dan you sound like the painter guy I think his name is Bill Ross
52969RST Bob*
@2:57 Dead DJI Phantom Drone, on the roof!
Yeh! I thought I was the only one who noticed that
Damnit, I missed it, being a Phantom owner, now I have to watch again.
on its back, dead and abandoned just like the Building, Awsome
sweet video Dan
Same with teddy bears and balloons in San Antonio, TX.
super - love -awesome
