  • Here we brew a Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra IPA, which I came across from a friend who introduced it to many of us on Vaughn Live. This is an extract beer with steeping grains and hop additions.

Loved this post Craig. I have watched you for years and now going over some I have never seen before. Love your drum fills between segments. I'm a drummer, guitarist, Electrical Contractor, Father of two boys, home brewer and just a few years older than you. You have been an enjoyable part of my week for years. I love watching your posts on my Friday nights, after a long week of work, relaxing with a home brew just watching anything you did. I hope you know your awesome. (Don't listen to your opinion, listen to us. That's how you are out here). Thankyou for all you do.

Good to see you back with a new brewing video, I find your videos relaxing to watch. I would watch you read the phonebook 😂. Torpedo has been my favorite beer since 2009. It's usually cheep here in Arizona. After a few you're ready to say good night. Magnum, Crystal and Citra is a great combination to play with. It's my go to hop schedule. Very difficult to clone at home. Cheers Craig!

I learnt to brew from watching your videos back in 2011. I don't think there's a single video I have I missed. (I wonder if there's a way to tell that) Now I brew all grain regularly. I have brewed everything from beer to wine kits (Hardish to get is Australia) to Mead to even applejack. Everything I have learnt or have been inspired by your videos. Even have a sourkrout on the go. Will never tire of watching brew Craig. Thanks for everything. Cheers

Sierra Nevada bottled beers are bottled conditioned. It should be possible to culture the sediment in a bottle to create a yeast starter for making this beer. Thanks for all the work that goes into your videos.

Also, run some hot water thru the chiller before adding it to the pot .... it might help to not drop the temp of that boil that much 👍im going to attempt an AG version of this sometime very soon. thanks 🍺

You could try to do a NEM - Non Enzymatic Mashing that brings with more flavor, aroma and color of the malt.
The beer comes out as a session around 1.020 OG.
Suggestion would be to make two beers one in the traditional method and another pure NEM with the same density.
The style would be focused on the malt as an Oktoberfest or Marzen.
