  • This is a repair on a leaking Hyro Booster, while on the truck, replacing the seal that usually fails, causing most common leak. Just make sure you don't misplace the small metering valve washer, locater between the housings two bodies. Usually it stays in, but it can also just fall out, as easy.
Welcome to my TH-cam site, here we'll have hunting, sailing, home repair and things that don't quite fit my other two channels, which are "Smokehouse BBQ" cooking channel and "Tafe Farmer" which has every thing to do with my tractor and things it does. Thanks for visiting and enjoy my content.

Yep redid mine last week same way. Cleaned out some pieces of loose rubber gasket and thoroughly sprayed assembly on firewall with brake clean to make sure I got it all out... Well I'm redoing it due to the fact a very small piece of rubber got in between the new gasket and the piston.
Rule of thumb I keep a couple of full kits on hand, be ause they have the small three hole piece and yellow plastic dual use valve. Getem from eBay bout $18 Great job Click Click

Will this also work on a 5.7 little gas?

I belive those have a vacuum booster. Diesels are hydraulic and run off the power steering pump.

Hi: Keny, The seal that snapped in was one. The second one in the front that was just hanging at the front of the booster. Did not that second seal go at the back of the resevoir and in between the front of the Hydro?) I ask because the piece that was hanging inside the disassembled booster wasn't really clear/identified? Please let me know. I have a leak right behind the resevoir. Thanks,

The booster has the piston in it that has a seal. Is that the one your talking about? I've done this to 2 trucks I've owned, a 1992 and a 1999, they both just needed the seal on the piston and the figure 8 seal. Thats the only ones i did.

Do you happen to have a part number or link to the kit??

Amazon has them, I only used part of the kit. I've done this on two of my trucks, both just partial seal replace. Both split while on the truck. Good luck. Just put a towel under it, in case that little valve falls out, like mine did.
