Ahhh awesome lesson my man! I've been playing for Bass for about 3 years, but your work still gives me new information I never thought about before!

Whenever I click on your videos the first thing I do is to click the Like button. You have never given us a terrible lesson, ever! And this one came at the perfect time, I've been practising some of these recently trying to make sense of chords and inversions.

how/where did you learn all your theory and how long have you been studying music? I really enjoy your teachings.

30 years playing and learned all the theory stuff from a combination of music college/university and reading as much as I can.

This would be very valuable for anyone who starts off only on bass. However, I started off on six string acoustic guitar and still play acoustic and electric (1octave higher) instruments so I have known about chords and inversions for donkeys years. Logically it should just be a question of doing what I do on guitar in terms of fingering. Is there anything extra I should be aware of from a bass player perspective?

Hi Mark, do you have any lessons on eliminating fretting hand tension? I've had a scroll through your videos and couldn't see one. It's put my playing in a real rut because I can't move ahead - I hit the wall and end up with pain :-( any tips?
