Because silver atoms are neutral particles and therefore do not experience lorentz force in a M.F and thus spin effect will dominate which is the main focus of the experiment.
@@priyankaaggarwal6986 here is exact reason to choose silver is that this atom have single electron in outer orbit that is why electron spin will interact with magnet and show the deflection .......
The biggest problem with these lectures is this : why do you write while you teach? cant you make a ppt and just explain the concepts and write where ever necessary.
That's the worst possible way of studying . I have done a course in which they taught using ppts . It was the most boring course . Why the hell would you want that ? It's much more interesting when words are appearing little by little with understanding in each step .
Hindi bahut hi aadhunik vigyaan may pichdaa hei. Quantum mechanics ke 90% shabdon ka Hindi may anuvaad hee nahi hei. Agar lecture 90% English me ho, aur 10% Hindi may, toh aaapko kya faidaa hogaa? English hee science ki bhaasha haei.
IIT lecturer are great...we are from normal colleges feeling great
Thank you so much... Your lectures are really helping me
Thanks a lot for such great lectures :)
As z increase B decreases not the gradient of B???
Homogeneous magnetic field ka grd.B=0 but here magnetic field is nonhomegeneous so grd.B not zero
Sir Why we used Silver atom in SG experiment
Because silver atoms are neutral particles and therefore do not experience lorentz force in a M.F and thus spin effect will dominate which is the main focus of the experiment.

There are too many derivations which can't be done via a ppt. So I write them all along as I derive.
