The 1000 Powder ski is light, happy, and loves to butter and swerve! (You’ll understand what a “happy” ski means once you’re on 1000 Skis) Expect to enjoy quick turns and smooth and easy to control smears and butters both on the slopes and in the backcountry. Unless you’re into landing switch on big powder airs, I recommend mounting bindings 3.5 to 5 cm behind center to avoid diving in deep powder. I’m standard weight and 5’11 or 181cm and choose the 180cm ski for its overall versatility. I would choose the 188cm ski for super steep, fast and big stuff. Yes they’re expensive, and yes you get what you pay for. You’ll love em!
