Thanks for the test Maurice. I did hear what I was looking for ,which is the underlying sounds beneath the turbo whine. Not sure it's much better than the combo I'm using now. Agree on volume levels, mine are down in the 40s. Will get at least one of his speakers to try out. Thanks again for the test.
You are very welcome. Hmm, I have all my locomotive volume at 100% and some of them at 115%. I'm going to reprogram my locomotives down to 70%. I may do this to my Uncle's models as well. When the models are all running at the same time the loud settings can be overwhelming indeed. The only volume settings that will remain very is the horn or whistle.
@@OmegaDeus8467 Having two or three of the same prime mover in a lashup can be quite loud even at my low volume settings. Agreed on horn volume though, I want it to get your attention.
Sound is true, usually people set them too loud, you need to imagine HO scale people and how loud is normal, which is pretty low, i have to adjust loksound 5 to about 70 for scale correct sound, sometimes 60.

So you put the loksound 5 on the 21 pin tsunami board? Did all the F settings match, or did you have to move wires?
No. The board is my Athearn. Athearn sell two boards, one for RTR and Genesis. The F functions were mapped correctly.
@@OmegaDeus8467 Nicely done.
