- In memory of my dear friend, Tony Greene. This was recorded at the Calvin & Doris Evans Memorial Camp Meeting in Ashland, KY. What a great testimony and song. Tony will be greatly missed!

I love Tony Greene-I know he is home with God but he is missed.His wife TaRanda is having great success now but she really suffered when he passed. God was there for her and she still sings in Praise of God.
As a United States Marine I went to twenty six countries. Almost forty years in federal law enforcement. But the greatest thing I have ever done. Was to serve my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. A sanctuary minister for seventeen years! I can honestly testify there is no way I could have been these things. If it were not for The Almighty Hand of God holding my hand 🤚! Oh God I love ❤️ more than words can express! Please 🙏 God always hold me and don’t ever let go! HALLELUJAH!!! Amen 🙏

Spent 1 month in the hospital last year with covid pneumonia and was on 100 percent oxygen. I thought I was dead, but Lord had other plans for me. Disabled due to a damaged lung. However this song helped me pull through. That month was the worst time of my life and I was ready to go home to the Lord. I need you daily Lord.

I only have Jesus. My family, including my husband, were not there for me when I was going through some very difficult period in my life, but Jesus never left me. I had nobody to talk to, but Jesus. Now I came out of the valley, but I only rely on Jesus. Nothing and nobody in this world matters to me, but my Lord Jesus Christ.

It’s not about him coming into your life rather, asking him to save you and placing your faith on him! God wants you to confess he is Lord and believe on the song of God jesus! ( Romans 10:9-10 KJV ) You just need to call on him and ask him to save your “ Soul “ not your life. ( Romans 10:13 KJV). You can only out trust ij what he did for you on the cross. If you measure you salvation on your works well we all come short. Salavation is in no other than the Lord. ( Eph. 2:8-9 KJV )
Tony Greene was my cousin and what a special young man he was. Tony, Kim and Tim I have always loved my whole life. His precious grandmother and my grandmother on my daddy's (RIP daddy I miss you and love you so very much everyday) were sisters. The whole Hayes Family and The Greene Family was so sweet, precious and special. Love this video!

Allow me, Sir: it is not the nation that needs revival. No: dead people need life; it is the dying who needs to be revived. Practical, isn't it?
It is us, the dying, who need revival. The Church. We are the ones in deep trouble. Our Lord and God says we are blind, poor and naked. Nakedness means "loss of glory'. So, then the dead: the nation, can, through our walk can be brought to life. I therefore adjure you, by the mercies of God, pray for us, the Church.

What a great, great man who loved our God. That mental image of a healthy Tony running those streets of gold shouting, "well glory, Thank you, Jesus!" makes my heart swell.
I was privileged to hear and be in services with The Greenes many times before Tony went home to be with the Lord. And this song and the testimony that Tony shared means more to me today as I know all that he went through before his passing. I am sure he would not change a minute of it as he rejoices around the throne of God today!

Down on my knees, that's where i learned to stand and I thank my Lord and Saviour for taking my hand. When the world let me down, He picked me up. Now, Jesus Christ, is filling my cup. I sometimes get dry and there's nothing left to give, that's when I read his dear words and I learn how to live. Sometimes it's one minute, one day at a time, But he always remindes me; sweet child your mine, just trust me sweetheart and you will be fine. TYL.

I'm the same age Tony was when this was recorded. Him and this group have been a blessing to me and their songs are the ones I teach for over and over when I sing in church. My life has forever been changed by Jesus through his message!

This testimony sure gives you perspective. I get on here and listen to these old songs when I'm feeling down...it just does something that lifts your spirit and lets you know everything is going to be ok.

Sister, Taranda and family i was at that meeting in Jasper, Florida with Colbert an Joyce Crofts singing that night that Tony was talking about. What a glorious time we had i live about 15 miles from Jasper.Taranda we will and have been praying for you and your family. We will all miss Tony so very much. The Lord Bless you all. David, me too. I was 19 yrs old on Okinawa with the Marine Corps when I was saved, 18 Jan 75. Rumors of North Vietnam invading South Vietnam had just happened earlier that week. We thought we were going back into war against North Vietnam. I knew if I'd died, I would go to Hell. I went to church that Sunday night with my friend Danny Lopez. When the alter call was given I went straight to the alter, and Jesus saved me. People say you should not be scared into Salvation, but for me it worked, and still saved for 44 yrs ago. Praise HIS name.
@@usmc-veteran73-77 Jude v. 22 & 23 talks about some being saved by compassion, others by being pulled from hellfire. (i.e. scared into salvation) I think your testimony is just fine and thank you for your service to our nation.

Bringing back memories. I first saw them when they were a bunch of teens barely out of high school. Followed them ever since. Just my opinion, but I think Tim is one of the most anointed song writer ever. I remember being stationed in Turkey in my Air Force days. Low and behold the base exchange carried The Greens cd's.

After My wife and I lost our young 31 year old son in 2017, we thought the world had ended and everything seemed so dark and that after a life time of serving God and believing in his almighty healing...well...my belief was shattered into a million pieces though I know he is there....only with Jesus, could we make it through and still am. My uncle Louis Dicks was the lead singer for this song when he was with "The Original Five Blind Boys of Mississippi." He passed away last year. May he rest in peace.

Mrs. Joyce is/was (we stopped because of Brother Croft's terrible condition) my piano teacher. We keep making plans to start back, but he needs her more than I do right now. I see her every Sunday because she plays the piano at my little white church in South Georgia with only about 30 people each Sunday and I am the only teenager. I beg her everyday to sing this song. They are truly God's gift to this Earth. I thank him for letting me become so close to them in the past years. They are angels
Such a true testimony, we can't do anything ourselves but it takes Jesus holding our hand He did say this I have done and you can do and greater, but it takes him to let us do these things, thank God for the name of Jesus is how we can do these things.
