    I know this is irrelevant, but anyone here know how inulin is manufactured?
    Is it extracted from some kind of a plant?

    • @theunknown1803
      @theunknown1803 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      no clue bro

    • @mitchdjamel3778
      @mitchdjamel3778 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      This is what wikipedia had to say,
      The extraction process for inulin is similar to obtaining sugar from sugar beets. After harvest, the chicory roots are sliced and washed, then soaked in a solvent; the inulin is then isolated, purified, and spray dried. Inulin may also be synthesized from sucrose.
      Hope it solves your issue.

    • @mitchdjamel3778
      @mitchdjamel3778 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      from CHICORY ROOTS.
      "The most abundant source of inulin is chicory roots, which are used for the commercial production of inulin"

    Thank you very much. My creatinine clearance is 159.84ml but when i did my creatinine test 1 week prior to creatinine clearance test, i got 1.6 and egfr of 54. Which result should i trust more and why? thanks in advance

    • @MinuteMedicine
      @MinuteMedicine  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Creatinine levels can fluctuate based on factors such as diet, hydration, and muscle mass. Additionally, eGFR is an estimation and not a direct measurement.
      Since your creatinine clearance value is relatively high (159.84 ml) and your eGFR is lower (54), there may be discrepancies in the results. It's important to discuss these results with a healthcare professional who can interpret them in the context of your overall health and medical history. They can provide a more accurate assessment of your kidney function and guide you on any necessary further tests or treatments.

      @@MinuteMedicine Actually the Professor of Nefrology who requested for the clearance test said based on my muscle mass, medical history and result, my result is excellent and i shoudnt bother checking until a year later. Though I'm relieved, I want to repeat the test a few months later. Thank you so much for taking your time to reply me. Best wishes

    Gfr = crcl correct or incorrect

    • @MinuteMedicine
      @MinuteMedicine  ปีที่แล้ว

      Correct. Creatinine Clearance is an estimate of GFR. But true GFR is slightly lower than CrCL.
