    You have AMAZINGLY PERFECT handwriting! Sadly, my Mom had stage 2 CKD. She had SCD w/ beta Thalassemia and oddly, HBP! She recently died from Acute Liver Failure at age 78! I think the meds added to her problem with her kidneys and heart and ultimately…liver failure!

    I had some blood labs done a week after some pain i thought might be kidney stones (i could hardly walk for a day).
    My BUN was 29 and BUN/Creatinine was 32. My doctor said all other kidney markers were within normal ranges and similar to past results so she wasn't too concerned.
    I have been eating alot of almonds/nuts and dark chocolate lately so that might have been the reason.

    Thank you for this informative video. What is the ratio of creatinine and bun? Specifically, is BUN level of 87 mg/dL natural when creatinine is 3.4 mg/dL?

    Great video. I weight train 4-5 times a week and often fluctuate 10-15 pounds seasonally depending on training goals, diet, etc. but am typically ~18% BF. My creatinine has historically been around 1.29-1.3. eGFR and everything else is normal, other than high liver enzymes depending on when I tested in relation to my recent workouts. Most docs seem to panic about my kidney and liver levels but it never seems that is taken into account my exercise or body type. How high of creatinine is actually worrysome in someone with more muscle and consistent hypertrophy than the average person?

    What happens if you have high bun/ creatine ratio 26 and a low creatine .68. Thank you

    I am a bit confused. When you said that lower creatinine was due to Lean Muscle Mass? Do you mean low lean muscle mass? My Creatinine has been below 0.45 for the last few years. What can I do to increase my creatinine levels?

    I had high bun and creatinine levels. I thought it was my creatine monohydrate I was taking. I stopped taking that and my levels were still high. Did not improve at all. I work out 6 days a week. Hard weight training. Am I just working out too mich?

      Hi,from what i read hard exercise can lead to higher levels

    • @TRDPro1995
      @TRDPro1995 24 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      I would think a urine test would be helpful. It would be normal to have higher levels in the blood stream with someone who consistently weight trains. I have high liver enzymes and creatinine levels. Also check you eGFR for kidney function.

      Thank you so much for commenting! I am not exactly sure what your comment is referring to, but I’ll try to explain.
      Serum creatinine is a by product of muscles and filtered by the kidney and then excreted in a persons urine. If a person is dehydrated, this can reduce renal perfusion leading to a reduced GFR which results in less excretion of urea and creatinine, resulting in increased serum creatinine and Urea (e.g. BUN)
      Keep on studying! You got this!
