I translated the lyrics for the movie revue songs mostly in the week and a half leading up to the blu-ray release with the intention of just making lyric videos for them, and then when the movie dropped I lost my mind and subbed the whole thing on a whim (and barely slept for a week). So I'm a bit later than I wanted to be with these videos.. but regardless. The rest will be coming soon :)

I watched this movie for the first time last weekend, hot off rewatching the series again to prepare myself. When I first heard this, I realized I really was not prepared for how awesome it'd be. And now, for the first time, I find myself listening to Revue songs on loop. A first for someone whose music tastes are primarly 90s alt rock and game music.

The order given to the music composer was "concrete" + "jungle". And moepi was asked to sing in a "its an easy task" way.
It's the first song written for the show and the codename was "nana musou", "musou" meaning the action of cutting down enemies in the game Dynasty warriors.

Also I think the middle eastern (Phrygian) progressions they were choosing fit with the theme of the starlight play, since the setting of the play is in the desert, and based on the sets that we can see during the play scenes in the show (the starlight festival), which have infrastructures that have squared roofs (typical infrastructural design in middle eastern countries), we can say that it has atleast a middle eastern influence
