Damn dude. That's a hell of a collection, and huge aquariums. I'm not big on the larger species available in the hobby, but they look great in such large tanks.
Like 45! How are you my friend? All Beautiful fish! Love all your different drift wood! I stick bamboo right in my filters with lava rock! It keeps the water crystal clear like your water! Those are awesome stingrays! Always love all the shovel nose catfish! That's an awesome bargain on that 240! Awesome Arowanna too! You have a lot of great tanks! Great video! Enjoyed the video from beginning to end! love your channel! 👍 Keep up the great work! Have a great day, happy fish keeping and stay in touch! Take care till next time! 🐟😎❤️👍🐠
Love your fish room, Thanks for sharing. I love King clown knives but will never have another one due to size.Had a needle nose gar that would shimmy through my hand when I cupped it in a circle.
Thanks man I've got a more up to date video out now to u can check out if u want. Also the big tank is on a drip system so I don't ever do manual water changes on it 🙂
Ayyye when you mentioned the vulture cat I heard you are Massachusetts as well!!!! Obviously my tank collection nowhere near this but IT WILL BE SOMEDAY (I can only dream for now)
Your tanks and fish are awesome!👍 I was dying 🤣🤣 when you talked about "Pinky" calling him an asshole just found it funny.. Hope to tanks like yours one day!
Love it I need to build a huge plywood tank for my wels cat for obvious reasons they don’t stay small but been getting as much info on builds blueprints and such as I can
Matthew Zito in the end he focuses on the fish. you can tell he really doesn’t care too much about the inside of the tanks and that’s okay. his fish look great. that’s what matters when you really think about it...
@@bcicichlids5632 When you go to the zoo would you rather see a tiger in a bare, empty cage, or a well-designed naturalistic habitat? Which do you think would encourage more natural behaviors?
The zoo has paid employees and charges people to view animals in an artificial environment. You can't compare my basement to the Aquarium. I'm doing what I can to keep the fish healthy and safe from injury. I've been to many aquariums and they have a lot of the same fish I do that are in terrible shape. Likely from tank mates and injuring themselves on fake decor. If you keep monster fish u know that simple is best. Decor is pointless for almost all the fish I keep. It's about safety. Also keep in mind I have helped many people and took in many of these fish because they were in tiny tanks. Maybe I can't mimic their natural habitat but at least I got them into a big home where they can stretch and swim.
G'day from Oz mate. Wow, you have some awesome tanks, and some fantastic looking monster fish. I got a giggle out of "the fish with the big brain", which given how smart Flowerhorns are probably isn't that far off the mark. Great video, I know how much time and effort goes into editing these things. Earned yourself a sub with this ripper collection. 👍👍
With all the moisture from the tanks, how do you control the moisture in the tank area. I am concerned about the start of mold or other issues. My basement is dry walled with a drop ceiling. Have you installed a type of ventilation fans?
In the winter I run a dehumidifier on auto. In the summer I run 2 fans and keep the windows open. You need to cover the tanks though. All my tanks have lids to keep evaporation and humidity low
Off The Deep End Aquatics Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I think a lot of people don’t think about health issues that could possibly arise without thinking about venting and prevention.
Awesome work love all your tanks. My Giant Gourami is like your Albino. Doesn't it piss you off how he rubs his teeth on the acrylic scratching it all up? My 220 was pristine for 4 years then bam all nice and teeth scratched. Still love the bastard anyway. Looking forward to subscribing and checking the rest of your videos!
The ping pong ball theory for drop eye is thought to help prevent it but the only way to correct it is surgery. So even if that theory works on some level it wouldnt help with the existing issue. Not really a big deal to me anyway
Hey man yes you might be able to get away with a 4' as long as it's at least 18" wide. 2' wide even better. Minimum 75 gallon imo but that would be borderline too small for a life time
Nice video, fun to watch. I like your setups, very impressive actually. Like & Sub’d. Question: Do you still have your Bandit Cichlids? I’m seriously looking into getting a group of Guianacara (fill in the blank) for my 180 South American Tank. They are awesome looking fish, and it looks like they get up to about 6” + if well fed and tank conditions permit.
If you asked me a year ago I'd have lots of them for you but I'm down to only 3 now. I had them for over 8 years now. Sold a bunch, gave a bunch away and some have died off.
Wow You have so many fishes and aquariums im just 14 years old but i have 2 aquariums and the fish i have is predator fishes i have 1 community tank full of rtc, silver arowana,2 tiger oscar, knife fish i like your fishes and aquarium that's my dream one day i will be like you
Any need to support the floor for any of those tank? Thinking of getting bigger tank but not sure of the weight. My property doesn’t have basement by the way
Nice tanks. If you need to rehome any fish you should call the Ohio Fish Rescue. Big Rich and Josh run it and they run literally a rescue for fish especially monster fish. You kind of remind me of them rescuing all these fish. I am sure you can get in touch with them on Facebook. Keep up the great work.😍😍😍👍👍👍💖💖💖🐟🐠🐟🐠
By the way a cheap way of doing a background on the back of your glass. You go to Walmart and you buy those cheap plastic tablecloths for those big banquet tables. They're like two something for three of them. It's a very inexpensive way of doing it and you can pick any color you basically want I just usually pick the black ones. Or you can just get one for $0.97
I don't believe oxydoras can breed with Pseudoplatystoma...?! Ripsaw catfish belong to a family called doradidae where tiger shovelnose belong to Pimelodidae. Sorry I think the lfs were mistaken although that catfish is AWESOME!! cool collection I subbed!!!
Off The Deep End Aquatics you don’t have any special bracing or anything bc from what I read o lien it said it wasn’t recommended. Bc I was looking to put a 125 in an upstairs bedroom
Predator fish eat other fish and convicts are a much better feeder than anything marketed as feeders in the industry. Not sure what your 40 years has to do with anything but you should know that fish eat other fish.

Thank you and no Fahaka puffers are true freshwater puffers.
flowerhorn looks awesome man , you should do more videos just on him!

Rays+tank... Bet they love it !!
Lots of gallons.. But no gravel interior etc
54 corner = pretty fancy for a hospital tank

Yes he ruined my 180 and my 240 so i moved him to a glass tank. Took 5 rounds of buffing to get the scratches out of the 240
Amazing video!!!
Thank you!
Brilliant tour, thank you.
Awsome fish.
U should try putting some ping-pong balls in the 300 for the arowana (all tanks look AMAZING)

What's your water like there? Do you parameter chase or are all of your tanks getting the same treatment?
Everything gets the same treatment. Try to keep nitrates below 40 is always the goal for every tank
Do you plan to fix drop eye ?
No I do not

What's the reason some fish have the hybrid name ?
They're hybrids. A cross between 2 different species
Hello fellow Mass guy. Just subscribed. Nice tanks.
Thanks Rich!
