With mound nests, you need to keep adding sticks. Each time you add sticks, the nest's warmth increases. I really think Beipi should have Hypsi style nesting, where they collect sticks and then sit on the eggs.. Not a fan of mound nesting for Beipi.. I mean.. come on! It's a duck! lol

True makes sense but collecting more sticks adds for something to do to be fair, running around is pretty fun when you’re dolphin diving everywhere
If I remember correctly there are actual waterfowl that mound nest so it's not that unbelievable.

I could totally see Beipi being a niche for tropical beach gameplay when those islands on gateway come out. Away from Deinos, plenty of room to swim around and forage with. Epic, I could just imagine a little Beipi using it's claw to crack a hole in a coconut and plop a bamboo reed in it and start drinking lol!
That nesting dilemma was so traumatic. I never suspected to see a nursery drama unfold in an isle video. You could write an actual country song with what took place here. My heart aches for your poor gentleman duck/penguinasaurus.❤

@@timo-2046 At first he did, but it's like deino- you have to keep on top of it because it's a struggle. It gets colder faster than you can warm it up if you don't stay on top of it.
while it’s not as a dramatic gameplay as other playables it’s really relaxing and adds a lot of life to the rivers and the game in general i’ll finish the rest of this vid tomorrow to tired now, truly love your commentary and gameplay feels like you’re really speaking to us ur my favorite isle player so far truly appreciate the videos ❤️

The eggs failing was not your fault. Once you figured it out, the female should have helped gathering sticks. Because then you could have gathered enough quick enough to save the eggs. It was her fault.

I love the slow progression of being amazed by everything from juvi to young adult, then the moment your poor bepi lost its nest you turned visious both play style wise and commentary wise xD

When doing stick nests, you need to build it until that green bar disappears completely, then either manage your nest (E without a stick in your mouth) to cool it down or add sticks to warm it up. That yellow/green ring on the eggs and saying incubation 0% means they rotted and are no good. The lines over top mean that you have bad eggs, and "manage nest" gets rid of them.
Rip eggs. Looks like thats a debris nest which means you need to constantly put sticks on it to keep the nest warm. The yellow means the eggs all rotted due to the cold. harsh life in The Isle
I love the idea of a little prehistoric penguin hanging out beside a mud pit, commenting in a sarcastic monotone voice that the nearby kid is going to grow up to be an a-hole. 😂

I think you have to keep adding sticks to warm it up like a Cera nest, some Dinos do have to sit on them, but maybe not with Biepi, that bacon (lol) symbol may indicate rotten eggs

i'm pretty new to the game but enjoying it a lot so far. can't wait to give the duck a try. one thing i find weird is you can only form groups with same species. i get it for the carnivores but i feel like it was very common for all herbivores to pack together, strength in numbers and all that. but i've seen on a lot of servers cross co-op is against the rules
You need to keep adding decomposing material (sticks) to keep it warm. But keep it in the middle of the bar otherwise it gets too hot.
The smelly lines above it means the eggs have rotted from too much temperature damage.
Even if one of the parents dies, as long as the eggs have been laid you can raise the babies if you manage the nest correctly.

The yellowness and bacon meant rotten eggs to warm up stick nests you have to fill up the bottom bar by adding more sticks ,sitting on the nest to warm up the eggs is only for mud nests (I think)
Rotten eggs is when the eggs become unviable / the fetus dies due to bad conditions aka you let the bebes freeze to death and hitting the nest reducs the stickness in the nest which made it even further away from being filled up "-"

**NESTING FACTS** (sand probably knows due to comments, but I'll place anyway incase & for the people that need it):
Diets:
Diets effect egg quality & clutch number!
0 Nutrient Diet = Bad fertility, low chance of good eggs.
1 Nutrient Diet = Okay fertility, medium chance of clutch (clutch = amount of eggs).
2 Nutrient Diet = Good fertility, pretty good chance you'll get a full clutch.
3 Nutrient Diet = Great fertility, 100% chance to get a full clutch of eggs.
Eggs:
Yellow Eggs = If first layed it means the eggs are infertile | If good eggs are layed and turn yellow they either got too cold or got to hot and now are rotted.
The "Bacon Symbol" = Your eggs have been/or went bad. (The symbol is suppose to look like a stinky smell)
"Manage" Nest = Only gets rid of rotten eggs, will not affect anything otherwise.
Nest:
Dirt Nests = Build with your mate until the egg icon appears and you can lay. You only are required to sit on these types of nests. (Think Raptor or Teno)
Stick Nests = Require stick collection, once built you only have to sit on the eggs. (Think Ptera or Hypsi)
Mound Nest = Still require stick collection. Once you lay eggs you have to continue adding sticks until your eggs are finished incubating (be careful not to add too many or too little!) You can always tell if a stick nest is actually a mound nest by grabbing an extra stick and trying to add it to your nest! (Think Deino or Carno)
Additional Note:
Mate Requirement = If your mate DIES, LEAVES GAME, or UNPAIRS, you cannot use your nest/eggs. Both parents are required to be present for the eggs to be obtained by players to nest into.
Single Raising = If your mates dies, leaves game, or unpairs, though you have hatched a few babies already, you can still raise and feed them fine.
I know this is long but I hope it helps a few people, I see many players struggling with nests.

Not every single father in The Isle threatens the local Pteranodon. You did all
you could, and you did damn well. And it all happened because of the weird
simbols like the 'Yellow Bacon'. That 'yellow bacon', is actually signifying that
the Eggs are Rotten. And the 'Hold 'E' to Manage Nest' thing means to get rid
of all of the rotten eggs in the nest, usually used when the eggs are layed,
because depending on the diet of the parents there might be rotten eggs.
And plus, you can always try it again in a later session.
And with that you've definitely gained another sub loved it, last one was more epic, this one was more relaxin, awesome as usual, keep em coming, i hope next one is gali bc i don't see a lot of gali.

Idk if it works for Beipi but you need to "fix" or something your nest so it goes up. Some nests you can sit on some you just "fix" or whatever the prompt is xD
Managing the nest means that you get rid of the spoiled/rotten eggs, and cools the eggs if they get too warm (your diet affects how much eggs you can lay without the majority being rotten, if you have a poor diet you can only have like 1-2 eggs at a time only the female has to worry about the diet when laying eggs though)
There are four types of nests in the game atm, and beipi’s nest requires continuous input of nest material in order to stay warm (sitting on that type of mound nest doesn’t do anything) the only other dino with that type of mound nest is deino iirc
When nesting. If your nest is made out of sticks. You are supposed to keep adding sticks through out the incubation. To keep it warm! Carnos and crocs do that. So I think bepi is the exact same! 💕

You can smell under water but you have to be latched on the riverbed. To do that just click rmb and when u sniff there will be bubbles where crabs are
with the bepi nesting u have to constantly add sticks to heat up the nest even if its fully built

if you go to the area where the river goes up to Northwest, by the waterfall part, beipi can jump up onto the cliff there to nest which would be really fun to see

I just bought the game. I may try it tonight. I just have one question. I know I saw rex videos on TH-cam so where did they go?
you saw a vid of the isle legacy which isn't in active development anymore. what is being played is the isle evrima which is in active development. to play it, right click on the game in steam and switch the branch to the evrima branch. if you want to play legacy, that is where you would see the rex. the rex wont be out for evrima for a little while and when it is added, it will be only for unofficial servers.

Just watched a video of the Gali that you chased down as a troodon and jumped into the water off a cliff in center he also killed you a little later
To keep the beipi eggs warm you need to collect more sticks and start piling them on the nest it will warm it up
I do not play much other than omni, but sometimes being the beipi who terrors swimming guys is so much fun

When you are small at swamp you can jump out of the water and land on top the dam. But then you grow up and can no longer jump that high. :(

I think the eggs rotted. When you are in nest view it says eggs: Z I think you needed to use z to see the egg info, maybe invite a player to hatch, or get rid of the rotten egg. While it was at 92% it also said to use Z, so I think you might have been able to invite a player then and the other 8% would have been the player loading and then hatching.
I know you can’t nest alone. The nest may not be viable if the female abandoned the nest.
As long as the eggs have been laid you can raise them with only one parent alive.
The Beipi nest is the same as carno, you need to keep adding sticks to the nest even after the nest is finished and it will incubate the eggs. sitting on the nest doesnt do anything.

did they fix where you have to hold shift to fast swim? like how u can toggle sprint on land but for some reason in the last update they took away toggle to sprint in water

they should make it so that the Bipi isnt on Deino's diet, and make it so that if the Deino had recently eaten, the Bipi can pick food out of its mouth, in exchange, the Deino gains increased bite damage or reduced stam consumption on holding creatures underwater after the Bipi cleans the deino's teeth. might make water a bit safer for Bipi's
So is the troodon the night terror of the isle, the cerato being the badger or big vulture, the galli a big emu, and the beipi being the murder penguin?

Any idea why my game keeps getting suck trying to load into a server? At first i had the easy anticheat issue and fixed it, but then, now, I either get disconnected due to "full" server when its 56/100 players on OR it just gets stuck at "connecting" - really frustrating. My PC is about medium specs to run the game, and its all on medium/low settings
