Wow the Americans had to wait for this bike, we Aussies have had it for about 9mths, so i guess we going to be inudated with American reviews, lets go!!!
I now have 6400km on mine & loving it. Couple of points, Your dealer will sell you a factory tall seat, a much better fit for us taller riders & as a bonus its very comfortable with the higher foam. Talking about seats, yours seems to be missing the 2 rubber grommets at the front, they attach to the holes in the plastic 'posts', they do tend to fall out because being rubber they grab against the frame when you install the seat, a dab of grease in the grommet fixes that. Not sure if you worked it out but you don't need to stop to disengage the ABS, just push the button & close the throttle, offroad mode stays engaged. That bash plate dents very easily, you can buy aftermarket ones but I used skinned it with a sheet of 5mm HDPE, that stuff takes some serious hits.
Looking forward to your progress on this bike! We have yet to get one at the dealer I work for. I feel you may have some confusion as to the pricing in the invoice. The dealer unit price is the price that the dealer pays CF Moto for this unit. Then CF Moto suggests that the dealer sells it for $6,499.99. They can then do with that what they will. They can mark the price down if they are having trouble moving the machines off the lot or mark it up if the demand is high and supply is low. Seeing as how these are new models and there is a lot of attention in our market for them, they will likely not price them any lower than MSRP. As for the freight, these bikes have to be sent to the states in shipping containers and then put in long haul trucks to the dealership. That is where the freight charge comes in. If the dealers ate the delivery fee, they would make peanuts on each unit after the salesman took their selling commision and the dealer wouldn't be able to keep the lights on. The customer then pays the freight fee on top of the MSRP. The dealer prep and PDI (pre-delivery inspection) are where the tech in the service department will remove the bike from it's shipping crate and assemble all necessary pieces to make it a rolling chassing and working motorcycle. They will then go over the bike and check for tightness of critical fasteners, verify correct fluid levels, make any cable or drive chain adjustments, set tire pressure, make parameter changes in the display, perform a QC test ride to verify all systems work, clean the motorcycle and deliver it to the sales department. With the fee being $634, you just have to divide that by the shops labor rate to find the flat rate time the service department has charged the sales department for the fully setup and clean motorcycle sitting on the floor. Of course, if the sales department paid both the freight and the setup of the motorcycle they would make no money at all. The customer is responsible for these fees and they will show up on the invoice of the motorcycle. They aren't doing anything shady or hiding any price gouging in there. Honestly, you may be lucky to pay MSRP. My guess is that when these start hitting showrooms everywhere in the states, the greedy dealers will mark up the price of the MSRP because of demand. They did the same thing in my local area with the Tenere 700, because of low availability. Have fun with that thing and remember to make it as stinkin' cozy as you can!
Excellent first impressions video, looks like you may need to order their tall seat, looking forward for some more content on the bike, and later how does it feel in comparison to your scl500, specifically for mild trail riding Thanks for sharing 👍
Nice review. You've made me want an IBEX 450. It looks every bit as nice as a Japanese motorcycle. I can't wait to see one of these in person. I was looking at the 700-800 cc bikes, but they are heavier than I want to deal with. The IBEX 450 may be the one. The Himalayan 450 and 390 Adventure R are also on my list. The parallel twin may win out since I already have a single popper DRZ-400.
Glad to see your review. Been thinking about adding that bike to sit next to my 690 Enduro R. On the seat height, think they offer 2 different seats. Short and tall one. Be safe
You are very entertaining, I love your excitement with new bikes. What a great selection. I may switch my Rally too. I am 5'-7" so the MT may be a great choice. Please keep going!
This is one of the most anticipated motorcycles in a long time. I hate neon also. However, with drivers these days, I want to be seen. Safety supersedes looks.
I wonder if you are confusing the Ibex for the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, which does have two height positions for the seat. I haven't seen any other reviews for the Ibex that discuss anything other than the availability of a Tall seat option.
I have a 29” inseam. Do you not think the rally seat will make it too tall?? I was thinking of getting one and putting the suspension link on the lower hole, and maybe winding the preload down too. Thoughts?
For shorter riders, the Rally seat might not be necessary since the rider triangle won't be as cramped due to shorter legs. On the plus side, once a rider becomes more confident they can always get the taller seat
I stopped in at my dealer up in Washington on my way home from work last night after seeing online that they had arrived. These bikes are very nice. TOP NOTCH build quality, not low end looking at all. I am very impressed. The dealer has already sent a few home with buyers and only has two blue ones in stock at the moment. Several observations: 1. The front of the tank seems to be a lot wider than a T7 tank / fairing area. 2. The seat height allowed me to totally flat foot with both feet and still have my knees bent a little bit. I'm 5'9" about a 30-31" inseam (jeans size). A taller seat would probably be fine for me. 3. The windscreen and instrument display screen seemed a little bit further way than on a T7, though the display screen is lower.
@@Adventurerider1985 Empire Cycle. They are also the Triumph and Husqvarna dealer here in Spokane. I don’t recall what other brands they sell. They open at 9am. If you wanted it, and weren’t in a position to drive across the state to get it, there’s a good chance I may head to the Tacoma area in the next month or so and could meet a buyer near Tacoma. I have an enclosed trailer I transport my bikes in.
I just hit my local dealer and rode the demo bike for a while. I only see one downside to it. It is NOT geared for Texas highway speeds. Other than that, I love it!
It dies, but it also rubs off again just as quick, I've even tried black shoe dye, lasts a bit longer but still rubs off eventually. I now have 6400km on mine.
CST are the initials for Cheng Shin Tire. So they're a known brand of dirt bike and motorcycle tire that's been around for ages. While not something like a Bridgestone they're decent for the money. I've been looking into an Ibex 450 as a potential purchase since they've announced it. Though I'd eventually change the stock tires to something much more aggressive if I were doing trail riding. Mabey a road legal dirt bike knobby or something like the Metzeler Karoo 3. But I'm not familiar with Metzelers since I've never owned any so I don't know if the Karoo 3 is even any good. They look nice and aggressive though.
I have the 800 Ibex T. I love it. I have tons of accessories and already paid for a service plan. I really like this 450 but would hate to lose my money trading in. This 450 looks to be an amazing bike. A little more off road friendly than the 800.
I think CfMoto have about 600 dealers on USA and they have a main office too in the US so this is a realy good bike i have had mine for a year now and have drived 8000 kilometers on it and not one issue it is a quality bike even it came from China! I have ATV too from Cf Moto who eithere have had any issues that one is from 2023.
HA! Not what I was expecting for a first mod. Deposit on the KTM 390 ADV-R when pricing was released. It will be a bit over $8000 with the reg here in Mass.
I was seriously considering one of these but settled on a Tenere 700, mainly because I heard these are pretty small from seat to pegs.. I am not sure I want to watch this video I may regret the extra money i've spent!
I took the chance and watched haha and got to the part of you complaining about leg room.. glad I went with the Tenere, i'm 6'3 and gout has caused some joint damage in my feet so I really need as much leg room as possible. This wouldn't have worked for me.
Good bike but its too late for US market. There are so many 450cc midweight adv proliferation since EICMA. Riders are spoiled with revampped DRZ4S from Suzuki, brand newly developed F450GS by BMW, incoming Turareg 457 from Aprilla, possible KLE500 from Kawasaki, and already existed Himalayan 450 from RE and NX500 from Honda. Don't know any strong incentives for this particular bike.
No good place to mount a GPS. Can't really mount it to the bar above the instrument, since that goes down with the windscreen, so the GPS would prevent lowering the windscreen all the way.

Cant wait to get mine!
Traction control setting is speed sensitive. You have to be going below a certain speed to turn it on/off

Got mitas enduro xt plus tires on mine. You’ll need a tougher bash plate, rally seat, and crash guards.

Yes, they have one blue/white that is still available. Kevin is the sales guy I talked to. Tell him Doug referred you.
Which dealership?

Dang, no word from my dealer in Olympia, have a deposit down, just waiting for delivery.
Thank you much for a fantastic U.S. review. Seems like the perfect bike for me.
That camo flat black is sick.
Wow I love the adjustable linkage, this bike looks sick.
Reminds me of my ktm 890.

The blue and white version also has a pink stripe on the seat. It's a soft velour style fabric. A black sharpie marker would fix it in 10 seconds.
It dies, but it also rubs off again just as quick, I've even tried black shoe dye, lasts a bit longer but still rubs off eventually. I now have 6400km on mine.
That’s not a bad price. I’d be pretty happy with that if I got that deal
I'm on 0:41 you still haven't showed the bike! However, i will guess what it is! 450MT - 100%. (editing the comment) Just saw the name of the video :D
Leave it to adventure undone to be the US person to do a full first look/review. With what he paid. Fuckin LEGENG

Wait, WHAT?! They upgraded the suspension on the 2025 model? That was the only flaw the bike had in the first batch!

To be fair all factory tires no matter what bike suck ass

Pink? Maybe my color sense is a bit off-isn't that neon yellow trim?
He's referring to the pink on the blue/white version.
@@DualSportDoug Oh, thanks! I was a bit worried I might be going color blind. And yeah, I completely agree-pink just doesn’t work.
