Last 8 years am doing service on former Fiat, current Jeep dealers, true sai motors in Salem. You will get best ever service over there.. don't think service and spare issue if you were nearby Salem..

I used punto due to corona crises I sold it. Which ran hardly 40k kms. With well maintained company service. Now, I'm trying to buy but not getting the quality car the way I maintained it. It is really a top notch superb and futuristic product on those days itself. Except service quality and the seating comfort. I loved it. Thanks for taking us to the old generation by remembering and recollecting those wonderful Italian machines. Now, I chose the option which is skoda rapid. Really, car enthusiasts know about the machine and the built quality more than futures and mileage...

Just given my 10 year old Punto for a full body paint. I have test driven so many cars in the market today and nothing puts a smile on my face in the highway than my Punto.
Last week I got chance to travel in Punto via bla bla sharing.

Hi Motowagon team! This is Venkatesh from Coimbatore. I still own a Fiat Palio 1.2 ELX (2002) in pristine condition. To be honest, my car is parked in garage for past 2 weeks due to unavailability of temperature sensor (trying to source it from Mumbai). But i still love the car, no matter what. No other car gives the feel and feedback like Palio while driving it. My family keep on insisting me to sell the car as the spares are too expensive and in addition to that we have a Seltos and a Tiago too.But I'm in a mindset like whatever happens, let's take care of this car and never even think about selling it.

Well researched, as you pointed out, FIAT was and is the largest producer of engines supplied across the globe.
FIAT , ciquocentti 500, was supposed to be introduced in India in 5000 customised models to cater to the FIAT lovers,but a few were imported and sold in Mumbai and the dream came to an end. FIAT500, cost was around 27lakhs in 2007.

The first 20 min of the Podcast was a good recollect of the past. But the next half is the reality to the Fiat. In my earlier car buying days I always look into Fiat before going to some other brands. At that time Punto, Linea were some of my dream cars. Being the poor after sale service network I skipped those cars and moved to alternatives of American brands like Ford & Chevy. But today the same situation prevails in Jeep and Citroen. We consider these brands but ended with some other Japanese or Korean Brands.

Nostalgic moments நண்பனின் Palio 1.6 multijet தான் வண்டி ஓட்ட கத்துகட்டேன். அப்ப இருந்து FIAT fan boy . 2012 இல Grande Punto 90 HP வாங்கினேன். clocked 2 lakhs and still it is running solid.

My friend insisted me many times to buy Abarth - Punto ! I was a fan boy of Honda Jazz for its looks since 2009 when i saw it in roads… but now i regret for not taking abarth! I feel Jazz is soo under powered i wanted fun rides… Jazz is smooth as butter! I really feel bad for the current generation… poor cars… poor looks…. I miss long sedans…

My connect with Fiat started with Paleo. Thats what where i started following the car market after using Fiat Uno. As a passenger seat member at a age of five..
Fiat can make it big if they get the following right :-
> sub 4 or sub 3.5 meter car(s).
> best built quality.
> well performing petrol engine that gives milage and power(like the 1.2 litter 4 cylinder they had on the punto).
> good futuristic design.
> decent amount of features, especially touch screen.
> Last but not least priced under 10 lakhs.
Because we Indians are very demanding. 😅
I having fiat linea classic plus diesel bought on 2013. Till now driven 2.7 L kms. Fantastic car . Fantastic road grip even if you go for long drive no discomfort or tired. I'm looking for a fiat re entry. Until that I don't want to change my car. As you said, service is a onky concern area

My first car was Fiat Premier S2 still feel nostalgic. Then got my Fiat Punto at 2017 this month I sold it with heavy heart because of unavailability of parts. If they bring back the brand I will definitely buy their product.
Which city u live ?
1.4 FIRE FIAT with AC off can compete a BMW or Merc sedan. But poor gas mileage when driven in city limits (Fuel mileage drops to single digit😢). Fiat Petrol is purely a highway car. Hope Fiat brings cars like corolla diesel (unbelievable mileage even within city)

Asir I do own Fiat Premier S1 still I Love Fiat Uno is excellent car with 22-23 kms / lit in Diesel -1.7 Engine, Palio 1.9 a Good Car to Handle with V.Good Mileage.
Automobile Companies must choose a good Dealers as well train intrested persons as mechanic's and should be surplus in Spares. If Fiat comes here again should take care of their old car 's like Uno,Palio,Punto,Siena, etc so consumer's will be more enthusiastic.

I have a fiat punto diesel sports edition. Yes its true spares are on the higher side. Little delay in getting spares sometime. But its worth the wait. They way it feels while driving. Tats the fun. Love Fiat. If Fiat relaunches will sure buy another Fiat.

Great analysis Mr. Asir and Co. I have a Fiat Pure(Grande). I don't have any complaints with the car. It's undoubtedly a good car but Fiat as a brand let the consumers betrayed with poor service centers and availability of parts. Punto is my first car which I bough in 2016, it doesn't even have an airbag protection. When I wanted to purchase a car I did not research on anything else when Swift was topping the sales and painting the city in Red, I went in for a Fiat with no second thoughts. But as time went teh supporting factors of owning a car hurts us bad. The loyalty is broken. As you rightly pointed out "You cannot sell a car quoting BUILT LIKE A TANK", nobody cares if it is built like a Tank or not, everyone is looking for value for money. I still love my car and I travel long distance with it, my family loves it. But if Fiat comes back will I get one, I will definitely think twice.

I still own a Punto diesel 2013 model. What Asir bro said about the driving dynamics and build quality is true and incomparable with other cars in the segment. But the service and genuine parts sourcing is a pain. Fiat should come back to India correcting all their past mistakes.

Then again I bought TJET LINEA 125PS BLACK 2019 Brand new in 2019 January when fiat is packing it's existence dealer called me and told sir fiat is stopping it's production and sales but u ordered for TJET cancel ur order sir it's good for u he told but I said I WANT TJET ONLY PLEASE GET IT FOR ME. then he called ranjgaon plant that and specially ordered for me BLACK HORSE It changed my life I surprised by its power direct injection of petrol no waiting FOR SPEED Linea is a style car, it's a black 🐴 , ONE admirable thing is when I am going to tirupati from Hyderabad with family In the way I had a race with LEXUS my black gave tough competition for around 80 kms but LEXUS can't get me...... That is TJET DRIVEN BY MICHEL SCHUMACHER that's the value of FIAT LINEA TJET...... THANK YOU FIAT ....

As asir bro sonna madiri andha tight hydraulic steering use panna pudikala. But adhuku apron andha steering feedback ellam paathu andha car replace panna Vera car illa. Andha car la fulla innum naraiya prechana irruku mechanics ellam sale panna solranga. But adhu sale panna manasu illama vechu irrukan. Until now have spent around 2L plus in that car.

Very well explained. Lots of information. Thank you sir. My own experience Tata is very bad with dealership & service. When we buying the car Altroz 3months back, we saw safety & economy. Now I realised global NCAP Stars should be considered lesser. And me as an, next time car buyer I'll never consider buying a Tata Cars. I think this is going to chage buying decision of Tata cars with everyone. May be now Tata is doing good. But in future it won't be the same.Once a broken glass is a broken one. Same like once the true customer lost there trust, they'll never get that back. Please make an video about worst about Tata cars. And let others also be aware of there worst dealership & engine problem, back seat headrest pain, economy not good. Only 5stars they keep saying when we go for buying a Tata car. Thank you👍
