- This is the original 1977 music video for "Pinhead". I used the original video and added the 40th anniversary mix of the song on top of it. The only other version of this video uploaded to TH-cam has very poor quality audio. So here it is with better quality audio!

Nobody like them before....nobody like them since. Even though there's been a million imitators. The Ramones stand as one of the great "four members" in rock....alongside The Beatles, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, CCR, etc.
Maybe the finest Punk Rock song ever !

Wow, really cool footage. Been consuming everything from this band for over 35 years and never saw it- surprised this wasn’t on any of their DVD or VHS collections.
The audio sounds enhanced or remixed, especially the intro and “d-u-m-b” parts, and it’s good! I like that they were doing one of their punkier songs on tv, i like Johnny’s blue Mosrite, and just diggin the throwback vibes!
I found this footage on TH-cam. It had extremely compressed audio. So I just put the 2017 Remaster (I’m pretty sure, that or the 40th anniversary mix) over it.
I believe the music video was on the “It’s Alive 1974-1996” DVD.
Maybe it's the grass talking, but I've heard this song a million times, and it just blew my mind.

WOW. Thank you so much for the video. FABULOUS clip of a great band. I saw them at the Roundhouse waay back in 76, they played so fast the set was over in half hour LOL!!!

Not that I’m aware of. There are 3 videos for Road to Ruin in 1978.
Best I remember it was for a program but I would love to see the whole show
I saw them once in a smaller club in a strip mall. Got there early and had my own table right by the stage.

I've wondered that myself. It seems that even Johnny is goofing up quiet a bit. They didn't care for doing lip sync performances, though they always appeared professional while doing them. This may be their worst lip sync performance, in terms of how well they lip sync'd to their own song lol.
At first I thought he was playing the song at the second and fourth fret (forgot the notes) but he keeps sliding back and forth so idk

I never saw them to be a mimic playing lip syncing type. Especially Johnny.

counterpoint: they just influenced you to write that. BAM For real though, they are the real deal and they're not one of those bands that crumbles under scrutiny. Listen to the first couple of records including It's Alive and if you're not convinced, then maybe they're not your band. Which is cool. It's not gonna be everyone's jam, but I know what you mean when you say you sort of don't get it, I was that way and remain so about the velvet underground for example. anyhoo give them a shot, i assure you it's not as simplistic and juvenile as it sounds, although it is that, too.
