The reason it's called a "Wellness Center" is to remove the stigma of going to a "rehab center." It's removing barriers for people who are in crisis by allowing them to tell others they're going to their 'weekly wellness sessions,' instead of 'gotta go to rehab.' The easier we make recovery, the more people will self-elect to get help for themselves.
Also to save the person from the embarrassment of having rehab on their bills or having to explain to someone who is not understanding and can use wellness as a substitute
@YamiNoSensei13 I agree. I was at a party, which I am fine with and someone asked me why I don't drink. I said because I'm a recovering alcoholic. That person acted like , ig Gawd, I'll keep you safe, moving a wine bottle away, like I was going to suddenly guzzle it. They made me feel dirty, which I hadn't felt in years. I said, you don't have to do that... they treated me so weirdly, guarding the alcohol, and it wasn't even their party. I was taken aback, having never encountered anything like that before.
@@lotstodoI think that depends on what insurance you have. Ive always had BCBS and I’ve been to rehab over 10 times, and left before completion 3 or 4 times and my insurance still payed! But I’m sure there are some that definitely won’t pay if not completed
I personally don’t think the drawing that little girl did was bad at all! She’s an artist in the making! The more she practices the better she’ll get ❤ it actually reminded me of Picasso art
Exactly my thoughts! It takes practice to get good at drawing. My son would get discouraged, so I'd point out all of the stuff that was really great about his drawings. He's getting better and better. An actual artist saw one of his drawings once and said that he wasn't that good at that age and told him to keep drawing. There was a drawing that looked like a penis once though. I don't remember what it actually was, but it was pretty funny. I did not laugh in front of him. Once he told me what it was, I could see it.
I’m a palliative care nurse and we once had a patient whose family brought in his goldfish to comfort him. Well his sister put the fish in a glass to clean the little bowl he was in. The fish jumped out onto the floor and a nurse walked in to give meds and stepped on it without knowing. The sister came back and the fish was gone. Nurse eventually checked her shoe and found it. The funniest part was that the sister screamed and said ‘do something’ to which nurse replied “We don’t resuscitate fish sorry” 😅😂😂😂
I remember being really young, and drawing a picture of my grandmother. She was a bit offended because I covered her whole face in hard squiggle lines to represent all the wrinkles 😂
It feels like someone is scratching my brain with a rusty nail when I hear styrofoam screeching. I get the same thing when someone scrapes their hand over a balloon. When we get takeout and it comes in styrofoam containers, I go into another room, put my hands over my ears, and hum until my partner finishes unloading the bags and opening anything we're going to eat immediately. We couldn't figure out why certain sounds bother me so much. Even _I_ thought that I was being dramatic. Then we heard about misophonia, and my reactions to certain sounds _finally_ made sense.
Charlotte, it's called misophonia, when someone hates a certain sound. A lot of neurodivergent people have it. Mine is triggered by certain voices, like Adam Levine's singing voice but also the sound of licking, non-stop, like when my dog won't stop licking himself. I try so hard to keep it together but I just can't, it causes rage, not vomiting, for me.
Same here with dog licking! Rattling sounds in a car make me freak out and and the sound of someone sniffling! I just want to scream at them to get a darn tissue!!
@@lakishaguin6915For me it’s any eating noises, the ones you mentioned are high on the horrendous scale. ASMR videos with people whispering and tapping also make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up and are rage inducing.
A friend has a redneck co-worker whose favorite declaration is, "We can install from here to bum-f**ked Egypt!" They guy's been with the company for like 18 years, and a 3rd guy in their department is FROM Egypt. When my friend freaked out at the redneck's phrase, both guys looked at him like, "Dude, what's wrong?" They had never noticed or thought about it! Poor redneck was mortified, Egyptian was baffled he'd never thought about it referring to him or actual Egypt, and my friend was just relieved there was no bad blood or scandal or DEI issue! And I keeled over laughing at the tale!
I also found it funny and I would have laughed if anyone had said the same to me with my nationality 😂 I felt sorry that she even thought she could get fired over something that, when her intentions were so clear! But to be honest even asking someone if they're Chinese doesn't sound offensive to me (I'm from southern Europe)
As someone that suffers from misophonia, i do not get triggered by any noises that you make. You are one of the only creators that i know are safe to relax and enjoy instead of being on guard for another trigger. Love you and your work, Charlotte!
Btw, don’t put a fish in a bowl. It distorts their vision stressing them out and making them feel like they are being chased. The only reason most peoples fish die so quickly is because they keep it in a bad tank and with no filter.
As an art teacher, I am in love with the Mom and her attitude towards her daughters drawing because it actually does represent a whole lot more than what she drew, she’s at the age where she’s learning about how to express an identify herself in the world around her in a visual way, and that takes creative confidence is the hardest part of art education; and to see a parent cheering their child on to keep going that’s everything❤❤❤ I would make it fun and challenge the dad to draw something ridiculous and the daughter too so that it’s literally gonna come out abstract and strange either way, for example draw the wind and that will be a nice icebreaker to show the dad wasn’t trying to be mean and the daughter won’t be as upset personally. This is a trick I learned in grad school and it works great to make students learn that they are all students and can’t tell anybody who’s good and who’s bad when they aren’t professionals themselves.
The gardening story fills my heart. It is such a reality of having to keep track and remember what you put in the dirt and what you’re putting it next to. To only find a year later pumpkins that you thought were watermelons, you recently put in the ground a few seasons ago lol aw poor woman wanted to see the pretty pink/red then she thought it was a squash , witch so did I and it turns out it was a pumpkin, lol , and all she saw was white… awww lol 😅 keep at it girl that was a nice pumpkin lol
I have 100% done that watermelon pumpkin mistake and knew exactly what she had done when she opened it. The ONLY pumpkin I have successfully grown at my new house... And I cut it in half.
The squashmelon/pumpkin was amazing. Regular people learning about how wild plants can be is fun. You’re not stupid for not assuming these things, nature is weird.
@@raraavis7782 don't tell Charlotte we know, but she's pushing into 35 now and we love this for her 😊 honestly, if she can manage to go this long without feeling any hardhsip, I genuinely feel bad for her when she finally does......it's going to hurt her more than it would have hurt any of us who are used to that pain.
You're very emotional as a child, so losing a pet goldfish could be as sad for a child as losing a grandparent is to an adult. They're in no way equivalent, but emotions aren't logical.
“That’s how you say that’s a great drawing in French” 😂😂😂I literally DIED when the mom said why the dad was laughing at the kids drawing omg what a hilarious family.

I, too, hate the sound of styrofoam rubbing against itself. Made the mistake of telling that to a coworker at a place I used to work, and she thought it was sooo funny to come up behind me with styrofoam and rub it together. She did it so often that it started to not bother me as much, so, thanks Lisa, you snotty bartch.
My Grandma refused to ever lie so when we would draw or sing or dance or anything that wasn't amazing she would always say, "that's good for your age." My family and I all still say this to each other all the time even though we're all adults.
Former drug counselor here and yes if she self admitted, she was not required to stay (and from the story, it sounds like an outpatient center) so there is no reason why she had to stay at all 😂. Additionally, court ordered rehab is the same. You can walk out, you will just have a warrant because the center has to notify the PO that they left their care.
"Are you a Chinese person?" damn near killed me! 😆😆😆 I feel her pain because I was also born with foot-in-mouth syndrome. I'm forever saying stupid stuff like that.🤦🏼♀️
The thing is, she was talking to her coworker as a PERSON, not as a race. She was asking about what types of foods they like without any preconceived assumptions based on what they look like or where they are from.
@@Leesboringlife Yeah, I got that. I didn't think for a second that she was being racist or prejudging her co-worker. I actually didn't even hear that the person was actually Chinese until after I had posted this comment. I related to the "Are you a Chinese person?" question because that's the same goofy thing I can imagine myself saying to someone if I was just trying to find out what kind of food they like, and not realizing how funny it sounded until after it was already out of my mouth. As soon as I stopped laughing and was able to post a comment, I did, and when I hit play again and heard that her co-worker was Chinese I laughed even harder! Can confirm, pumpkins look like watermelons before they ripen! We planted pumpkins next to watermelons and gourds last Spring. I didn’t know, which is stupid now, that pumpkins were green before they turn orange. We thought maybe the pumpkins cross pollinated with something but we just let them keep going and they eventually turned orange and looked like what we all know a pumpkin looks like 😂 Here’s to first time gardening!
For some reason the styrofoam girl had me screaming with laughter. Then Charlotte's comments and laughter after her kept me going. Now minutes later I break out in laughter every couple of minutes. My eyes are streaming. I can't stop.😂 😂😂😂 Somebody help.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

As an artist, I know the pain of being a kid and trying to impress my family with my sticks figure and spaceship doodles... only for them to look at me and say "something 's wrong with that boy" ... but over the years, I kept at it and eventually, the jokes became support and I learned how to take criticism
Idk it seems like weird behavior to admit lifting up your kids and supporting their hobbies is the hardest part for you lol……like…idk. Seems off. Maybe i’m just blissfully ignorant but i always am excited and proud of my kiddos drawings

I just moved two hours away from my fiancé and my two dogs to attend college, I have been immensely home sick but watching Charlotte makes me feel like I am at home❤
I laughed so hard at the girl who didn't like the sound of the styrofoam because I can relate to that so much. I don't go to that extent of disgust but I CANNOT stand the sound of it rubbing together 😂😂
I used to have 55 gallon tank with larger exotic fish that eats goldfish and that brought back memories 😂😂, and yes the water gets pretty gross between cleanings
I actually find Charlotte’s voice soothing. She’s goofy, and reminds of like a big sister I never had to give me advice I never got on guys and friendships with girls
This was a real funny run! Highlights, ring cam girl, pumpkin/watermelon and styrofoam retch...and honourable mention to the drug rehab therapy lady, she handled that like a champ.
I did the exact same thing! My doc sent me a referral to see a neurologist & get testing done. I waited months for this appointment. I went through an hour an half wait time & hour long appointment to find out it was in fact Not a neurologist, it was a opiate pain addiction intake appointment & I didn't realize until the lady kept asking me "why are you here?" & "We dont prescribed opiates." I was like my doc sent me to be evaulated for nerve damage & I do not want opiates & she was saying " Mmhm thats what everyone says ." Finally I said "I think this appt is a mistake , when can I talk to the actual neurologist for some testing ?" Then she says "Wait what? we are not a neurologist we are pain management!" I was pissed! This was all after they made me take a drug test before being seen!
OMG! THIS HAPPENED TO ME, TOO! It was so confusing, like, why are you treating me like a criminal? Why am I being drug tested? Why are you talking down to me about how you won't tolerate me doing other drugs while coming here? What do you mean I'll be denied treatment if I don't stick to just what you give me? WHAT are you thinking to Rx me?! I just need the electromyography done to map my carpal tunnel!!! ...and that's when they figured out I was in the wrong place and wasn't actually looking to be drugged! It was a mess! LoL!
This happened to me too!!! Also, when my thyroid failed from being untreated for 25 years, my organs started shutting down rapidly and my doctor was the one who pointed it out.... he said he would be sending me to a specialist. I thought maybe an endocrinologist or something... nope. A PSYCHOLOGIST. Who was trying to convince me I was a hypochondriac, instead of having hypoTHYROIDISM. How do doctors mess up this bad?!?!
I never knew putting your face that close to a doorbell cam distorts your face like that 😂😂😂😂 omg I love the girl who pretended to be the random guys gf lmaoooo she's too cute 😍 😂
I don't understand people who don't have texture issues, I immediately know when something is in my drink that shouldn't.... especially a whole live fish 😂
I can't stand the texture of plates and utensils washed in the dishwasher, when that quick dry liquid is added. It makes my skin crawl. My husband sneaks it in thinking I won't notice, but I do.
Calling rehab a wellness center is pretty common in my world. At least not unheard of. I’m a massage therapist, yoga instructor, peer support specialist (someone who helps people struggling with addiction and mental health stuff) and stayed in a psychiatric center for several weeks. She should have just looked for a spa. And how do you not check their services provided before booking an appointment? That part baffles me. Now a part of me thinks she subconsciously checked herself into rehab and deep down she knows why. But that’s just speculation 😅 and I’m just playing around.
I drew a lot of family portraits as a kid, and I always made sure to include my dad’s balding hairline. It was years before I realized he was probably not flattered.
We dubbed my dad’s nose “The Ski Slope”, which thankfully my brother inherited instead of me. And somehow when we both had to draw portraits in art class, that’s the main thing you’d see if we drew dad. 😅 Did we subconsciously enlarge it?! Probably. Maybe? My brother’s portraits at least looked like his subjects! Haha, poor dad

Bluey literally just made an episode about this 😂
Picasso learned first how to draw PERFECTLY and THEN he started to draw whatever he wanted. So no, no Picasso.
As an artist, she has her own style and I could see her doing more if she chooses. Nurture your kids! Don't laugh at them!
I always tell my daughter that it's better than what I could do 😂😂😂 And it's the absolute truth!😂
16:40 This sound she makes has me in stitches!! Luckily I'm alone in my office right now. Good heavens, I'm dying of laughter!
OMG I'm dyeing laughing from the fake girlfriend clip. She was awesome for even being willing to fake that phone call for him
Charlotte laughing at her own joke for a minute straight gives me the courage to be me in this crazy world 👾
Hahahahahaha I lost it when she was patting hersef in the back loool
That mother comforting her daughter while her husband's on the floor laughing is the funniest thing.
That is hilarious! 😂😂😂
Hurry! Warm up the defib, CPR that fish!
😮
@@BigT2664 Do mouth to gill resusitation or something!

As someone who also HATES the sound of styrofoam rubbing together, I completely understand what the girl at 16:20 is going through 😂😂😂
It feels like someone is scratching my brain with a rusty nail when I hear styrofoam screeching.
Some of my siblings have similar things like this that they hate and my younger brother use it against them 🤣😂
Charlotte, it's called misophonia, when someone hates a certain sound. A lot of neurodivergent people have it. Mine is triggered by certain voices, like Adam Levine's singing voice but also the sound of licking, non-stop, like when my dog won't stop licking himself. I try so hard to keep it together but I just can't, it causes rage, not vomiting, for me.
Damn I have that too 😂 the sound of my dog licking literally fills me with almost uncontrollable rage, it’s scary lol
Any licking noise for me and Donald's Trump voice makes me mad. Angers my soul
Mine is loud chewing noises. Potato chips. Crispy apples. Things like that.
That "are you a Chinese person" comment had me crying. Even now, i can barely type I'm still laughing so much 😂😂😂😂
A friend has a redneck co-worker whose favorite declaration is, "We can install from here to bum-f**ked Egypt!" They guy's been with the company for like 18 years, and a 3rd guy in their department is FROM Egypt.
I also found it funny and I would have laughed if anyone had said the same to me with my nationality 😂
I felt sorry that she even thought she could get fired over something that, when her intentions were so clear! But to be honest even asking someone if they're Chinese doesn't sound offensive to me (I'm from southern Europe)

Yesss same!!
Btw, don’t put a fish in a bowl. It distorts their vision stressing them out and making them feel like they are being chased. The only reason most peoples fish die so quickly is because they keep it in a bad tank and with no filter.
So, fun fact: gold fish actually need a bubbler for their tanks. My carnival goldfish lasted 6 1/2 years.
And get tanks that are large enough.

LOSING MY MIND at the sick kid talking to the doorbell cam. Can you imagine if that'd been the wrong house
😅😂❤ oh my goodness, that makes that even more hilarious 😅😂
i was sooooo hoping it's a wrong house. but looks like she got inside, so probably it's her own
This reminds me of what my granddaughter would do lol. It's the young teen years you know
I was totally expecting it to be a "oops, wrong house" video.
Nah, that's her house. Her dad is always posting videos of her at the doorbell and other stuff. She's hilarious!
I can't imagine the frustration you must have felt...all that effort for nothing 🥺
Well, you can make pie out of green pumpkin.
It supposedly tastes like apple pie.
I was convinced that this woman had produced a hybrid zucchini melon!
For a moment I thought it was a really fat zucchini 😂
The squashmelon/pumpkin was amazing. Regular people learning about how wild plants can be is fun. You’re not stupid for not assuming these things, nature is weird.
If the worst day of your life was losing your pet goldfish, honestly you've lived a pretty great life and I'm super happy to hear that.
Yup. That's a very lucky person.
